when dog meat was killed I just went and killed the fuck out of everything with a face. Adams air force base? they ate explosions for dinner. I also go crazy when my team was systematically killed off by the trandotios. I showed them no mercy. I get mad when someone I am supposed to care for dies, then I grab a gun and go apeshit on everything in sight.

Lars from Brutal Legend. I actually liked the golden-haired galoot, pathological sermonizing and all. Missed his double-team in later Stage Battles

I get pretty emotionally invested in the games I play (as well as the books I read and TV shows I watch; movies not so much, as they are short and sweet), so there's a few games that have ended up affecting me that way.

<spoiler=Brothers In Arms: Road To Hill 30 and Hell's Highway>When I find Allan and Garnet dead at the feet of Leggett at the end of that mission, I nearly flipped my shit. The next mission, I absolutely rampaged through those Nazis.

Of course, the Brothers In Arms games always screw with my emotions. I've yet to play a game that gets me to invest so much in the characters. And they end Hell's Highway with Red being paralyzed? You can bet that I'm going to go absolutely ape-shit on the Nazis when I play the next one.

<spoiler=inFamous>Already mentioned, but when Trish died, I was really sad. I wanted Cole to have a happy ending, even though I knew it was inevitable that he wouldn't.

<spoiler=Shadow of the Colossus>Poor Aggro. I loved that horse. It had so much character for a being that can't hold a conversation. Aggro was your only friend in that game. I was so happy when she walked into the temple when the woman woke up.

<spoiler=Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2>I was pissed when they killed Ghost. Best character besides Soap in that entire game, and they just kill him. Damn, Infinity Ward. Just... damn.

There's a lot more, but there's a handful of the ones that popped into my head.

When Ares tricked me into killing my wife and daughter. I've killed damn near everything I have gotten my hands on since then.

Nope. They all just seem to have no emotional effect on me. Maybe I'm just playing the wrong games; or maybe I'm just a freak.

Mother 3 when Hinawa dies..just for that everything Dies.. but other then that no.
I agree, that was just terrible. The fact that the Drago that killer her pretty much had no sense of self when it did kill her, made it worse. But if she hadn't, then Lucas and Claus would have died. And her speaking to Claus in the end... I had tears welling up in my eyes.

dont read if you STILL havent played Cod4 because theres kindof a spoiler
I know you kind of have to beacuse of the story , but killing those last three poeple after they killed gaz in cod4.
Gaz was my FAVORITE character and I think CoD4 was the only game that I got so absorbed into it that I actually breathed harder and flinched when I got shot and covered my face whenever there was an explosion or somthing
and dear god, I have never become so conected to a charater, ESPECIALY an Npc.
most npc are like"we make metal thing go 'blam'and make bad people fall down" which they never actually did.
they only kinda just shoot in the direction of the characters which makes the game harder for me because that only make the enemies hide or circle around and kill me.
but Gaz kicked down a door a shot the left half of the room while I shot the right half, and that was the closest thing that I got to co-op on an otherwise perfect game.
My brother actually had to turn up the surround sound on the movie he was watching when I screamed "NOOOOOOOOOOO!" as I shot the last three guys who killed Gaz on my muted game.
Fixed the spoiler for you, althought I dont think its nessisary.
I felt the same way about both Gaz, Price, and Grigs.

Oh and if you havnt played modern warfare 2 yet dont click this
I do believe that Gaz survived and is actualy Ghost, It makes sense since he wears the skull mask all of the time, porbably to cover up facial scars from being shot. Plus he sounds exactly like Gaz as well.

I was pretty bummed out when Nariko finally dropped dead in Heavenly Sword. Sure I knew it was coming but damn that was a sad scene, with her pleading the Gods for just one more chance to get her revenge...

Actually that whole game was very under-rated. I may even play through it again once I've finished my current crop.

Tales of Symphonia.

Sure, Colette doesn't actually die. She just loses her soul.

That was more than enough to get me to slaughter Remiel and Kratos in a blind rage, and do some comparatively serious damage to Yggdrasil.

Also, not a woman, but in Devil May Cry, I took extra special satisfaction in killing everything that moved (Mundus especially) after finding out just who Nelo Angelo was.

And in a bit of a reversal, I took extra special care during Oichi's last mission in her Samurai Warriors 2 campaign to not go to the aid of any of my allies. If I have kill my lover, I'll at least make sure he takes down everyone I wanted to kill, first.
Do not read if you haven't done the 'Kratos path'.
at least when you kill Zelos he stays dead. And you can then continue to feel bad about it.

Really? When Colette seemingly *cough* I was going "OH THANK LORD no more 'I'm sorrys'" ...But then I am a girl...and woman that obvious is going to piss me off period. Especially since Lloyd is probably the most oblivious if nicest (not real) dude on the planet ever.

In Fallout 3, just after I got Dogmeat, he got killed by a couple of super mutants, and I immediately reloaded (to a save quite a way's back, mind you) and left him in my house in Megaton so he would always be safe. Weird I know.

also:

When I killed Andrew Ryan in Bioshock and found out about the whole Atlas-Fontaine/'Would you kindly" thing, I was pretty pissed off. I was particularly nasty to the splicers after that.

I cried at the end of Half-Life 2 Episode 2. Whoever has played it will know which part I'm talking about. But yeah, then it just ended; credits rolling, and no chance for me to vent my emotions in-game.

Yeah its happened to me a few times. Fallout 3, Baldurs gate 2, essentially whenever a well develloped and likable character is killed I go on a rampage of vengeance against his or her killers.

When Eli died I went ball-out apeshit, to be perfectly blunt

[
When Karst and Agatio get killed, I rampaged through the Mars Lighthouse and MADE THAT DRAGON MY *****

Can't really remember too many others, I usually felt bad when a favourite General died in Medieval 2.

EDI: One time Minsc got pertified and exploded by a Liche in BG2, I nearly smashed my comp
