Kumiko yelped in surprise. That Kojiro kid was really quiet strange. He'd gone from muttering to himself to shouting. An eyebrow out of mild curiosity.
Suddenly, one of the males in front on her desk hand her hands in his. "Well, thank you! That'd be terribly romantic if the whole ghost train thing wasn't so creepy. Besides, I don't think I want to ride another- a train for awhile. But how about just a car?" he winked, leaving the conversation open for discussion.
Kumiko looked to Kojiro once more. "Are you ok, Ishikawa?" the question was more out of fear that this kid would snap one day more than anything else. But it was worth the effort. If Kojiro snapped one day, maybe she'd get to live.

------

It had completely slipped from his head that there was a possibility that Eber would have no idea what he was being offered was. A slightly abashed smile crossed Akinari's face. He recovered in a moment, responding "Oh, these?" he pointed at cinnamoroll's face, "This is a colored rice ball with fish and sauce inside. The face is made of seaweed. It's called onigiri. And this, this is wagashi. Its a sweet rice patty. I put coloring into it to make it look...like...a cherry blossom..." he chuckled nervously, feeling that he'd gone on talking a bit too much.

Kojiro turned to look at Mizushima, his hand still in front of his mouth. He stared at her puzzled for a moment, not because she was asking but because he didn't know what to say. He was certainly okay. However, he was lost in thought. He had meant to go back to his lunch but now he was hearing more about this train.

A conductor? Is he a ghost? ghost don't grant wishes...sounds like a trap, a trick, a ruse! But- but, everyone was talking about, the rumor must have started somewhere. Had someone seen something? It was probably just a Hobo. What's that about what the conductor does? He can't her that girls muttering. UGH! Now he was even more curious, but here was Mizushima distracting him from what was being said. And what, some guy was not asking her to go on the rain with him.

Oh hell no! If this train was real he needed that wish more than they ever did!

"I- I am not alright!" He said slamming his hand on his desk. "Ichirou, you can't go to the train with Mizushima!"

Rin gave a small sigh of relief when she was alone again. She hadn't expected anyone to approach her so directly. Now that he was gone though, the thought of lunch returned to her. She reached into her bag, and pulled out the small bento box she had prepared for today. She sat it own her desk, and gave a small smile before opening it.

As Rin began to eat her meal, she paused briefly over hearing talk of some ghost train. Her thoughts turned briefly to the odd dream she'd had the previous night. "It sounds too similar to my dream. Maybe it was real?" She gave a slight shake of her head moments later for thinking something so silly. Still, maybe she would check it out.

Ichirou is startled. "What?!"

-------

Eber plucks the little onigiri off the napkin, popping it into his mouth with little regard for its decoration. A group of girls in the back giggle amongst themselves. "Something I do recognize then--honestly," he says, chewing, "I am not so much impressed by your nation's cuisine, but... This... is actually quite good." He looks as surprised as he sounds, but eats the offered wagashi as well and twice as quickly. He licks his fingers, ten times as attentive. "Does your mother make these to send?"

Kumiko smiled. 'So he IS shy. Oh, that's just darling!' "Why? Do yooou want to go the train with me, Ishikawa?" she was tickled pink by the situation. 'They're so forward, it's refreshing.' She had to stop to think about the train again, tapping her finger lightly against her chin. "I wonder...does it really grant wishes?" Because if it didn't...she remembered the strange things she saw in her dream and there was nothing pleasant going on in that chain of thought.

----

A huge, goofy smile broke out on Akinari's face. He loved to hear that people enjoyed his cooking. Though, he preferred when it was know that it was indeed his cooking. His cheeks puffed up in a pouting manner as he shook his head. "No. Actually, I made them myself. I like to." he shrugged his shoulders. He cast his eyes to his feet so he didn't have to look at the girls giggling.

Kojiro stood up and shouted at Ichirou, "You heard--What a minute what!N-No! I mean-" He bit his lip and looked at Mizushima, then at Ichirou. he suddenly realized he was stormed his way into a terrible misunderstanding. He could back out, explain himself and just quietly sit back down...but then what if they go?

