i just recently finished mass effect 2 and i wanted to know how other peoples decision affected their game. in the end i kept the base and i lost kasumi and zaheed, really sad about zaheed
, and i also lost doctor chakwas and the crew.
w8 kasumi didnt die when u sent her to infiltrate? she got hit in the head with a rocket in mine!Frankster said:Imitating Canadish for this one.
Kept the genophage data "just in case"
Counter brainwashed the geth aswell, was a hard decision but mass brainwashing seems less bad then total extermination, can't exactly be proud of myself for either though.
Every time I replayed the game, took a different stance with the Quarians, so not sure which was my "cannon" decision but I remember the first time I played I was neutral and tried to keep me nose out of such a big decision that wasn't really mine to make as a human.
Saved Jacob's father and arrested him, all by the book.
Blew up the base, part of the Reapers advantage is that the various civs followed a tech path the reapers set, I'm not convinced the risks was worth the payoff.
Mission Casualties: 0.00% My team were well prepared by the time the reapers took my crew, all team mates performed their job admirably with Garrus as 2nd team leader, Kasumi infiltrating, Mordin escorting the crew back to the ship. Oh and Samara as main biotic.
Only thing of note is that my Shepard doesn't have a romance:
-Ashley died in me1 (kaiden was with the bomb and for the sake of the mission needed to go back for him)
-I don't like Asari that much. I left lliara as last team mate to acquire in me1 (in case you didn't know, she goes insane from being trapped so long+rages at you for having all the answers to questions she spent a lifetime trying to figure out) and never used her, she wasn't part of my team as far as I was concerned. In me2 I outright ignored her once she gave me the info I needed to track down 2 other companions
-I hate Miranda with a passion and felt the game had limited opportunities for me to rp that hatred.
What made me despise her even more is she is all but unkillable in me2 regardless of loyalty and upgrades, and only way of killing her are lame ones compared to the violent deaths others can suffer (she will NEVER be taken by the seeker swarms for example+in my 2nd playthrough I'd thought I'd let her justify herself after she had the arrogance to suggest she could samara's job in holding a biotic field. Which she promptly failed and had to see poor Tali dieing a horrible death due to her incompetence. Oh I hated Miranda even more after that)
-Tali was my little sis, but there was nothing romantic going on between us I felt. Would have felt awkward.
-The only character I might have been interested in...is SamaraDespite my documented dislike of the Asarai, I adored Samara. She impressed me by her lack of xenophobia or arrogance, her knowledge of humans and her ethical code which though I didn't completely agree with, respected.
That she declines your romantic advances made me like her even more, she became a staple of my team from then on and my 3rd in command after Garrus.
Aye she didn't, but had max upgrades and loyalty for her, so the % of her dieing was miniscule.Frankster said:w8 kasumi didnt die when u sent her to infiltrate? she got hit in the head with a rocket in mine!
theres luck involved? i didnt now thatFrankster said:Aye she didn't, but had max upgrades and loyalty for her, so the % of her dieing was miniscule.Frankster said:w8 kasumi didnt die when u sent her to infiltrate? she got hit in the head with a rocket in mine!
I fear you might have just gotten unlucky in your game :\
I'm guessing you did the same mistake as me and had Zaeed lead the second team correct?chaos order said:i still couldnt get why kasumi died though the job i set her as was to sneak into the place though the ducts, thats pretty much her job!
Also, if you picked the wrong Fire team leader (unskilled or disloyal) then that would be another reason.Frankster said:Aye she didn't, but had max upgrades and loyalty for her, so the % of her dieing was miniscule.Frankster said:w8 kasumi didnt die when u sent her to infiltrate? she got hit in the head with a rocket in mine!

my fire team leader was zaeed for both times. i can assure u he was loyal and definitely skilled. although he did die the second time around. made me sadCanadish said:Also, if you picked the wrong Fire team leader (unskilled or disloyal) then that would be another reason.Frankster said:Aye she didn't, but had max upgrades and loyalty for her, so the % of her dieing was miniscule.Frankster said:w8 kasumi didnt die when u sent her to infiltrate? she got hit in the head with a rocket in mine!

That was your mistake only Garrus, Jacob, and Miranda can lead the 2nd fireteam succesfully.chaos order said:my fire team leader was zaeed for both times. i can assure u he was loyal and definitely skilled. although he did die the second time around. made me sadCanadish said:Also, if you picked the wrong Fire team leader (unskilled or disloyal) then that would be another reason.Frankster said:Aye she didn't, but had max upgrades and loyalty for her, so the % of her dieing was miniscule.Frankster said:w8 kasumi didnt die when u sent her to infiltrate? she got hit in the head with a rocket in mine!

For several parts of the final mission there is a % of the team mate failing which you can increase by having them fully loyal and by having their upgrades.chaos order said:theres luck involved? i didnt now thatFrankster said:Aye she didn't, but had max upgrades and loyalty for her, so the % of her dieing was miniscule.Frankster said:w8 kasumi didnt die when u sent her to infiltrate? she got hit in the head with a rocket in mine!
