Shiori was right. The running this morning did help. It just didn't help enough. She still had trouble trying to keep her eyes open and her hand mobile enough to take notes. And that pop quiz was not welcome at all. She was hoping for a 75, but that might be a pipe dream considering the way she had to answer.

Most unsettling though was the feeling that she got in the middle of class. There was a severe chill, like she had been plunged into an icy vat. It didn't last long, in fact it felt almost as if it was repelled, but it was still sending a shiver down her spine. She looked around, the windows were all open, but the air coming in was still warm. She looked around the class, there weren't any doors open. She almost wanted to blame Mori, but he was still sitting there, asleep as usual. He may be creepy, but she doubted he had any kind of mystic powers of anything like that. Of course, she had her own, so who could say?

As the lunch bell rang, she remembered her mission from earlier, to try and get more info from Hikaru, but she still couldn't think of any questions to ask. She sat in her desk for a moment, to see if she could come up with anything quickly. If not, it might be best to wait another day.

Eber looked down at the surprisingly blase meal and his lips quirked into a frown. "What is wrong with you? I do not understand why you are taking this so personally. You have not spoken to me since you left yesterday until this moment..." Despite its lack of color, it was still free food, and he ate it with his appetite evident. "It is only one meet. Not enough to lose us the prize."

"Mori-sama." Hikaru hovered at the corner of the President's desk, papers in her arms, "You wanted to speak with me...?"

Takuya opens his eyes and smiles. "Ah yes, Seiya-san, I wanted to speak with you about the new arrivals..." His glance went to the side of the room Hasegawa sat on, "Among other things." He stood up.

"Lets go someplace where we can be a lone." He moved past her, making sure not to touch her in anyway. They didn't have their minds set on feeling that burn again at the moment.

Akinari twists his lips in thought. It was more than just the first team meet, though Eber's attitude towards it hurt him. "Isn't the meet important to you? Nevermind. It's not important. I'm just tired, I guess." he shrugged his shoulders and poked at his food. "Maybe I'll feel better when we win."

He'd just have to work a bit harder to make up for the lack of the team's greatest asset. Though, the general feeling of disappointment was still there.

'Damn. I took too long. Now Mori's got her. I don't want to be around him any more than I have to...'

Shiori silently cursed herself for letting Hikaru go off without asking any questions, but reasoned that if she didn't have any questions to ask, it really couldn't be helped. It looked like they were leaving together as well.

'What is the deal with them? I can't tell if they're doing anything or if its just a school thing. Why would Hikaru even like him then? I don't know what his appeal could be....well maybe the rumored millions, but I don't think she's that kind of girl...shoot I'm not being left behind, I'm at least getting out of here first. I don't need to be following that.'

Shiori scooped up her stuff, and made her way out of the classroom, past the two. She turned and gave a quick "Later, you two" before heading out to grab some lunch.

Rin gave a small sigh of relief as the lunch period started. She was happy with the break, and found herself fighting the urge to rest her head again. Trying to distract herself she glanced over at Kojiro. "Um hi Kojiro. How did you manage to sleep last night?"

Eber, even a bit surprisingly, felt a pang of guilt at the other boy's expression. He played off the emotion with a short shrug and focused his eyes on his food. "Have to clean again today?"

Hikaru gave Shiori a small wave with a close-lipped smile, walking with Takuya down the hall to the Student Council clubroom--the base of operations for Hikaru's legitimate and illegitimate extracurriciular activites. Only once the door was shut and he was seated did she speak up.

"I'm listening, Mori-sama."

The boy nodded his head slowly, looking like he couldn't stand another cleaning session. "And I have to do it by myself." Akinari looked to the empty seat where Satoshi was supposed to be sitting. "I think he's out sick again or something and I have to clean until Mori-senpai says it's alright for me to stop." He rubbed the back of his neck wearily just thinking about all that he had to do. "I wish I had your energy..."

Kojiro sighed, but looked over at Rin, "I slept pretty lousy..." he chuckled. "I guess it can't be helped...and I took crappy notes." He turned in his seat to look at Isoroku as well as Rin when he spoke. "How about you two? Did you guys rest well?"

Takuya smiled at Seiya. She was always at beck and call. And the most polite young lady he had ever encountered. It was shame she was not better suited for his life style.

"We...I mean I, want to talk to you about them." He leaned back on a table and smirked at her. "Those other ones I feel so close by....Like Tsukiyomi-kohai...Where ever he is. We don't feel him on campus, the poor little freshman is probably still in his room soiling himself out of fear. How many are there?"

Rin gave a small shake of her head. "I slept but it was kinda restless." Glancing down at here notes she wondered if it wouldn't be to forward of her to offer them to Kojiro. Nervously she glanced back up at him. "Um, Kojiro if your worried you could um take a look a my notes after class if you like." Rin hoped he wouldn't take her offer to be insulting.

Eber nodded, but didn't offer the help like he wished he could. He had "security" meetings to attend, and if Akinari was here cleaning, it would mean he wasn't in the halls waiting to stumble in upon them.

"Good luck."

Isoroku scowled--as usual. "Sure I slept well. Just now, with my head in my books. Are you kidding? If we're trotting out saving the world and shit..." He waved his hand, giving no mind to startled eavesdroppers, "Something's gotta give and it may as well be schoolwork."

"How many... Well. I... Mori-sama, I don't think it's best for you to know. I would hate to... to think that you might have to hold their actions on your conscience." Hikaru made an attempt to appeal to the boy's ego, "That you'd have to concern yourself with them is unacceptable..."

