My best friend, a flat earther who thinks Kanye West is misunderstood, loves to call people out for listening to what they've been taught via the institutions of traditional education without intellectual criticism while simultaneously listening to what he's "taught" via various social media outlets and YouTube without intellectual criticism. I don't care what he thinks or believes; I just wish for one second that he could appreciate the irony that he's only regurgitating what he's "learned" via various social media outlets and YouTube. Thank God he's not a billionaire because he'd be dangerous.

We have a tacit understanding that I won't listen to him any more than he'll listen to me (or reason,) so I don't need to call his rationale anything to any appreciable effect, though "bot behavior" is quite apropos. We stick to movies, video games and sports; pretty much all else is argument territory. I'm one call away to CPS from getting his daughter (my goddaughter) into my custody if only for her sanity (thank God her mother isn't an idiot.) She's autistic, by the way, and my friend is convinced it was vaccines that caused it because of course it was; couldn't possibly be anything else... Christ, I love the guy, but... Christ.
