Takuya watched Styx's force be repelled by the electric force of Fridmund's persona, and if there was any malintent in his being, he didn't show it. In fact, while the crowd cheered and the women swooned. He smiled.

"Impressive indeed," He turned to the German. "Now if only all the freshman on the team were as good as you..." He watched as the kids on the field went wild with glee, and he felt it pull at his lips to create a slight frown. The same way numbness pulled at his arm from where Styx had been shocked back.

"All right that's enough!" He shouted at the boys, back to his usual angry self. "You little boys are quite proud of Fridmund aren't you!? Well, everyone one of you is now being held his standard!" he flicked his fingers down the line, "All of the freshman! All of Juniors! If this boy can beat me one on one then I expect all of you to be able to. The school expects an undefeated season, and that's not carried by one person! If you can't do it, you will be kicked from the team!"

He smirked a bit at the groan and disdain of being expected to do more.

Ignoring the girls entirely Takuya started ordering the boys team into their drills- adding an extra twenty sets under the guise that now everyone was being held to a higher standard- He even did the extra sets himself.

But inside, there was that pull...and that numb shock lingering over his arm and chest.

'One loss today...One loss today...We'll get, Fridmund...And I'll send you strait to hell for today and everyday you set foot in this school!'

Eber wasn't concerned with the moaning and mourning of his teammates--His hand found Shiori's in a high-five encompassing all sorts of victorious vigor on his way to approach Kumiko. Or rather, his date. Oblivious to onlookers, he grinned at the sophomore, bowing in a sweeping gesture, and offering her the crook of his arm.

She could not contain her giggles, locking her arm with his. "You were really something. Glad to see there is someone who can put that bastard in his place. So, Eber, where are you taking me?" Suddenly Kumiko couldn't care less about not getting enough practice in. All she could think about now was where she was going and what she was going to wear to wow the freshman on their date.

"Tomorrow, senpai, I believe we should make a date... For dancing, perhaps add a bit of European flair to the Japanese vigor, ja?" Eber walked his lady friend back to the locker rooms leaving the two teams and associated crowd behind, he parted ways with her there. "Perhaps dinner tonight?" With a quick salute, he disappeared into the boys' lockers to clean off before heading back to the dormitories for a slightly more meticulous grooming.

It would be a pain in the ass to try to hide her glee, so she didn't bother. "Alright. Sounds great to me." Kumiko set off to get herself clean as well. She'd pamper herself the moment she got back into her room. If she didn't come out of her bathroom smelling and feeling heavenly then she wouldn't be getting her money's worth in expensive bath salts.

Kumiko was feeling optimistic. It seemed she'd bagged herself a decent, very charming guy.

Kojiro leads the ever sarcastic and sullen Isoroku to the library to find Rin.

"There she is, at that table." He waves to their studious friend. "Hey, Rin. Hope we didn't keep you waiting long. Let's get started?"

He took a seat next to her and took out his books. God damn, if Isoroku was going to be adjusting his grades, he was going to at least make it look like he earned them. Or at least try to alleviate some of the guilt he was feeling.

Here's Rin, working hard..while he and Isoroku just change their grades... Ugh...it was...making his stomach churn.

Isoroku was not affected by the same guilt that afflicted Kojiro. He looked fairly nonplussed about the whole situation, though he was very careful to at least snatch the seat up next to Rin.

"What're we studying, exactly?"

Rin waved back as she saw them approach. "No I haven't been waiting too long." She waited as they both sat down before turning to Isoroku. "Um well I hadn't really thought about it. We can study whatever anyone feels they need more work in I guess." She toyed with the pencil in her hand for a second before glancing at the both of them and wondering if she'd be prying if she asked how their time went.

Refreshed, Kumiko sat around her room in her bathrobe, deciding on what she should do for the rest of the day. Anything she wanted really. No tunnels meant she could use her free time the way she wanted.

Homework seemed like the smart thing to do. The sounds of the TV kept her company while she caught up on work, keeping her phone near by. Just in case...

---

Akinari had a similar thought. Though he was tired and aching, he didn't feel like moving to the shower to bathe just yet, so he did his school work. It kept his mind from focusing on any one thing (aside from the answers to the problems on his paper) for too long. Even so, he doodled on his work, tapping his pencil against the paper every now and then. The boy sighed and then reclined in his chair.

"Maybe I need a bubble bath or something...yeah...I think that's what I need. A nice, hot bath."

"Um." Isoroku groped for the first subject that came to mind in order to appear helpful and interested, "Biology. We could study biology. I'm really bad with... uh, photosynthesis."

He paused.

"And stuff."

Biology was not the best that he could have chosen. Now instead of just staring off into space, he was staring into anatomy charts. His adolescence took particular note by depositing red across the bridge of his nose.

------

The evening passed quietly, the trio of Team Ishikawa studying, enjoying another dinner out breaking down the food stores with Isoroku's insatiable appetite. Fridmund, preparing for his date with Kumiko, the sophomore, the next day. Hikaru, working diligently outside of campus with her partner Kurado, and her mountains of paperwork.

This unexpected reprieve from the tunnels should be cherished, despite the freedom of the weekend. Who knows how much longer they'll last?

Six o'clock wakes you the next morning for Saturday's half-day of class. New students will arrive today.

It had been a while since Kumiko woke up feeling excited. Her alarm went off just after her phone started flooding with text messages from class-mates and girls from the soccer team. She knew that gossip news spread fast, but landing a date with 'that one hot German freshman' was going around like an epidemic.

