Wow, fanboy much?
my appologizes if i came off as fanboyish, i was just baffled/shocked that "crap" was used to describe these really great games, regardless of system. I would defnend Halo (to an extent) if someone was claiming that game was total crap too.
As for getting a 360, i ahve no problem with that (even i would if it was really cheap or free) but to get rid of a PS3 is a bad mistake.
i really didn't mean to go fanboy, yuck. All consoles need to ban together [that is... Wii, PS3, and Xbox.. anything else, well is there anything else? :)] Gamers Unite!

Keep it and just buy a 360...it's damn cheap. Me I've just had PS consoles mainly for the whole fact I don't want too many different consoles all over my house.

I never have a problem with my online and my internet slows down greatly when one person down the street with the same internet connection thingy with Sky turns on his or hers internet. Maybe you just need to get a better connection for the online play to get better.

Then there is the fact PS3 are slowly....painfully horribly gut punchingly slowly working it's way throughout the world. Hell I bought mine when it was released and almost had mine stolen because of a lack of PS3s. Then again I'm in England and everyone else here is basically an American who has to get a 360 otherwise Microsoft will terminate their PC using their gerbil powered death ray.

No, you wouldn't.

Umm Wow that guys need to do a google Search a PS3 is A Dual core prosessor and Xbox is a celaron both intel...

Hello...wake up Consoles are the mystery machines of the past they are just slightly moded pc hardware.
Ok, let me re-phrase.
You won't get a PC capable of running current top-end 360 titles in FULL DETAIL & without slow down for anywhere near the price of a 360.

I built a PC around 8 months ago for 10x the price of a 360 and it won't run Mirror's Edge to the same level as it is on the console, I'm not just plucking things out of the air, I've experienced it.

Only reason I'd want a ps3 is because of Infamous. Other than that I could honestly care less. My Xbox Red ringed once. I restarted it, and it worked fine and has been for 5 month since.

It already seems like you've made up your mind, so you don't really need our approval or for us to tell you you're wrong.

I do have to agree with the thing about the controllers; the PS3 controllers feel very awkward and unnatural.
Really? they feel perfect to me, my xbox's anolog sticks bugged me a bit though

I love how people justify the PS3 because "All 360 come to PC eventually" - Whilst this has some element of truth, the fact that you'd need a monolithic PC to run the games anywhere near the 360's graphical level & without slow down is a huge hole in the argument.

I own both, and though I got the PS3 just for the exclusive titles, so far they've been a let down, MGS4 was passable, but KZ2 and LBP have been grossly overrated in my opinion, plus XBL leaves PSN in the dust, free or otherwise.
Not only that some people don't like playing on thier PC. I can sit in a chair at my desk looking at a 19 inch monitor or I can kick back and relax while playing on a 32 inch tv.

As for the OP well it is all about the games. If MS as more of the games you want go nuts. Don't worry about the RROD that is just a fanboy defense mechanism. I have had a 360 for years and never had it happen to me.
I've never seen what makes xbox live as good as PSO they all just seem the same to me really

I don't know why you're asking us. The PS3 has oh-so many exclusive games that I really want to play, but it seems you hate them.

It's your opinion really, decide based on that.

Personally I would have traded my own PS3 for a 360 this time last year as I had nothing to play, but now is a primetime to have a PS3.

A lot of game and blu-rays are coming out that look (dont flame) better on PS3. Take the new Red Alert, despite the wait, the game makes use of the PS3s technology to make a good looking game.

Sounds to me like you just wanted to start a flame war.

Red Ring Of Death?

I got through 4 360's in a month before reverting back to a PS2
i guess u abused urs then ive had mine for 2 and a half years no rrod no probs what so ever as long as u look after it
I marathon games, up to 18 hours in one go in extreme cases, then there are overkill sessions which are rare but go above the 24 hours mark
consoles are not made to be played that long so u cant blame the console that it brakes only urself

why dont u buy a 360 and keep ur ps3???
Good question especially since he'll never get a worthwhile amount trading it in or anything like that. Seriously you've already got the PS3 just get get the 360 and you can play ALL the exclusive titles.
Yeah you're being crazy. Just get both, since you already have one. Unless you can actually sell the PS3 to somebody, or you are LITERALLY just swapping it, with no other expenses, you might as well not bother getting rid of the PS3 if you have to trade in to a store because they'll hardly give you anything for it.
Because I own both, I can say that I would rather have the 360 because, if you're willing to pay for XBOX Live, then the console is great online and off, and if there's a game on both the PS3 AND the 360, it's ALWAYS better on the 360. Except Unreal Tournament 3, that game can be modded on the PS3.
The controller especially makes the difference. I wish I could use the 360 controller on the PS3. The PS3's controller feels funky and the joysticks don't seem to work very well. I mean, play a game on the 360, then play the same game on the PS3, and you will probably know what I am talking about.
ANYWAY
When my 360 got the RRoD, it made me realize how much more I wanted my 360 than my PS3. I liked the PS3 when I also had the 360, but when I only had the PS3, it sucked all of a sudden. All my friends that have game consoles have 360s, as opposed to just three that own PS3s.
I still like a lot of the PS3 games, and I'd never want to get rid of it because then I couldn't play those cool games.

My point is
You will probably like the 360 more than the PS3, but unless you are directly trading a PS3 for a 360, or you really really don't want to play anything on your PS3, there is no reason to get rid of the PS3.

I gave up on my 360 - It's been fixed once, replaced...and died again. My PS's on the other hand, are all still working.
OH no, my friend got hit by a car while walking accross the street!!! danger danger im going to go live in a bubble.....

Yawn to all other fanboy (pc, ps3, box rants) this is getting old.

OP said:
Considering your already not enjoying the games library, and seem to prefer the 360's there is very little reason not to. You could keep it, hope some of the games coming out change your mind, or you could get it over with and have the fun you were after to begin with. You may feel like your wasting money doing so, but ultimately if your not enjoying what you have purchased, then you already have wasted your money haven't you?

Yea, I went to a used game shop today and they offered me 100 pounds trade value for a ps3 with 2 months left on its warranty. I just put it up on ebay where I think they sell for between 170 and 200 for the 40 gb used. Hopefully I'll get a decent sell. Thanks for the help. And for the record, yes, those games i mentioned earlier really do suck. You can read my reviews of them if you would care to be informed why. http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.81809#1100235 - MGS2

I can't find my GOW review, but here's LBP: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.76897#926614

I am also unaware why this thread was made, having a PC/360/PS3 I honestly can't see why you'd want to get rid of one for the other unless it's simply because of that 'difference' in games I to date haven't been able to find :S

I have had 2 Xbox 360's, one Red Ringed(And set on fire, but that was my fault. Public Information - THE TOWEL TRICK DOSEN'T WORK.) But my Elite has been fine for a year and a bit now. Smashing.
