You need a push? If I had one of those mile long freight trains, I'd attach you to the front of it and put SOTC on the end of the line. Its money well spent.
Aha, it seems people feel really strongly about this. So i'm going to get it as soon as I have the money I'm going to get it. On another note, I want Monster Hunter 3 on PS3 :( I would happily play SOTC and Monster Hunter 3...for a very long time aha, taking down big ass monsters, in awesome ways, what could be cooler?

Amazing game. Not top of the line graphics, but it's so unique! The story line has mystery to it and you can interpret any way you'd like. After you beat it you can also do timed boss fights, and do the lizard/fruit hunt.

Have fun!

It's hard to find a cheap decent copy, and I don't really like using Ebay, i'd much rather not have to watch it like a hawk, and know what I'm getting as quickly as possible :p

Got a local gametrading store? Try there. You'd be amazed what you find there. I found Panzer Dragoon Saga, Xenogears, and Virtual On at my local. All much older than SOTC.

I never got into Shadow of the Colossus.

Which is odd, because I loved Ico to bits. I think it was because a horse was not a worthwhile replacement for the lovely Yorda.

I got my copy from the used section of Game a while ago; but that was after a couple of months of (casual) searching. So yes, it does come in, but not very often. Although the quality of used games does depend on which store you go to (i.e. while the bigger shops get more used games, they tend to go that much quicker as well, but while the smaller shops get less used games, you can sometimes find some real gems).

I think it's already quite clear, but i'll contribute. It's a fantastic game, and it's one really worthy of being bought. If you played and liked Ico, then you will probably like SOTC. Don't get me wrong, it's not the same type of game. But it's beauty and scale are just as good, if not better.

Buy it!

Oh, just out of interest, what was everybody's favourite Colossus?

Mine would be the lizard in the Colosseum. Or possibly the huge flying one.

I hadn't heard of this game until very recently. S month and a half ago or around that. I've heard lots of good things about it, and i keep thinking about buying it, but its pretty expensive for a game that seems like it wouldn't take that long to complete. So my question is, is it worth buying? or should i rent it, and is it worth playing at all?
It's one of the best games ever. I'm not kidding, it's amazing. It's the pinnacle of what a game should be, in my opinion, it's flawless.

You will get about 8 hours play from one play-through but you will spend a number of hours just exploring the land and doing the time trials. I rented it at first because I was borrowing a PS2. It was so good that I decided to buy it. I have it up on the shelf even though I have no console to play it with. Some things are just worth holding onto like that.

I must point out that f you don't own a PS2 and don't have a first generation PS3 then you wont be able to run any PS2 games on it. Don't buy it unless you know for definite that your PS3 plays PS2 games.

I picked up a cheap copy after renting it and Im glad I did.
Its one of those games that in 10 years, people will still be talking about how amazing it is. Truly is an epc game.

Nah dw, I've got a PS2 :p. Weird thing is, i got my ps3, played it a bit, saw RE5 (Which btw, i am counting the days till, 17 :D) and then became fascinated by RE4, bought that, played it through, took up about 2 weeks, and now this. I think it's because i missed a few gems on the ps2, that i want to dust off and play. See what i missed.

about SOTC: IMO, (and it really has to be in your own opinion,) enjoy adventure games that you explore with a slow start into climax; then repeat gameplay. this works fluidly through this game

---------SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER--------------------------------------------------------------

newb questions: how do i make a spoiler box? what's the easiest way to get on the 4th bosses back? that 4 legged horselike thing next to the 4 hills? someone please pm me this. i do it this one way but it takes forever to setup and nail the landing. Also, what do the lizards that crawl around throughout the game do for you? i've killed them and i pick up what looks to be their tails and nothing happens. please and thanks!

The good thing about buying it is that you can take time to perfect the speed runs at the end of the game and just have alot of fun playing the enemies without having to find them first. Although getting there is about 3/4 of the fun. Am I the only one who felt really, really bad killing some of these, and really, really good killing others?
Think I generally felt bad for all but one.

The Bull, he keeps going for you it's not like he's totally innocent, I know you go to his place but come on. Do youthink he had a complex because he wasn't that colossal, a little small. "No, i'm not" Rage!!

Quote someone who's done a spoiler (like mine above) and the code will be there for you. Or read the forum guide - that's how I found out.

it is a prety good game, i had alot of fun with it, the battles with the collossus reqire though, but when you already know how to fight them it kinda looses apeal, i would say its worth rent because you can finish it in about 10 hours or less
its a realy good game, i mean realy realy realy good, but i'm not sur its worth buying

You can beat it in the span of a rental. It's DEFINITELY worth playing. Buy if you really like it that much or it you are a collector. It's impossible for me to explain the scope and beauty of this game. You have to see it with your own eyes.
Everything he just said. Shadow of the Colossus is my default "give me faith in the gaming industry game". When I play a game that has a great premise but ends up sucking ass *cough* Too Human *cough*... I will put it away and put in SotC to remind me that there are some great games out there.

I would recomend a buy, because it deserves it.
