"OK, OK, I'm moving," Shiori said, picking up her books and standing up. There was something in this guy's voice that she didn't like. It almost sounded like he felt he was entitled to this seat. But she didn't see any assigned seating notices or anything.

'Whatever, I'm not going to fight anyone on my first day. He wants it this badly he can have it.'

"Here you go. Sorry about that."

Takuya nodded and took his seat, in his usual manor: his arms crossed, eyes closed and totally blocking out anything any of the students were saying.

He didn't even bother to get the transfer students name, he'll read it later in her file.

Shiori took a different seat near the window. She looked back over at the guy who had gotten her up.

'No one ever came up to me like that back in Sapporo. What is his deal? It's like he thinks he's King Shit or something. And he looks like a vampire in that pose. And red hair really? Wow, I mean, just wow. If I didn't get a Ju-on vibe from him, I'd swear he was just being an arrogant prick. I'm going to have to ask Seiya about him. He's just really erking me right now. I don't know why.'

She turned back towards the front of the class, and buried her head in her arms. Her brain was working overdrive already and class hadn't even started yet.

Satoshi sat in his class, still breathing hard from running here, hardly believing he'd made it early after all. Seeing he had a little bit of time before the lesson started he looked, almost nervously around to be sure no one was watching him before pulling out one of his new issues of comic books. He wasn't sure why he didn't want them to see, but he didn't. He didn't know anyone there. He often found himself wondering about them though. He noticed a lot during class and was prone to letting his mind wander.

For now he just buried his nose in the comic, blocking out anything else that was going on around him at the moment. It was the newest issue of his favorite. He'd read this one four times already, but he was sure he'd missed something in it.

--------------

Yamada sat in class, not sure how he was going too stay still all day, though that wasn't usually a problem. He wanted so badly to get down into those tunnels. Every part of him seemed to hum in anticipation of it. He wondered if there were areas of it that would be safe enough to explore by himself, but immediately dismissed the thought as too reckless.

It'd been a long weekend. It'd seemed like it was just back to normal. Like last week had never happened and they had nothing they had to face, had to battle, but they did. He'd been at the animal shelter almost the entire time and was happy at least for something to do with his hands. He wished that Seiya had come, but understood how busy she was.

Last night he'd been with Fionn again. He didn't remember everything, but he remembered that rush of the hunt. He was uncomfortable with how excited he was becoming for every fight. How he was beginning to rely on that release.

Kumiko looked over. 'Oh good, it's Yamada.' She came over to him, it was getting a lot easier to speak with him given all they had been through. "Hey, Yamada-san. Any interesting dreams last night?" She left it just the way it was, figuring it would be a relatively obvious question.

---

Akinari took his normal seat next to Eber and was going on and on about his dream of seeing the world through the eyes of nature. Or at least that's what it sounded like when he described it. Occasionally he was distracted by the heavy breathing of someone in the room. He would pause, collect his thoughts and continue on. After he was sure he had talked Eber's ear off, he hushed himself.

Eber wasn't particularly interested at first, but the more the other boy spoke the more it reminded himself of his own dream--of gods, of wars waged in the clouds. Fantastic, extraordinary things.

He seemed about to comment when the teacher began the first lesson.

------

Class begins. In homeroom 3-A, Hasegawa the transfer student is introduced to the classroom. Hikaru is the only one to stand and give her the warm welcome she surely deserves. Everyone else seems either preoccupied or judgemental. Such is the student body of an elite institution like Akaito.

Assignments are gathered and given, and the lectures are no more interesting than ever. During the lunch period, gossip is kept to a minimum while students try to get a jump start on their homework for the evening. It's mostly about boys and girls, sports and festivals--no mysterious murders or creepy rumors are mentioned.

Finally, the final bell rings, signaling the end of the school day.

Yamada had told Mizushima the bare minimum about his dreams and was interrupted by the bell ringing. He was a bit more reserved than usual, but tried not to let it show at all. He was so ready to get to their new meeting place and prepare themselves for the train. He approached the same girl before just rushing out the door. "Are you gong straight to the new clubroom as well, Mizushima-san?"

-------------

Satoshi was so engrossed in his book he hardly noticed the bell ringing. He'd been distracted during lunch by the odd pair of the German and his little friend. He'd been interested in their interactions since the day Mori threw that little piggie in the garbage can.

They seemed oddly close. It wasn't really normal, but he couldn't say that they weren't compatible. He wondered what it was they had between them exactly. They seemed like they were almost magnetized to each other. They seemed like there'd be nothing in common between them, but they seemed to enjoy each other.

He shook himself out of it, remembering he had to get to the library. He gathered his things up, very careful with them and started to shuffle out of the room, stumbling a little over his own feet on the way.

Shiori was never so happy to hear the school bell ring. Her first day was just all kinds of bad. Almost everyone in the class just froze her out, it was such a weird feeling. She had been one of the popular kids back home, so getting the silent treatment was a foreign experience, and she hated it.

The classes just compounded it, she was thrown right into the middle of the units, so she was playing catch up. It made note taking very difficult. She tried for a bit but then just gave up. She was still feeling so....wrong. Lunch didn't help. She was at a table by herself, no one even came over. She didn't see Seiya, she must have had a different lunch.

After lunch, she still couldn't concentrate. Her mind was just broken. What could she have done to earn such treatment? Was it that guy's fault? She just couldn't tell at the moment. Thankfully she had English last. Since her dad played for a decade in America, he taught her a fair amount of the language.

When the final bell rung, she just wanted to go back to the dorms and just forget about the day. But first, she wanted to find the only person who offered any kind of reception at all and at least thank her properly. So she scooped up her bags and set out, looking for Hikaru.