What if they beat him there and its true. Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!

"It-it's not like that...Mizushima...I mean, uh, you're very lovely...but...uh, I mean..." He couldn't stop stumbling over his words. Crap now everyone was looking his way. Damn it they're all looking at him! Judging him! Say something! "Ichirou you can't wish for someone to love you! You have to earn their love and respect!" Yes that's brilliant, he nodded, "You can't take Mizushima and ask the conductor to force her to like you!" he nodded again pointing at the other student, "Be a man and win her over! Besides! The ghost conductor doesn't grant love wishes anyway!"

He just made that part up, but whatever. Anything to keep them away from the train.

Almost the entire class falls completely silent and stares at you, Ishikawa Kojiro.

--------

One could almost see the light click on in Eber's brain; he'd neglected to bring a lunch today. Which was painfully common. "Why don't you sit down, ah, what did you say your name was? Tanaka, Fujimoto and I were discussing club rush at the end of the week. Do you play any sports?"

Eventually, Isororku snapped the notebook shut, walked back to Rin's desk, and tossed it down in front of her.

"Thanks."

He returned to his seat, but hesitated before sitting down. He glanced toward Kojiro and considered whether he wanted to go over there and tell the kid to shut the hell up while he was trying to think. Everyone seemed to be talking about trains... strange thing. Strange thing, after the dream, which for some reason he still remembered quite well...

He quickly dismissed any importance the dream cold have had, and sat back down. He stared boredly at Kojiro and Mizushima, watching them talk but letting his mind wander, the notes in front of him already forgotten.

Rin jumped slightly as the notebook hit her desk. She looked up only to see Isoroku walking away. She was slightly putt off by his behavior. However before that train of that continued she noticed everyone seemed to be watching some boy who was ranting in the middle of the room. "People in this school seem very odd." She lowered her eyes back to her lunch and resolved to stay away from both Isoroku and the one causing the scene.

All the commotion in the room was bothering and concerning him. He'd tried to not pay any mind to it all, but found he couldn't even read right. He put his book down after rereading the same line four times and turned fully to find out what the issue was.

What was wrong with that Ishikawa anyway? He and Mizushima seemed to be the causes of the disturbance and he was considering saying something about it, trying to calm everyone down, but it wasn't his place and he'd rather not get involved anyway. He saw that Yoshida was at that girl's desk again and it made him suspicious. He began to pay full attention, to figure out what the problem was, since there wasn't much else he could do.

Kumiko have an elated gasp. "Ishikawa!" there was an excitement to her tone. "Well, I'm certainly surprised. How long has all of that been bottled up?" she grinned at him. "You know, I could always just go to the train with you." she mentally shunned Ichirou and became far more aware of Kojiro.

------

"Thanks!" he nodded his head and sat down right away. "It's Fujita, Akinari. It's Aki written bright not for Autumn." useless information again. But sometimes he just couldn't stop himself from talking to people. He perked up again hearing one of his favorite words. "Yeah! I play baseball actually."

Kojiro looked down at Mizushima and kicked himself in the head. He stood paralyzed once again. 'Bottled up? Oh no...not this...not her...anyone but Mizushima!' He shook his head, "You shouldn't go to the train at all. Its dangerous! Didn't you hear about those kids getting hurt!" He looked around at the rest of the students, they were still eying him. He swallowed hard and leaned in to Mizushima. He practically pushed Ichirou out of the way, "Mizushima! promise me you won't go to the train! Promise!"

How he looked looked didn't matter for just this moment. He had to ensure his spot on that train. If it really was magic then by tomorrow this situation wouldn't matter. Nothing would matter! Not what they thought of him and not what he thought of himself!

"Promise me, Mizushima!"

"Okay, okay!" she held up her hands in mock defeat. "You win. I won't go to the train, I promise." though the vow was quickly followed by a very obvious wink. "Sorry, Ichirou, but it seems that Ishikawa forbade me from going. I simply must obey. He's obviously very concerned with my 'safety'." the air about her was one of a woman in full on flirtation. Kumiko leaned closer to Kojiro to whisper. "I'm impressed. Most guys just throw a gift or two my way and just stare from afar. Only a few of them actually have the balls to ask me out. But no one has done it like this before. So when am I supposed to meet up with you?"

