Kumiko rummaged through her closet about eight different outfits. If she was going to do this, she was in it to win it. And so, she'd spend the rest of the night picking her outfits carefully. After speeding through her homework of course...

He was never much for superstitions or for believing that dreams could tell you about events that had not yet come to pass. But, with a dream that vivid, a dream that real, he couldn't help but feel a sense of dread wash over him. Akinari exited out of the page.

Needing to push the thought to the back of his head, he started to do prep-work for the feast he was to make tomorrow. "I need to go get more groceries..." he pocketed his wallet and headed out to the nearest store.

Kojiro chuckled at the thought of showing up with someone else on his 'date' with Mizushima. That would certainly get through to her that he was not interested. He shook his head, "Its alright. Actually I plan on standing her up." He stuffed his hands into his pockets, "But unfortunately...you'll probably laugh...I really do want to see if this train is real..."

Isoroku raised an eyebrow. "Oh, come on, it can't be real. Supernatural things like that... that's just a fantasy. I mean, the same is true of all the Shinto business people go on about, but at least most people don't -actually- believe that."

His stomach rumbled, and he nearly doubled over with pain.

"Ugh. Listen, I forgot to pack a lunch... I'm going to go find some food. Feel free to come along."

He turned and began heading for an exit.

Kojiro watched Yoshida turn to leave. He was surprised he offered to let him tag a long but he had to get ready for tonight. Maybe Yoshida could afford to think it was silly, but Kojiro was desperate. He would try anything.

"No thanks," he said, "I've got to do my homework before I leave tonight. We can't all be class stars like you and Yamada." Kojiro waved as he turned to leave. He'd kill to only have to worry about food. Yoshida was so lucky, he probably thought Kojiro was a fool.

Maybe he was? But he'd find out at midnight.

"Homework?"

Isoroku looked back, as though he hadn't considered the idea.

"Fuck."

Turning away again with a newly overcast expression, he pushed out the exit.

"I'll see you tomorrow."

He headed immediately toward the nearest ramen shop, hoping to smother his troubles with carbohydrates.

Isoroku: Because you're so hungry, you wind up ordering far more than you can finish in one sitting. Fortunately this means you'll have leftovers, and little reason to starve in class again. After some time, you return to the dorms with time to spare before curfew. You probably ought to do your homework...

Kumiko, Kojiro: It approaches ten o'clock.

Kumiko was waiting at the front gate around nine-thirty, it was always best to be punctual. She was dressed as if she was going to walk around the fashion district, which was completely unnecessary. But in the case that some one DID manage to see her, she'd at least be fashion friendly. Though she was regretting coming so early. There wasn't much to do to pass the time out there in the open.

Just before ten o'clock, Akinari managed to finish up all of his cooking for tomorrow. This time, he had to use a three layered bento with a case on the side. He gave his cooking station a thorough cleaning before taking a bath and heading to bed, hoping for a good dream.

Kojiro checked his clock. It was a little past nine thirty. He was almost ready to go. He had tossed on his faded blue jeans and a three-quarter sleeve shirt. Something easy to sneak out in. he had emptied out his school bag and loaded it up with a flash light, a snack and his practice sword stuck out the top. He brought the sword in case anything should happen.

If he ran into thugs, he had a weapon. If he ran into ghost, he had a weapon. All was good. And finally he grabbed some of his cash and stuffed it into his wallet. Emergency money in case anything should happen.

"Alright! Time to go!"

He was pretty proud of himself, fully prepared and he'd get to the old station with time to spare. And best of all, tomorrow he was going to see the pissed and shocked Mizushima tomorrow. She's probably never been stood up before in her life. He chuckled all the way to the front gate.

And then just about died when he saw her standing there.

"Mizushima! What are you doing here!?!"

"YOU told me to meet you here, remember?" she shifted her weight to one side, her hands firmly on her hips. "I did get here a bit early...Ok, really early. But I normally arrive to places early, ya know?" she stepped a little closer, giving him a once over. She couldn't remember if she'd ever seen him outside of school before. 'He looks...completely different...' she senses were offended. Her trendy ones anyway. "So, shall we go?"

