The crossbow from Bioshock, the stake-gun from Painkiller, the .357 from Half-Life (either one) and the parrot-carrying-a-bomb from Serious Sam 2 all bring as much joy as they do pain.

Worthy mention should also go to the heavy machinegun from Soldier of Fortune. 40 round belt, underslung WHITE PHOSPHORUS grenade launcher, loud, stable, and it could pop peoples' heads like balloons.

Red Ryder carbine-action 200-shot range model BB gun!!

oh wait that's not from a video game...
...are you quite certain about that.

In agreement with several previous posters, revolvers are hot, wet sex. Flamethrowers are also downright delightful.

Machine Gun in Far Cry. It has that cool sound effect Commando used too, if I remember correctly.

Falcon from Far Cry. Actually Desert Eagle.

TAC Gun in Crysis. A handheld nuclear grenade launcher. Nukular is sexy, you know.

The muffled Viper (MP5) in STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl. It's a normal MP5, but with a non-removable silencer. It looks like it should be used in high-stakes stealth-assassination missions, not the Zone, but damn is it sexy. It's quiet, and there's no flash. So fun.

I, personally, find the Aries's human weapon, Kratos, to be pretty impressive.

i have to say that Browning Automatic Rifle from any WW2 game is satisfying. only 20 bullets in a clip but thats more than enough for one person.

Yahtzee pointed out that the Lighting Shuriken gun was cool in Painkiller and many people figured that meant it was the only standout weapon the game. Wrong interpretation - that's just an example: Every single weapon was cool in Painkiller. The most humdrum weapon in the game is a combination rocket launcher/minigun.

Some other sexy weapons:
  • The BFG, original Doom.
The portable thermonuclear missile launcher, Shadow Warrior.
The giant cannon gun in Serious Sam.
GEP Gun, Deus Ex. (It's not so much that it was a lock-on rocket launcher so much as how it was balanced against everything else in the game.)
Anything held by Dante in the Devil May Cry series. (Through extension, the God of War and the Heavenly Sword series, which knocked off DMC.)

Ok, I have to say The Gravity Gun and .357 magnum from HL2, the Gluon Gun from HL1, the Barnacle from Opposing Force, the Hammer of Dawn from Gears o' War, The Meteor Gun from Destroy All Humans! 2, the giant teddy bear in Dead Rising (well, actually almost everything in Dead Rising), The Python and Street Sweeper from the Godfather, the Handcannon from Resident Evil 4 and finally the Chemical Thrower from Bioshock.

The crowbar from the Half-Life series-

It's not just that its the first weapon you get (and thus the first empowerment of your glass-wearing FPS alterego). It's that I always use it in moments of frustration and indignation toward my opponents. In a game that focuses on intimidating, awing and enthralling the player, the crowbar represents to me a refreshing sense of invigorating courage and final judgment. I pull it out against the iconic, intimidating head-crabs. I use it to overcome the claustrophobia-inducing man-hacks (though the gravity gun is much more efficient at destroying them). I also use it to do things which would otherwise be much more practical, such as bringing down a hunter or a skinless zombie.

There's something about holding a robust, semi-sharp, brightly colored metal tool in your hand that makes "-but I have a crowbar" a very viable rebuttal to anything the game has so far thrown at me. The crowbar, along with the shotgun, are my two favorite weapons in HL2; the crowbar being the most phallic, though, wins in this thread.

Do the demon arms in The Darkness count?

They were alot of fun.

But if not the lead pipe from Streets Of Rage 2.

Desert Eagle (from anything) or the .357 magnum from HL2. Makes you feel like a big man.

The Cerebral Bore from Turok 2 is the ultimate winner.

Seriously, what weapon would be sexier than a gun that shoots out a device, which bounces across the room and eventually lands into your opponent's cerebral cortex, causing blood to hemmorhage out like a fountain from their skull!! And after all the blood is drained from your opponents body, their head explodes and their body is flown across the room.

That gun gave me semi every damn time I used it

I also want to mention the "Cow Launcher" from the South Park game. Nothing funnier than a cow landing ass first onto your opponents head.
