A good, well upgraded shotgun in Mass Effect. Towards the end of my first play through, I had a Tornado VI, Heat sink and Anti-Geth rounds. It could kill a fully shielded shock trooper in one hit. I wanted to make love to it.

Wow, Thanks for the responses guy.
Anyway, you forgot the other great weapon from Red Faction 1, the Rail gun it shot that massive slug through walls and could take out anyone, or several anyones. Also it make killing the last boss a piece of cake, provided you use the Fusion Rocket launcher (also very nice and with a massive damage splash) to take out her shield.

I preferred a souped up assault rifle; Heat Sink X, Recoil Dampner X, and Heat Rouns X in the best buyable gun. Once you pulled the trigger, you didn't need to stop for anything. No overheating or accuracy loss, even when running forward at full speed firing on full auto. Gorgeous.
