Yamada walked off as well, dwelling on the day and the encounter with Mori before he headed to his room to investigate the AMP and catch upon his studies.

Thursday winds down to a close... As you each lie down to sleep, it feels somehow awkward to think that you'll not be back to the tunnels until Monday night--a solid four days away. Yet, you feel no apprehension, nor the usual tug at the edges of your senses. Perhaps it's because of the organization, the sense of community. Perhaps the new equipment. Or because that thing that came from the Pit was obliterated by Hikaru and Kurado.

Though, just as you drift off, you wonder how it is that the two of them have been in the tunnels for three years, yet that train was still running until just last week...?

------

Code:
[b]MONDAY: AUGUST 29th, 2016[/b]

The next school days and the Sunday you spend off of class pass smoothly--with the exception of Yamada's experience. Yukimura spends Saturday and Sunday afternoons in the animal shelter sans Hikaru, whose texts seemed to insist she had important Student Council work to do.

Her excursions with Mori, by the way, were wonderful.

Monday is only hours away... And you can feel the pull again. It gives you a restless sleep, filled with abstract visions of yourself, in another life--in your Persona's life, was it?

Six o'clock comes much too soon...

Shiori:

You've barely been in the Akaito High girls' dormitories for more than twelve hours and already the place is weirding you out. You had a dream last night, much more vivid than anything you've ever experienced before... Something about a little old man, on a train? Being in the subway...

And that beast.

It even makes you hesitate before you turn on the bathroom light, as though it might burst out of the plumbing or something. What was it Dad had said about not eating raw fish before bed? Oh well... Regardless, if you don't start getting ready for class soon you'll never make it in time to get your map and schedule before the first bell rings.

Satoshi:

It's just another day of class, for you. Another day of blending into the scenery. Though, you find yourself oddly looking forward to working the library shift after classes. It's been getting a lot more interesting ever since the Student Council Secretary started coming in to sneak a phone call or two. She always hunched in the corner by the window, peering through the blinds, when she did.

You sometimes secretly pretend she's an android engineered by President Mori.

And that she has laser vision. Pyuu!

...Oh shit, it's almost seven o'clock!

"Well shit..." Kumiko awakened groggily. Her sleep had been so good up until today, though she didn't really mind seeing Baldr appear to her outside of battle. But, as good as it was to see him, she could have gone without the tossing and turning.

She got up and showered to wake herself up. 'Soooo tired.' and without real reason. Kumiko made herself up and headed out for school. 'I should be awake before we go exploring again.'

---

It seemed like his illness lasted forever. But even though he did not sleep as much as usual, he felt better. The beautiful woman who looked like the embodiment of nature came to him in his dreams again. Every time he saw her he felt a little better.

Akinari sent a message out to his parents letting them know that he had gotten over his little sick episode and was himself again.

It was time to start running again. He knocked at Eber's door.

Eber called distractedly through the door for Aki to come in; he was just finishing tying his shoes while also attempting to read the entire biology textbook and chew his granola bar, all simultaneously. It was his first day back to class after a week and a half of suspension, and he'd not even though to try to catch up until twelve minutes ago.

"Ah, Aki-kun," he said when he finally finished chewing, "You are prepared already?"

Akinari watched Eber juggle three tasks at once. He showed all the symptoms of a student who had not been studying. 'Didn't he study enough? He's got that group he's in...'

"You've been slacking in your studies. You know if you miss a day you have to work twice as hard to make up for it." Why did that sound terribly familiar. He shook his head at himself. "Yeah, let's go!"

Satoshi, startled yanked himself out of bed, showered, dressed, and grabbed a pre-made meal in no time flat, running for for his class with his head down, not wanting to be late again. His mind had been so jumbled lately, erratic. He needed to calm down. He'd just gotten a new set of books in the mail the day before so he was sure that he'd be able to, once he just got to class.

He weaved in and out of the students trying his best not to run into anyone or anything.