Playing it cool she sent a mass text reply :
Code:
Now girls, one date doesn't make him my boyfriend.
There was no containing her girlish glee at the thought. This was a special occasion. And in the land of Kumiko, that meant very special shoes. When she was done dressing herself for school, she spent the rest of her time picking out something to go with those shoes for her date.

"Oh shit!" Kumiko ran out of her room and the entire way to the courtyard having wasted a lot of time.

----

As per usual, the alarm set off earlier than most students would even think about. The chores from the previous day left him a bit sore. Still, Akinari thought if he showed determination and dedication, that just maybe he could convince his friend to do the same for swim team. He was going to run today, no matter how much it burned to do so. He skipped packing a lunch, no need for it on a Saturday. But breakfast on the other hand...

Akinari ate a quick meal and packed up a traditional, light Japanese breakfast for Eber and set out to knock on his door.

"Oi! Eber! Are you awake yet? I have breakfast."

And after only how long were they waiting officially afro? Haha.

It was a calm wake up for Shiori on this Saturday morning. Hard to believe it had only been a week since she came to Akaito. It felt like forever with all the stuff that had been happening. But at least today could be another day for relaxing, after the shortened class of course.

She had decided to take it easy last night, staying in, getting whatever work she could done. Facebook did a lot in preventing more being completed, she tired of the problems her teacher posed, so she decided to search through and add everyone from the security team on there. Just to show there were some friends made already at this school. A couple of her friends from back home were on, so she talked to them for a bit, caught up on who was taking over up North. Good news was it wasn't that stuck up Chie.

This morning she just went through a quick shower, before uniforming up and heading towards the abbreviated classes.

Kojiro rolled out of bed stretching. Happy and content. It had been a good day yesterday! No tunnels! No terrible discoveries! No Mizushima! And plus he got a passing grade on his qui-

"FUCK!" He feel back onto the bed shaking his head. How could he forget? 'Isoroku's a cheater...fuck I'm a cheater! Ugh....' And just like that his good mood was gone. Now he had something new to be nervous about. Well, its not that he wasn't concerned about his grades before, but now the concern was for a new reason. "Maybe I can just tell him to leave me out of his grade changing from now on....yeah...I think I'll just tell him I can't handle the pressure..."

He sighed. Why couldn't Isoroku be a real genius like, Rin? At least them he'd only have to worry about being the 'dumb one'. Well looking at it one way, it was pretty ingenious of Isoroku to hack eh school's computer and be able o change his grade whenever he wanted. "Why can't he put that mind to good use..."

He stood up, no use stressing about it now. He had to get ready for class.

------

Takuya hadn't slept.

Not that that should be a surprise to anyone. He never slept.

His mind kept going over yesterdays events. He kept looking at his hand. Her hand. Their hand. Their arm. Her arm. His arm. His power. Her power. Their power....

"Its not adequate..." He sat up and pulled his legs over the side of the bed. "We need more practice...We need to be down there. We need to fight...We need to be able to destroy...anyone that stands in our way."

Styx herself was silent for once. Be he could feel she agreed. They needed to fight. They needed more power...

And the next time they dueled Fridmund. They were going to rip him apart.

However, for now, it was just another boring school day. He half smirked, wondering how many students he was going to give detention today for thinking they could mock him...

Rin sighed a little as she got out of bed. She knew she shouldn't as she actually got a good nights rest last night, but still leaving the warmth of her bed to go to class just didn't seem fair. She went about getting cleaned up and dressed for classes while thinking over last nights study session. It had gone surprisingly well, and getting a bite to eat after-wards had been fun. 'Perhaps I will ask Kojiro and Isoroku if they'd like to do it again.'

Nodding to herself, Rin gave her reflection in the mirror a final once over before pulling her shoes on and grabbing her bag. If she was lucky class would at least go by quickly today.

@NeoAC: Yeah, that's kind of the problem--There were three new folk that were supposed to be starting today [in-game]. Two have dropped out and the third is waiting for the right dramatic timing or whatever. So, it means I'll be picking up additional NPCs yet again. It made me frustrated and kind of bummed out, so I just ignored the Escapist for a while.

Anyway, let's all buck up now and reinvigorate this *****. Cryptorus is our new character today [in-game], and my antagonist crew will be making an appearance on Monday [in-game].

Eber answered the door, already dressed in his running gear and packing up his uniform in his duffel.

"...Akinari-kun! Good, you appear to be in a fine mood this morning." He shoved his books and essay alongside clothing and shampoo and hefted it up over his shoulder before continuing, "Let me eat in the lobby before we leave, and then we can exercise. Hasegawa-senpai may be out on the track as well."

------

As for Hikaru, she was at the school building very early that morning; she would be spending today out of class in lieu of getting the two new transfers settled into the dormitories. The senior held her bag tucked under one arm while she waited for her charges; she'd gone over the files already, and thought both could use a warm, sincere greeting if they were going to be making this place a home.

Behind her, the new teacher was getting acquainted with the other faculty members who were finishing up last minute paperwork before the final bell. The conversation was stiffly polite, but the man's attitude was warm and congenial. It had surprised her to no end to find the man in a wheelchair. It made her uncomfortable... Hikaru hoped it was something more than a discriminatory instinct that made her heart leap up into her throat at the piteous sight of the man's useless legs--she didn't want to think of herself as such a person...

And yet...

She cast a backwards glance at him, uneasy while she waited.

He repeated Hasegawa quietly a few times, trying to see if he could remember who the name belonged to. Drawing a blank, he said the name again aloud in hopes of a reminder if he was supposed to remember who she was. "Hasegawa-san?" Akinari was sure that he'd not heard the name before. He continued down the stairs with Eber for breakfast.

'Support. Support. Just give him support and he'll see.'