Isoroku couldn't help but compare Yamada to a puppy with a new toy as he watched him rush out of the room like that. He half expected him to run around in a circle, chasing his own tail in excitement before darting off; the scene made him laugh.

Though Isoroku himself was likely just as excited. It was time to do something. He went over to Kojiro and Rin and just sort of stood there, head half cocked, and waited for them to gather their things so he could head to the meeting roo-

'Oh...right...'

His mood dropped just a touch, remembering the whole group now had a 'club' to attend. He would've preferred forgoing the paper trail, even if it did provide an alibi.

Kojiro had just finished putting his things in his bag when Isoroku came over, "Hey," He studied the look on his friend's face and smirked. "Still pissed about being under Seiya's watch?" He stood and slung his bag over his shoulder.

"It's only for a short amount of time. Hopefully We have to stick it out until we figure out what we're doing anyway, then we can raise all the hell and demand all the answers you want, ok?" He pat Isoroku on the back.

----

When the day ended, Takuya stood, and grabbed his bag- which still had the bare minimum of supplies in it. What a wonderful day, he felt fully rested, not something most students would say after a day of intensive note taking. But Takuya never took any notes.

In fact he barely paid attention to the teachers today. Instead he had been sitting, thinking about Seiya and her security team. They would have a meeting today...which meant Fridmund would be away from his little best friend.

A dark smile crept across his face and Styx trembled with joy. Oh, he had to find Fujita-kohai today...

Rin packed her things quickly, and moved towards Isoroku and Kojiro. "Perhaps it won't be so bad? After all it might give us a chance to learn more about how the AMP works."

Kumiko nodded to Yamada. She might as well get there, it wasn't like she had anything else to do. But Yamada seemed a little more excited about it than it should be. But she didn't mind, it was nice to see an actual expression on his face. Kumiko walked along with Yamada, though she had to hasten her steps to keep up with his long strides.

Akinari stuffed his books and one bento into his randoseru, carrying the extra one in his arms. He asked if Eber was free this afternoon, for what he was unsure of, but by impulse he asked anyway.

"Ah, sorry, Aki-kun." Eber affectionately ruffled his hair, "I have joined a new club, and it is meeting today! I will likely be out all night. I will see you in the morning, all right?"

He waved, turned in his empty bento to him, and left.

------

Hikaru was on her way down the hall, to 3-G for her meeting with the "security team". She propped the door open behind her and lugged her over-full bookbag onto the table within.

"Ah... Hasegawa-san. Hello again. Did you need help finding the exit?"

'Whew! Thank god I caught up to her!'

"No, no, that's all right Seiya-san," she started as she unconsciously straightened out her hair. "I figured the bright red neon signs would help me with that. I just wanted to thank you for earlier. I mean, it's been a rough move down here and you're the only one who's actually been nice enough to welcome me and everything. It's just, I really appreciate that, you know? Especially considering what a change this is for me."

'God I hope she doesn't think that's weird. That would just be par for the course today.'

"Oh, think nothing of it!" Hikaru waved her hands as though the thought was just silly, "I can imagine what it's like to be on the outside looking in. Umm--not that I'm trying to say that's what you're like, it's just... Well. It takes a little getting used to. But everyone's really friendly. If you need any help, just come see me, all right?"

She paused, taking in the other girl's height with slight awe.

"...I'll bet getting back on the court will really center you."

"I hope so," Shiori admitted. "First practice isn't until Wednesday though, but at least when I get out on the court I can be back in control and everything. Show there's a point to me being here, you know? It's hard when it doesn't seem like I'm getting a chance." She was still playing with her hair. "But yeah, like I said, just wanted to say that. I hope I'm not keeping you from anything."

'If it wasn't for Hikaru, I swear, I'd probably be cursing Mom and Dad the whole night for shoving me here. She's been the only positive person here.'

"N-No! Just, um. The Security Team's going to meet here and I wanted to show them the ropes. You got your keycard when you arrived last night, right? It probably seems like a big inconvenience to you, but things in town lately have been... volatile. I wouldn't leave campus at night if I were you."

"Yeah, I remember hearing the news reports. Crazy stuff,"

She tried to use emerging stories of students' bodies turning up in the Uramichi-cho subways in a last ditch effort to stay in Sapporo. Tried to convince Mom that it wouldn't be safe for someone such as herself to be left basically alone while her and Shigeki were up in Tokyo. But no, Dad chimed in with the last minute phone call, so sure that his little girl could handle it. She was a Hasegawa, she wouldn't be a victim, and she had to concede. She built up so much of a reputation before hand of being tough and competitive, and her dad didn't buy the sudden personality change, so she came South.

"I have my card," she continued, patting her bag. "It's a bit annoying, sure, but hey, gotta get used to these sort of things at some point, right?"

Yamada was happy for the company ad that it was still fairly quiet, comfortable. "Mizushima-san..I've been wondering about something the past few days. What do you think of these AMPs?"

"I think we're pretty lucky to have them now. If they do do what they are said to do. I mean, think about it. Seiya-senpai has been at this for three years. She said that without it her Persona just kinda goes berserk from time to time. If that AMP was the only thing keeping her in check, we should be damn happy to get one. We just have to make sure that it doesn't break right?" and Kumiko hoped it was as simple as that.

---

Akinari nodded his head. Of course Eber was in a club, he had mentioned before how many he was joining. "Okay! I'll see you later then!" He found his hands a bit too full to straighten the hair that had been mussed so instead he just left the room with his friend and let them part ways when the time came.