----------------

Yamada was not particularly happy when he woke. The dreams had been eating at him and he still didn't understand them. There was just too much in his head and any examination of the AMP had proven fruitless.

He packed his things after preparing for the day and made it out of his room somehow excited for tonight. He needed to get into those tunnels tonight and was eager to try out the small piece of equipment.

Isoroku woke up easily, but he was left laying there staring up at the ceiling for a few minutes. He'd slept...he was sure of it...but it was like he had just come back to his bed after spending the evening elsewhere. He wasn't even terribly tired. Yet. That would probably settle in later.

It didn't take long for him to prepare for the day, showering and getting dressed before he made his way out of the dorms. Each step that took him closer to the school, however, dragged at his heels like he was trudging deeper into a pool filled with flan. He wanted to be off in his dreams again, coursing through the seas through Leviathan's eyes. Not slouching in a desk just to keep up appearances. Tonight would hopefully lift his spirits a bit.

"No lectures--If I hear another lecture, I think I may die!" He clapped his friend on the shoulder, smiling, "Come. I will race you."

He was extremely pleased to see that Akinari had managed to recover from his "mysterious" illness. While the boy never actually told Eber it'd been his own cooking that caused such a violent sickness, he'd heard enough about it from Edogawa.

Particularly in the form of a bizarre voicemail that sounded like, "OOOoooOOOHH, the aura of a man's spite is harmful to the intestines, ooooOOOOHH! Also: I think you used plaster instead of flour!"

It had not been his favorite call.

He kept pace with Akinari, letting him set the speed for today.

Shiori splashed some water on her face, trying to convince herself she was awake now. That dream. That dream was nothing like anything she had experienced before. Sure she had nightmares before, but not since she was a kid, and nothing that seemed as real as that one was. It was if she could feel the monster's breath, the rocking of the train, the key that she was given. And yet, there was not a trace of any of it now. She looked up into the mirror.

"Uggh, well off to a flying start here," she said to herself. "That's exactly what I wanted to begin my Monday with."

She didn't even really want to be at Akaito. She wanted to be back in Sapporo with all her friends; Ayumi, Sakura, Momo, the girls on the team. Already she missed them. Or if she had to move, at least to America with her father. California could be a kind place for someone with looks and talent. But no, all she got was "you need to stay in your homeland, Shiori," or "education is the most important, Shiori." What did he know? He made all the money for the family playing a game, and now he was just selling real estate to gullible Malibu types. Mom didn't even argue the move, she just did whatever Dad said. And Shigeki? He was barely playing for the Giants as is. He could have survived living on his own for one year. There was no need for her life to completely jerked around like that.

She looked back over at the clock and silently cursed herself. 'Damn, I still got to go get my schedule. Who did they say I had to get that from? The secretary?' She quickly grabbed her school uniform, another thing she disliked about her new school. How was she supposed to stand out now? She felt like just another of the crowd now. At least she could slide on her lucky bracelet. The deep gold bangle always made her feel better, partially because she could see herself in it, and partially because gold was always her favorite color. It meant victory, and it always pumped her up no matter what was going on.

She quickly went over her hair, making sure it looked good, and dashed off towards the Student Council office, hoping to pick up her schedule there.

"Okay, okay. You get off the hook this time." Akinari started his morning run at a leisure pace, hastening up for each lap they made. And today he didn't trip or need to stop to catch his breath, a new record! He felt so proud of himself, grinning happily.

It took Shiori a couple of trips around the building but she eventually found the Student Council office. 'Well at least I don't have to do my run for this morning. This place is like a maze!' She gingerly made her way inside, hoping someone was already here so she could just grab her schedule and be on her way. "Hello? Anyone here?"

Hikaru hefted her book bag higher onto her shoulder with some difficulty. She'd filled it with items for the others when she met with them after cram school... Not exactly things she wanted to keep anywhere but a place with a lock. As she rounded the corner, she saw a girl she didn't recognize standing in front of the Student Council room...

