Kojiro smirked to himself, knowing full well she couldn't see him. He had struck a nerve.

"Yes well your 'gifts' are just trash." He stopped and jumped over an old entry railing to an out of use hallway. "Its true, usually the thought counts, but most of your gifts come from petty thoughts. Like Ichirou. He wanted to wish for you to love him. He doesn't care about anything other than himself and how amazing it would be if you were his. If you like gifts from those kinds of people then go ahead and keep them."

He stopped and turned around to face Mizushima. "Maybe you should think about what the thought is behind those gifts. Are they giving them to you out of genuine affection, or becuase you are a prize they are trying to win?"

Even if he was just saying it to bother, it felt good to get his annoyance with her and her suitors off his chest. He really did believe they were all just being self centered little brats playing a game of who's got the best toy.

Every once in a while there would be a rare occasion where a man would see the look of a woman experiencing pure rage. But in these moments, they would probably never know. It did not show on a woman's face the way it did a man's. Her face would look completely blank, the muscles would be lax, no hardening of the features. It could, in fact be seen in the eyes, but who ever looked there? In a moment, she would of course, express her rage in her own way. In Kumiko's case, Kojiro had just transformed from a man into the largest soccer ball she'd ever laid eyes on and if it weren't for the gate between them, she probably would have acted on it. She bit her tongue to keep from saying anything nasty and jumped over to join him.

Kojiro's lips twisted as Mizushima jumped over the railing. Why was she still coming? Guess she was tougher than he thought.

"What's the matter? Nothing to say?" He shrugged, "You're probably not used to this kind of treatment right? Probably used to your dates fawning all over you, hanging on your every word..." He turned to head down the hall to the platform, facing away from her so he could smirk again. "Its like I said in class Mizushima, you're lovely. But 'this' is not like what you are used to. I am not like what you are used to. In fact this whole night is probably a waste of your time." He turned around and smiled at her shrugging, "But hey its not you, its me. I just can't understand that materialistic obsession of yours. You can go. But thanks for walking with me."

Kojiro tossed Mizushima the cockiest, most arrogant grin he could. If this didn't get rid of her nothing would.

"You know, Ishikawa, you're so right." she smiled back at him, though her brow had furrowed. "You're not what I am used to. You are an absolute ASSHOLE." and just then, he became that black and white ball again. Kumiko reeled back her leg and kicked like she was trying to make a goal...in his shin.

She spun around on her heel and stormed the other direction, her hair whipping behind her. "I HOPE IT'S BROKEN, YOU JERK!" the heels of her boots clicked loudly as she stomped all the way back to the dorms. She couldn't get to bed fast enough.

'This is bullshit!'

Kojiro cried out in terrible pain. HOLY COW. That was NOT what he was expecting. OH GOD HIS LEG!

"YOU CRAZY SPOILED BRAT!!" He shouted after as he fell over. "I HOPE YOU MUGGED ON THE WAY HOME! STUPID ARROGANT SELF CENTERED HOOKER!" He rolled over and clutched his knee until the pain stopped. And even then he couldn't even get up for at least an hour afterward.

By the time he was finally able to roll over and get up to walk it was pass midnight. He cursed Mizushima under his breath. He never made it down to tracks. And it was going to be a long painful walk back to the dorms.

'That *****. When I see her tomorrow I'm going to give her hell.'

Kumiko, Kojiro: For each of you, sneaking back onto the secure campus is tricky, but you accomplish it and are able to return to your respective dormitories.

All: Most of you dream--however, the dreams are tumultuous, and lack the lucidity of the dream with the train and the bizarre old man. They keep you from sleeping soundly in the night, regardless of the time you finally went to bed. Six A.M. comes much too early...

Code:
[b]WEDNESDAY: AUGUST 17th, 2016[/b]

At the boys' dorms, Eber wakes earlier than the rest and jogs around the campus to clear his head. These dreams are nothing that a little exercise won't work out.

The new school day still shares the same feeling of expectation that the first day had. Students are gathered in the courtyard with less of a sense of urgency now, and you see many familiar faces when you arrive. Hikaru is speaking animatedly with a group of friends near the door to the main building.

