Iced Earth. They have the best singer in metal, ever.
To which singer are you referring? Because they've had several over the years.

Matt Barlow. Ripper was good too, but I'm just a bigger fan of Barlow. Their very first singer was terrible, and I'm glad he made an ass out of himself so that Jon Schaffer kicked him out and got Matt Barlow, who is his brother in law, to sing for them.

The Huckleberries, a local band, they play instrumental country music. Got two of their CD's. Jigweed is better.

Dreamteather? I love them to pieces but i'm not sure people know much about them.
DreamTheater is amazing. Their greatest hits CD makes me giggle like a schoolgirl though. Greatest hits (and 21 other awesome songs), or something like that. Good band.

Husker Du was an amazing band from back in the day. I didn't get to hear them till after they broke up, but they are still fantastic.
Its actually greatest HIT, they are making fun of themselves since Pull me Under is the only song that got radio and tv play. And yes they are amazing, so amazing that I tatted their logo on my arm, no one can ever question my loyalty to DT!!!!

[HEADING=1]PROPAGANDHI[/HEADING]NORTH AMERICA'S GREATEST BAND EVER
:ahem: Sorry, I get hyperbolic whenever I get to bring these guys up.

Go here [http://propagandhi.com/discography/] and start by downloading Supporting Caste, offered free from the band's website (because they are awesome like that). The other five MP3s on that page are awesome as well, but I highly recommend the song Potemkin City Limits (from the album Supporting Caste, not the album Potemkin City Limits).

BTW, they're a punk band, but unlike any you've ever heard before. Imagine Rush trying to reboot themselves as a Metallica cover band that only played the album Ride The Lightening, if Rush were a political punk-rock band, and you'll have a small idea of how awesome these guys are.

Once again, Rolo Tomassi. They're going to explode into the mainstream this year, just wait and see.
Ignore the video, just listen to the music.

Alestorm; they're a Scottish pirate metal band, tonnes of fun to listen to. They've recently become much more popular but to anyone that doesn't know them you should definitely give them a listen.