Oh! The transfer student... She'd completely forgotten about it.

"Excuse me?" She dropped the bag onto the floor with a grunt of effort, "Are you Hasegawa Shiori-san? I'm so sorry no one was here earlier. Do you need your homeroom assignment?"

"Yeah, that's me, and yeah, that's exactly what I'm looking for," Shiori answered the girl who appeared to be her age. "And I'd like a map if you've got it. Took me forever to find this room. This is a pretty big school."

It was true. Sapporo-Kita High School had nowhere near the facilities that Akaito had, even without the dorms. It was sure to help Shiori's basketball prospects, but the massive complex wasn't doing anything for her navigation skills.

"Oh, it's simple once you get used to it." Hikaru pored through the filing cabinets for the new student's schedule, "The first years and the faculty offices are on the first floor, the second years on the second, and so on. The gymnasium is a separate building parallel to the soccer field."

Finally she held out a copy of the school map and the transfer student's homeroom assignment.

"You're in 3-A with me! Wow, I didn't realize you were a third year... Come on, I'll show you where it is."

Hikaru picked up her bookbag again and brought both it and Shiori down the hall to 3-A.

Eber couldn't help himself, really. When they rounded the very last corner, coming up on the school courtyard, he "accidentally" caught Akinari's ankle with his foot and tripped him. He laughed and shook his head in mock disappointment.

"Still not as quick on your feet, Aki-kun. We will have to keep practicing, ja?"

He waved and headed indoors for a quick shower and to change into his school uniform.

"Wow, thanks," Shiori said as she followed behind, very appreciative for the help. 'That was lucky. Least I won't be late now.' She glanced down at her schedule as she walked. 'Wow, this thing is loaded up. Least the English classes are at the end of the day. I can sleepwalk through those thanks to Dad.'

She looked back up to the girl. "Sorry for asking but I never did get your name."

Akinari stumbled and came just short of falling on his face. His hands and knees saved him from that, and he escaped with just a scrape. "Owe. What was that for?" He stood and dusted off his knees and wiped his hands on his shirt. He made a mental note to watch out for Eber's tricks in the future.

He went back to his room to shower, change, and pick up their lunch before rushing out for the classroom.

She laughed, shaking her head, "What's to be sorry for?" The Student Council Secretary slid open the door to homeroom 3-A, gesturing for her to go on inside, "I'm Seiya Hikaru--anything you need, just ask me. Okay?"

"Okay, thanks Seiya-san," Shiori answered. "I will." She walked into the classroom, and grabbed an open seat. She was feeling a bit recharged now, finally getting settled in to a relatively familiar setting, and meeting up with someone who was being so helpful. The nightmare was pushed far away from her mind as she tried to get set to get through the school day.

Takuya arrived at campus as usual- looking like he wanted to kill someone. And spending the night as Styx really did no help ease that mood. At least this time he kept his persona tucked within him. But her garbled annoying ramblings of discontent were going to drive him crazy. But he would learn to cope. He knew Seiya was already working, over the weekend she had mentioned a new student arriving, and it was her duty to tend to such matters.

Takuya himself would have to look up the new transfer and see if they were worth ant notice.

As he opened the door to homeroom 3-A, his eye twitched. He would not have to look for the new transfer long. He walked up to his desk and stood, "You're in my seat. Kindly get out and find another."

Kojiro walked to school, with an oddly upbeat. He loved being Quetzalcoatl. Something about the feathered snake was really appealing. Perhaps it was the fact he didn't have to take shit form anyone. Or that he could open be the biggest asshole in Aztec society and still be praised for it.

He sighed and looked back to stare at the sky. 'I want to fly away from this shit hole...and these problems, and just release all my anger in one giant storm and never have a care again...' He opened the door to the main building and sighed, 'But that's never gonna happen! so off to class I go...'