Rin opened the door to her dorm room, and headed straight for her desk. She set her bag down on it and felt a sense of relief fill her at being back in her own room. She decided to try to get some work done before the day was over. She pulled the chair out at her desk and sat down. Clicking on the lamp settled at the back right corner of the desk, Rin opened her bag, and pulled out her work. "I might as well do some before I go to bed." As she began to look over the work, her thoughts settled briefly on the dream she had, and the rumors of a ghost train. "I wonder if any of its true."

Kojiro sighed, of course she get's places early. Women....alright, alright, alright. I need to find away out of this. He looked her over. Those clothes were ridiculus to wear to sneak out in...

"What in the world Mizushima! You know we're going to an abandoned train station!Should you really be wearing all that? Its not discrete at all. Why don't you go change into something that won't get messed up...I'll wait here." He crossed his arms confident this would work.

"And ruin all my hard work? No way! Besides, who is going to be wandering around a train this late anyway? Let's just go. Or are you nervous about being seen with me?" her arms crossed in childish protest. 'Is he really taking me to the train yard? I thought he was just trying to cover up something a little more exciting.' "Don't chicken out on me now."

Kojiro wished he was dead. This was not happening. This was NOT happening. Ugh, what was it that Yoshida said? Drive her away with conversation?

"Fine, lets get going," He opened the gate and let her through. He took a deep breath and followed out after her. If she was going to put him through this he was going to put her through conversation hell.

"So is this your sort of thing? I mean the sneaking out, danger sorta thing?" she was praying that at some point before they hit their destination they would make a quick turn and end up somewhere else. There were so many things wrong with going to see the train. 1. It was a train. 2. It was the middle of the night and they were out to go look at a dumb train. 3. She just had the strangest dream about a big dumb train, a freak, and some monsters. Doing the math in her head there was a built in fun limit to be had there and it max setting was one.

Kojiro turned to look at Mizushima, she seemed annoyed. He tried not to smile.

"Yeah," he lied. "I want to know what the big deal is. Why'd these kids get hurt anyway...Are you afraid? You were gonna come here with Ichirou and he can't even hold his own in a fight against a butterfly!" Kojiro took out his practice sword and swung it, stopping just before he hit the ground. "If you want you can go back." He turned and gave her a smug look.

"Really? That's pretty cool of you." she chortled, slapping her hand over her mouth before she got out of control. "No, no. I'm not scared in the least. But that's cute that you're worried." Kumiko watched his display of swordsmanship. "We're already out here. Why walk all the way back without going where we are supposed to? Hope you don't have to use that though, because if I was going to mug someone around here, I'd proooobably use a gun. If we run into anythi--one, let's hope they're not pack'n, ey?"

Kojiro imagined stabbing Mizushima with the sword. She LIKES danger...this crazy gal was going to be the death of him. He nodded slowly. "Well if they are, you run, I'll hold them off."

He sighed he could only be so lucky.

"So, Mizushima, why'd you want to come out here with me anyway? You've got plenty of suitors. And we never talk. Ever. What made you think this would be fun? Are you the type that likes to sneak out as well?"

"Hm?" she was surprised he was being so talkative. "I don't think I've ever heard you talk so much." she smiled, genuinely pleased. "Well, I'll say that it's not my first time sneaking out. But actually, I'm just out here because you're not like the guys who chase me. You didn't give me a single gift, you didn't leave notes on my desk or in my locker, you just kinda shouted and told Ichirou to back off. It was...hm...different. Interesting. Why'd you blab like that?"

'Because I didn't want you sneak out to where I'm sneaking out!'

"Because Ichirou's an idiot. Though I'm sure you already knew that..." Kojiro stopped as they approached the station. "The abandoned platform is further down. But we're almost there." he turned to look at her, "And as for the gifts, why get you one? They're only things, the break, they bruise, they fade," he turned back to the station, "Things are not important to me."

He started to walk forward, surely someone as materialistic as Mizushima would be offended by that. Hopefully he would be alone soon.

"They're not always just things, you know..." she stopped, glaring at the back of his head. And truly, she wasn't thinking of a single suitor. "Even if they break or fade away, it was a gift. Someone put thought into getting it. To some people it's more than just showing off or trying to grab attention. It's more about the gesture than the actual gift."

'You jerk.'