Isoroku woke up with an unpleasant ache in his chest and pain behind his eyes than suggested he had not gotten enough sleep. He saw Eber out his window and glowered down at the other boy, thought his antipathy was not worth any further thought than that.

He headed to the shower, and as he washed he considered things. He had wanted to search the internet for ways to get back into the administrative system, but had found himself stricken with fear that the school might be monitoring his web browsing. He had to look into that before he made any more moves...

After deciding against that route, he had had little choice but to do his homework. Because he had paid very little attention in class, he had had to relearn most of the lesson from his books, and it had taken much longer than it should have. Even so, it was probably only average work.

He packed his books, and some leftover ramen, into his bag before leaving and locking his room, heading toward the classroom buildings. He spotted Hikaru and mentally steeled himself. When he was ready, he approached her, and stood patiently nearby until she was finished talking with her friends, smiling politely.

Hikaru continued the conversation without noticing Isoroku had joined them. She was trying to encourage the girls to help out with the club rush preparations--or at least go out to the shopping district with her on Sunday. One of her friends clears her throat softly and gestures behind the third year with a nod of her head. Hikaru turns around with a look of confusion that dissipates when she sees who it is.

"Yoshida. Good morning! Oh... How may I help you?"

When six A.M. arrived, Kojiro was not pleased. His dreams last night were terrible, his knee still hurt, his body was exhausted. Oh, when he saw Kumiko today he was going to let her have it. He had to resist the urge to take an extra long hot shower, even though the muscles in his leg begged him to do so. But he wanted to get to class early to beat Mizushima to the door. That was much more important.

At the court hard he blazed past Seiya-senpai and Yoshida. His mind was only focused on Mizushima. She likes to get places early, so he had to be earlier!

He raced to the door of the 2-B class room, and after confirming Mizushima wasn't there. He stood out in the hall and waited. He was going to get her.

---

For most, arriving to school on the second day of class is an awkward situation. One is behind in studies and even further behind in current events. However, in this case studies were never a worry, as he was always ahead in class. Even further than the teacher, and current events were not 'current' unless they involved him. So his first appearance in the school court yard was a confident one. Head held high, face void of the excitement others held for their common chatter, and mind set on one thing: How to escape the boredom of the day ahead.

As he walked through the gate, other students who knew him stepped back, and those new students foolish enough not to sense he liked a good foot of distance between himself and others soon found themselves knocked aside. Certainly the air about him was not pleasant and not one that would make most people approach him.

However, this was how Mori Takuya liked it.

"Good morning, Seiya."

In the acting performance of his life, Isoroku put on his best bashful expression and lowered his voice to keep the conversation private. This might be a stretch...

"I just have a somewhat private concern I wanted to talk to you about... I am afraid that my father has taken very ill recently."

Having not seen his father in over a decade, Isoroku was only reasonably sure that this was a lie.

"This is of course of great concern to my family, and I hope you will keep the information private. I worry that if things get worse my grades may begin to suffer, though this is of course of little concern compared to the grief it would cause myself and my family.

"I only wanted to ask you because you are so knowledgeable, Seiya... I have been emailing my family and researching my father's condition from my computer, so I'm concerned that if the school monitors computer activity, the news of my situation could spread to the faculty. That is the last thing I want. Can you tell me if our private computer use is ever monitored?"

Rin ran her brush through her hair, a final few times before grabbing her bag and heading off to school. She was pleased she'd managed to get some of her school work done last night. But Rin was a little nervous about this new school. So far things hadn't been so good. But as she approached the gate she tried to push the thought from her mind.

Rin passed through the gate, and decided to just make her way to her homeroom for the time being.

Hikaru covered her mouth with a hand, giving a small gasp of surprise. Her voice is low and she leans in so as not to be overheard, respecting his wishes,

"Oh, Yoshida, I had no idea you were going through such a troubling time... Your poor brothers and sisters... I wondered why there wasn't much mention of him in your file," she paused a moment, realizing how invasive that last statement seemed, "Forgive me, I didn't mean it like that! But you don't have to worry. The network is quite secure, but they don't actively monitor the students' personal computers. I think the ones in the labs and in the teachers' offices are, however... Oh. Does that ease your worries?"