When Rin offered her notes, Kojiro felt releaved. 'Oh thank god I won't have to ask!'

"Thanks, Rin, that would be really helpful...I know I don't have a damn thing down for the first half of class..." He then turned to Isoroku, "I know what you mean about something having to give...But I have to work to keep my grades up. If I start to slip, I get booted from Kendo. If I'm out of Kendo well..." He hesitated with the next part. Rin and Isoroku were his friends, but he still felt as if telling them his full situation may change their view on him. After all, even with everything that's going on- Kojiro's eyes glanced over to Mizushima, she still found it appropriate to judge him. Saving the world or not. He's leave his personal life out of it.

"If I get booted from Kendo, I'll just be really upset. Its pretty much my favorite thing here, aside from you guys." He smiled, "Maybe we should see about doing a study session or something..."

Takuya considered Seiya's words. Was she just trying to deter him from finding the other awakened personas? Why would she do that? If anything having them test them would be an excellent way for her to judge their skill. And an excellent means of entertainment.

However, she was right...If he knew who they were, and they knew who he was they may end up having to work together. Styx sneered and hissed at the idea. Tsukiyomi was already far from acceptable, God knows he didn't want to be weighted down with more trash.

Takuya gave a nod, "We....I see. You're right. I won't concern myself with them..."But just for good measure. He pushed off the desk and moved toward Seiya. He felt Styx pull away, uncomfortable he was getting so close to the source of her pain. He reached out and lightly touched her hand, and instantly alarm bells went off in his head.

"Even a light touch grave it seems..." He wrapped his fingers around hers and gave the sweets smile he could, though it was drowned out by the sound of Styx wailing around the room. "If the others...become too much...or a danger...I would like to help you, Hikaru."

Isoroku stared broodily at the floor for a good long moment before speaking up, "Hey, uh... Koji. Want to come over after Security Club? I've got... weapons to show you."

When he touched her hand, Hikaru felt something pull back, peel away from Mori's skin--so she clasped his hand all the more firmly, hoping to drive it from him. She knew it hurt him. But that thing was hurting him more. "Of course, Mori-sama. I... What with Tsukiyomi-san's absence... It may have been wrong of me to try to find you a team. I won't get in your way anymore."

It was essentially the truth. She wouldn't have to babysit Takuya in the tunnels, even with another low level student; that was because the secion she had brought him to was a dead end.

Rin gave a small smile when Kojiro thanked her and a small internal sigh that he hadn't taken it the wrong way. She was a little surprised with how upset he seemed at the thought of getting kicked out of Kendo. She hadn't realized it meant that much to him. "I wouldn't mind a study group, it would help everybody stay on top of things better." She glanced at Isoroku as he spoke up. She glanced from him to Kojiro to see how he would respond. She wanted to ask what Isoroku meant but he had only invited Kojiro.

Kojiro started to answer Rin, but then stopped when he heard Isoroku he turned to him instead. "W-what? From where?" He looked around to make sure no one else was listening before leaning in to ask more questions. "Tell me you are keeping these things on campus...."

Takuys grit his teeth as Seiya tightened her grip on his hand. He could feel Styx's skin crawling- and not in the usual pleasant way of cold, writhing death...He felt it tingling, heating up. And the longer their skin touched the hotter it became...almost to a standard body temperature.

God it was sickening to feel.

He pulled back his hand from her.

"Thank you....Hikaru," He clenched his hand into a fist and kept it close to his chest. Within, he could feel Styx settling down spreading her icy aura back over their hand. It was relaxing to feel, actually.

"So then...I suppose I will go exploring on my own from now on....Is there...anything you want to tell me before we return to class?"

"Look, pussy, are you coming or not?"

Isoroku eyed him with an expression that said "please do not keep talking. You moron."

Hikaru looked down at the floor, partly respectful and partly because she had never lied very well when it came to Takuya. "There is a new teacher beginning Monday. He'll get into town on the weekend, I thought you might like to see his file."

Kojiro frowned, 'He's always got that stupid tone to his voice...' He nodded in response to his friends demand before turning around in his seat. Yeah, he would definitely never tell Rin or Isoroku about his home life. They would never understand.

"Oh?" Takuya watched her gaze turn down, and his interest peaked. "Well....where is the file, Hikaru? Don't keep me waiting."

"O-Oh...yeah. Thanks." Akinari nodded his head feeling quite awkward. He would be cleaning alone again. Eber would be of great help, but if he wasn't offering, Akinari wouldn't ask. If he could clean the room and the locker room by himself he could surely clean one classroom alone. He spent the rest of his time for lunch in relative silence, making a mental note to give Satoshi an earful for skipping out twice on his share of the work.

"Oh, of course--" Hikaru pried the files free from her financial paperwork and held them out to the President like an offering. "The professor, his name is Bana... He's, um... Well, he's brilliant, but apparently... handicapped..." The sharp ring of the school bell signaling the end of lunch interrupted any further information she could have summed up for the young man, so she shrugged helplessly. "You'll see when you read it. We'd better be getting back to class, Mori-sama."

Takuya took the file from Seiya and looked down at it. He gave her a curt nod and made his way back to class with her in tow. He didn't say anything, or make any outward signs of what he was thinking about.

Once back in his seat, Styx resumed her patrolling of the room, hovering over students and making them miserable without them understanding as to why. And the student council president thumbed through the file, ignoring his teachers banter.

'A handicapped....teacher...? This could be interesting.'
