Did you see it turning out any other way? At least Mr. Atkinson's response is particularly appropriate here.

Me, I keep it shorter, only when I'm expecting action. It has all sorts of advantages which I believe have been covered adequately by now. Shaving is a bad idea though. Gets really scratchy and uncomfortable.

I shaved once before. The only advantage I noticed was that it makes you appear "larger", that I frankly didn't care enough about that to offset the fact that it felt like someone lit my crouch on fire.

I wasn't sure exactly what I'd get out of this thread. I know these threads often get strange, but this was the first time I've genuinely been curious about the experience. And then I get posts about women's pubes smelling like piss before sex....

I'd been lucky enough to miss that one, reading through. Thank you Sir, for drawing it to my attention.>_>

I find remaining shaved makes sex feel better. I am a very tactile person and a lot of hair is just blocking skin-on-skin contact. So yeah, shaving is awesome.

Important note:
I would never use a regular razor down there, but I have an electric one just blunt enough not to cut skin. I highly suggest that so you don't accidentally hurt yourself and it will be less itchy when it comes back. And if it still irritates you there are special creams just for this. One is even called 'bikini zone'.

I tried it out of curiosity once. Only once. Years ago, I saw an advert for some American sitcom where the feeling was described as being like "sliding down a sandpaper banister." This description turned out to be quite accurate. Man, did it itch. Hurt for days and got worse as the hair grew back and started making everything prickle. These days I trim with scissors once in a blue moon because my skivvies start pulling it when it gets too long. I always end up snipping myself too.

I trim. It never gets out of hand but stays at the same respectable length pretty much all the time.

It makes it more sweaty down there, but it's much more comfortable to keep it trimmed (not shaven!) I think. Plus if mine gets too long it sometimes gets caught in my foreskin and that isn't pleasant.

Never ever shave it all the way down. Ever.

I use a razor in the shower, no shaving cream. I haven't cut myself really either. It is simple to not cut oneself, just don't press down and let the razor do the work. Keeps it pretty smooth and I think sexy looking. A little care goes a long way down there.

I've been suspended for posting exactly this topic...

But anyway, I completely shave. I can't stand the feeling of hair there. It took allot of coaxing for me to put a razor down there but it was a good decision

I trim - because things can get a bit rough and uncomfortable if left to it's own devices - but I don't shave. Thats also how I like my wife to look. I prefer hair to hairless; just have it neat and tidy.

You have a girlfriend? Shave. Least from what I have seen.
But my girlfriend prefers it with hair... Likewise I prefer her with hair. Some trimming is important, but otherwise whatever its just hair.

I have a razor allocated specifically to the task. In the shower, hot water only, 4 bladed razor.

Then again I shave my face the exact same way, no foam. I've never cut myself.

The first time there were a few in grown hairs but once you've done it enough the skin adapts and it becomes a lot easier.

My girlfriend ritually shaves herself clean every second day.

But above the legs. You know, your crotch.
Personally never done it, but I was wondering (possibly a lapse of judgement on my part) how many people do it. What does it feel like exactly? Is it less scratchy for one thing? I'm rather apprehensive because I'd like to not slit my balls open by accident.
Female. I keep that area shaved because I think it looks better and it feels better when I'm having sex (pubic hair chafes).

I also request that any sexual partner I have does the same. Most - male and female - find they like being shaved better too once they try it.

And guys - it has two benefits for you.
1) It makes your penis look bigger.
2) It makes people more willing to go down on you. No one likes getting pubes stuck in their teeth (or on the roof of your mouth - ick! ) so keeping the area well shaved means that there is no risk of that, which means that your partner is more likely to want to have their mouth there.

The pubes thing is actually one of the two reasons I make that request of my sexual partners. Chafing, of course, being the other.

Oh, and I occasionally use Nair on my legs, but I've been too chicken to use it on my pubic area. In case that is another question you wonder about.

I've had laser hair removal over a year ago and I'd definitely recommend it.

It's pricey but compared to the amount of effort and pain that goes into temporary forms of hair removal, it's well worth the investment. I have not picked up a razor in over a year and my underarms are completely hairless and my crotch just has an invisible layer of soft fine hairs.

Before that I tried shaving and waxing. Shaving was terrible for me because my skin gets irritated easily, especially by regrowth. Waxing was the most excruciating thing ever. Laser in comparison is a different pain (a brief sting that goes away instantly if done correctly). I'm honestly the laziest person ever, so laser was the best choice. I look perfectly kept without doing anything.