'DAMN IT.'

Kojiro continued to stay close to Mizushima. How could this happen! Why did this happen! This woman was crazy! UGH! But there was still an opportunity. He smirked, "How about by the gate..at say...10:30? That will give us plenty of time to get there." He winked back at her and stood up and returned to his seat. He gave a consoling pat on the shoulder to Ichirou before turning his attention back out of the window.

'And while she's waiting at 10:30, I'll be gone by 10.'

Ichirou, like the other boys, looks crestfallen and retreats to his seat in acknowledgment of defeat.

---------

Eber's face broke into a grin, "Baseball! Not my favorite--but of course I play for the school, regardless! If you are joining the team, we will see each other often." He smiles, quite charmingly. "I like that. You will have to be in charge of snacks though... I am a terrible cook."

The German boy speaks enthusiastically to you and the other two students about the upcoming sports events here at the school, and about the coach, who will be new to you as first years. The somewhat one-sided conversation tapers off when the bell signaling the end of the lunch period sounds.

Students shuffle back to their homerooms and into their seats, a bit more energetic since the break for talk and energizing. The remainder of the day passes much like the beginning: generous welcomes to the first years and grinding lessons for the seconds. Just when your brains think they've been given too much to handle, the final bell rings, its sweet, sweet sound releasing all of you to escape the building.

You are free to linger on campus, or return to your respective dormitories.

"Finally!" Kumiko shouted as soon as her feet touched the cement outside of the school. "I couldn't fit another bit of information in my head!" a giddy feeling fill her as she thought of meeting up with the cold, strange, and distant Kojiro. "I need to look my best. What an absolutely perfect excuse to break out my new credit card!" she squealed in delight. Homework could wait until she was back in her dorm with more bags than she could carry.

----

Akinari clapped his hands together once, getting himself pumped. He immediately got to work helping other students keep the school clean. He actually managed to put some of them to shame. In the time it took most people to clean a classroom he managed to clean two. He blazed through the work and headed out of school, meandering towards the dorm. The second day of school was already on his mind and he had made a new friend. Or at least he had run into someone who didn't put a stop to his blabbering. 'Mom will be happy.'

Yamada had been pleased with the lessons and headed steadily out to get ready to go to cram school. He, again, didn't bother anyone as he headed out, not even considering interacting with anyone much of an option, but he does allow himself to walk a bit slower to enjoy the weather. He wished his lessons at the cram school could be more like the ones here, but was looking forward to seeing Seiya there.

Rin gave a small sigh as the day ended. Her first day at this school was so far proving to be very tiring. She carefully packed her bag and proceeded to leave the classroom. She tried to keep to herself as she made her way out of the school. "Might as well go home and get started on the homework." Though she wouldn't admit it as she left the school grounds for her dorm. Thoughts of the ghost train occupied her mind.

Kojiro sighed to himself as everyone began leaving the room. He was sure he caught a few dirty glares from Mizushima's many admirers. But that didn't matter now. He had to get ready for tonight. He needed info, and he need tools. Ghost train or not, sneak out at night was risky, he needed to make sure he could keep himself safe and hidden.

Oh, and he had to call his mother to let her know how the first day went. he mentally sighed again and made his way steadily through the halls to see if he could find out anything more about this train.

Isoruku stalled until the others had gone, making a big show of packing up his things. Repeatedly.

He tried to catch Rin's eye as she was leaving and give her a friendly nod-- he had concluded that he might need her assistance again later.

Finally, the room emptied, and he sighed and walked around to the teacher's desk, moving the mouse to activate the monitor.

He frowned when he found that, inevitably, the teacher had logged out before leaving. Their username was still listed, however, and he quickly committed that to memory.

He tried typing a few letters in the password box to get the rest to auto-complete, but this of course did not work. He also tried a few terribly obvious passwords, such as "Akaito," and the teacher's name.