He took note of her comment about his record, but quickly buried any reaction to the statement, however disconcerting it was.

"That does help. Thank you so much, Seiya. Your concern means a great deal to me."

Isoroku bowed, and as he came up his face crinkled as though he was on the verge of tears. With a final nod to her, he turned and walked away quickly, as though trying to distance himself from his personal tragedy.

and the Academy Award goes to...

He headed for the classroom, wishing to review his notes before class began, and found Kojiro there. He stopped and smiled, adjusting his bag over one shoulder.

"Oh, man. I totally forgot. You've got to tell me about it. Did you ditch her?"

Hikaru looks quite sympathetic towards the other boy's family affairs; she turns back to her previous conversation, looking considerably less bubbly.

Kojiro half halfheartedly smirked at Yoshida. He seemed in a bit of a better mood than yesterday.

"More like she ditched me...crazy chick was out there waiting for me at ten o'clock!" He reached down and rubbed his knee, it was still sore. "I never made it to the train; I took your advice about driving her off with conversation, but I hit too good a nerve." He chuckled. "She didn't like hearing that people only thought of her as a prize won by the flashest gift."

Kojiro rolled up his pants leg and showed Yoshida a bruise that wrapped around his knee. "She is definitely a star soccer player," he chuckled and looked up. Upon spotting Rin heading for the door he quickly rolled down his pants leg. He didn't care on showing off the bruise to anyone else.

---

Takuya stopped just in the court yard. He spotted a familiar looking group of girls. Usually where they were, Seiya was. He needed to find her to get the reports on the student body. He approached the girls from behind and cleared his throat. They turned to see him and all at once, they backed off.

"Seiya-san, good morning."

Isoroku leaned down and looked at the bruised knee, giving a whistle.

"Holy hell. I can't imagine that feels good."

He considered.

"...you really told her that people see her as a thing? That may be the best thing I've ever heard. There's 1,000 Yen in it for you if you can make her cry during class. Sounds like she deserves it."

He glances up as Rin walks into the class. As she passes, he lowers his voice.

"Shit. I introduced myself to that girl yesterday, but I've got no idea what her name is. I want to say it's short... maybe starts with an 'h'..."

She responded quickly to the title, turning around. Hikaru took an immediate step backward to keep an appropriate distance between herself and the other boy, a faint blush of embarrassment coloring her face to be caught gossiping with friends and not working.

"President. Good morning," she looked down at her feet sheepishly, "How was your break...?"

Kojiro, rolled his eyes. He may as well help Yoshida out. He seemed pretty down to earth, unlike the rest of the students. He stood up as the new girl passed by.

"Hi there!" He waved. "You're our new student, right? I'm Ishikawa, and you've already met Yoshida. What's your name?"

----

Takuya's lips turned up a bit, Seiya was always so respectful. It was refreshing. The other students could learn from her.

"My break was acceptable, Seiya-san," he nodded, "When you are done with these students, please bring me what I need on the first years and new students. I will be waiting in the class room." He turned around and walked away without bothering to ask her how her own break was. It was useless information to him anyway.

He was more curious on who was trudging about his school.

Rin was startled slightly when she saw some boy waving at her. She stopped walking and turned to face him. "Um yes, my name is Junsui Rin. Did you want something?"

Kojiro lowered his hand, a bit taken back by her response.

"Um...no...just, just introducing myself." Holy cow, he didn't know there could be people more antisocial than him....this girl was probably having a rough time herself. "It was nice to meet you, um, if you need any help getting settled just ask."

He put his hands in his pockets. It was rare he felt pity for anyone at this school. He mostly felt contempt. He wondered what was wrong with this girl, most of the chicks at this school were like Kumiko...

Damn now he was curious about something else. But it would have to wait. Dealing with Mizushima, came first.
