Ugggghhh, this must be a pivoting point for something in the upcoming horizon, I just know it.

Only thing I can say about this is it's going to fashion a new breed of WONDER SLUTS!

We must teach our children they are ugly right when they are old enough to know what beauty is. Then we shall teach the children that if they want to become less ugly, we will have to rebuild them into the previously mentioned WONDER SLUT!

So, think of it like brainwashing.

I'm somewhat curious as to the ages of all of you. You sound like disgruntled parents to me. Let them raise their kids how they want you really have no say in it. Its bound to happen eventually once people lose all these stigmas about sex. I say better sooner than later. And I'm not just talking about kids either, everything would be better if people weren't so damn puritanical and uptight.
They are talking about kids. Children. Children should not look like whores. This has nothing to do with "stigmas about sex." Seriously, what the hell?
Stigmas about sex is exactly why people have a problem with this. They may not be as overt as "sex bad" but they're still there. Its just clothing as long as they as they aren't selling themselves on corner what's the problem?

Children are not supposed to be thought of sexually. This is why they sell thong underwear and bathing suits for six year old girls.

I imagine the satirical conversation between one of these moms and their daughters going like this:
"Mom I want to be a doctor"
"That's good honey but you are going to be sexualized and marry a rich man"
"But..."
"No buts. Now go upstairs and do your make up. Remember you're a girl so you have no talent or brains."
I don't like this one bit

What, the West? Despite half of Japan's animated porn being of underage charecters?
Hence the term largely. There are going to be exceptions and even then animated porn is a whole different ball game from the day-to-day lives of the actual, real-life children in that country.

Well, with the exception of rare cases like that, I've always figured that since we're becoming less sexually-repressed, people are simply gaining an interest at a more natural age.

And when you get down to it, her wanting to be "like mummy" is fairly normal in young girls. That's not sexual on behalf of the girl just because her mum does it to herself for sexual reasons.
Interest at a younger age, sure, but that's not the same thing as society actively encouraging aspects of sex that I believe isn't healthy for children below 8. Granted this case is particularly extreme but they sell bras and thongs for girls that are years away from hitting puberty in your nearest Primark. I'm by no means a prude, I don't give sex and moral worth and of course children should be made aware of the facts of sex but it's unsettling when these kids aren't even close to sexual maturity and they're wearing clothes that would be considered sexy on adults.

I know that, as they haven't reached puberty, that it's not going to be a sexual thing for the younger children involved but it could lead to an unhealthy attitude towards sex once they do hit the 11/12 mark.

I really do find that off putting. Giving young girls bikni's and knee high boots and other fetishized outfits that should really only be worn by adults has always creeped me out.

And, going the other way, seeing adult female strippers or porn stars walking around in 'schoolgirl' outfits or even more disturbing are those 'little girl' outfits complete with big lollypops creeps me out even more.

Not only do we give fetishized adult clothing to little girls to make them look older, but we actually fetishize the basic elements of young girls appearance on adults. Very sick, if you ask me.
