Eber cast a backward glance to see the other team of three shrinking into the distance. "I suppose they remain unworried of our current standing: easily ahead of them in all areas. I believe we will make fair progress tonight." He held his arm at the appropriate angle to accommodate Kumiko, quite used to the gesture, "Shall we set an alarm as a stopping point? Say... Two A.M.?"

As the German walked with the pair, he flipped out his mobile to do exactly that and ensure they would not be out too late to recover before the next morning's classes. Late as it was, the streets were sparse, very little reason to be out on a Monday night except pick up beer from the convenience store--or vending machine. That was something he could never get used to...

"Ah... What is that?"

He paused just yards away from the entrance to the abandoned subway sector; the stairs were sectioned off by a large metal fence, complete with padlock.

Kojiro looks up ahead where Eber's group has stopped. Wondering why the hell aren't they going in.

"Hey! What's with you guys...we don't have all--" He stops and shakes head. "Uh...what? Why!?"

"You're kidding me." Kumiko eyed the metal structure. "Why suddenly block it off like that? I guess that's not really important. But how do we get back in there?" Her lips twisted in thought.

Yamada stared at the gate as they approached it having been perfectly pleased on the way there. "The next entrance isn't too far from here is it? Perhaps we can try entering from that point." He thought that maybe they could just destroy the padlock, but that'd be vandalism and breaking and entering and he'd rather not do either.

Eber scowled, "It must have been Seiya-senpai. Is it really the same if we enter elsewhere? Hm..." He turned to look at Kojiro, calling out, "Do you have a way to open this?"

"Well, what if that's blocked off too? If they're trying to stop being from entering this place why would they shut off one route and leave the next one wide open? If we break the lock, they'll know we got in..." Kumiko stared upwards at the fence as she thought.

'They're getting smarter.'

Kojiro comes up to the gate and frowns. He looks at the lock, "This could easily be cut off with a pair of lock cutters...or even wire cutters to get around the fence..." He backs up and look around.

"I hate to admit it, but Mizushima has a point. There are probably fences everywhere."

He runs his fingers over the gate and wonders. "He-hey, have we ever tried out personas outside the tunnels? I mean, Quetzalcoatl can slice through things easily..."

It never occurred to Kumiko to even attempt using Baldr outside of the tunnels. Where there restrictions to their powers? At least it wasn't broad daylight, a magical being suddenly springing forth was bound to cause panic. "Maybe they could..."

But she sure as hell wasn't going to be the one to try it.

With a smirk, Eber summoned his Ne-Zha and dealt a vicious blow to the fencing; the padlock popped off the bent metal like a cork out of a bottle.

"Well. Tomorrow they will have to try something stronger."

He started downstairs, certain the others would follow.

Kojiro waits for Yamada and Mizushima to go by before leading his group down the stairs as well.

"I suppose we shall take the same sides as the past time, am I correct? In that case, we shall see you at two o'clock." He waves his cell phone in Ishikawa's general direction; though even the best service doesn't offer reception down here, he's confident the battery will last through the night. Eber takes his team down into the tracks on the left side and brings them confidently towards where they left off, going over their previous marks with the spray paint.

'Isn't that what we want to avoid? Ah well. I'm sure if we can just summon them like that we won't have too much of a problem taking down their barricade.'

Kumiko went in right behind Eber. "So, how are we going to pick which direction to go?"

Yamada followed behind them, surprised again at the power of their personas. He worried over Seiya and if she had been the one to set that up and descended into the tunnels with them again, ready for another night of slaying the shadows. He turned at Eber's decision, a bit surprised by it and produced one for him. "Here you are."

Kojiro leads his party back to the fork in the tunnel. He goes over his old scratch mark with the glittered spray paint and looks around. "Ok, guys, which way will it be? Right or left?"

"Beats me." Isoroku shrugged "It's not like we know what we'll find down here, I mean really know. Shouldn't matter which direction we take...as long as we're going forward, that is.

"Flip of the coin, huh? Works for me. Let's say heads is left and tails is right. Flip away." Kumiko awaited the coin's decision.

He gave a nod. "You're right, Isoroku..." He looked down the path of which the phantom mages attacked them last time. He pointed the opposite direction, "Let's go this way."

He did not feel like seeing those things again. Though he was sure there were more lurking in other tunnels...

He nodded and motioned off to the tunnel in question, leaning forward to peer down it before they started off along their way.

Perhaps he didn't realize it (consciously) but there was a stupid looking smile across his face. On the one hand they'd avoided the dangers they knew lurked down the one tunnel; on the other they were walking into unknown dangers in this one.

'Why fear the unexpected when you can have fun with it...'

He reached into the waist of his pants to pull that gun out. Better to have it at the ready than to fumble around and end up shooting himself in the ass, after all.

He flipped it; heads. He communicated this to his teammates and told them to keep a sharp eye out. His knife was at the ready at his side.
