Eber turned away out of politeness, but once everyone had jumped down, he started to head down the tunnel, holding his cell phone out in front of him for a crude light. The darkness of the tunnels seemed sinister and alive--but maybe that was just the adrenaline. Still, he proceeded cautiously, careful to stay between the tracks. He reached back behind himself and clutched Kumiko's wrist. Just in case.
He went stock still when he heard that low, garbled laughter again.
"Did you hear--"
He swung his phone forward, but it barely shone into the distance. Those of you with flashlights oblige, shining them to the left and right ahead of you.
"...Oh my God..."
The tunnel is amass with Shadows. They cover the walls and tracks and ceiling, dripping down into each other, rolling together in a river of wickedness. Eber clutches at the hilt of his knife, but there's no way even the five of them can handle such an army. He, and all of you, are physically and spiritually fatigued from the battle on the train.
Eber turns and starts to herd you all backward, "Get back on the train!" Something he sees there, though, makes him freeze up all over again. The door of the subway car that you'd just broken out of has been replaced by a blue Victorian-style door.
"What is this, another trap...?!"
You look over your shoulders. The Shadows are advancing--quickly. Eber reaches into his pocket and, looking quite shocked, pulls out a wrought iron key. One by one, each of you hold up a key of your own. As the enemies surge forward, Eber shoves past the rest of you and, cursing, shoves the key into the lock and twists.
"Hurry, get inside!"
