Shin Megami Tensei Persona: Dissonant Strain (Private RP)

"Well that could have ended in a disaster. You're lucky it wasn't harmful." Kumiko gave them a look that could only mean 'be more careful'. "How do you know it does that? Wait a sec, where is everybody? Shouldn't we wait for them or are we just going to reexplain it when they get here?"

Kojiro shrugged. "I don't know if Isoroku is coming...no one answered his door and it looked as if Edogawa had been there....I left him a note to call me."

Rin nodded at Mizushima's words. "That reaction could hardly have been expected. But should we find anything else in the tunnels, we know to watch out for that reaction."

"It is all right. We have time." Eber shrugged in regards to the others being... well, a bit late. "It is interesting, however, to know there are such useful things in those tunnels, waiting to be picked up."

Yamada finished any work he had for the next day, grabbed his spear so his group could leave right after and hurried out to the gym, anxious to get there and not get caught. He'd had a hard time concentrating on his studies and as he set out to leave he ran a hand through his hair, hoping he could do this stealthily, suddenly wishing he had a more convenient weapon. He checked the time and realized he was running late with a start. As soon as he was out of sight of anyone he ran for the gym and rushed inside.

He looked a bit guilty when he entered and nodded to them all, not sure if he should say anything or just stand off to the side. He set his spear against the wall and stood there a bit awkwardly. "Sorry I ran late, everyone."

 

[ShadowFolk]

"Let's just hope they all do about the same thing. I mean, didn't it just sorta fall out of one or whatever? If it helps, that great. We'd have a hell of a time explaining a fatality to the authorities. 'Well, you see, she just opened a bottle and keeled over' probably wouldn't fly too well. Ok, maybe not that severe, but you get my drift. Maybe we can use the masks from the chemistry labs?"

The doors to the gym opened, revealing Yamada. "Oh, Good, you made it."

Kojiro looked over his shoulder at Yamada and gave a polite 'hello' before turning back to Kumiko."We can't take a mask from the labs, they'll notice that...But I guess we could test each vial individually. This one looks liquid but turned to smoke as soon as we opened it. That's the only reason some go into Rin's system."

 

[ShadowFolk]

"You have a point. And I guess there would be no real way to tell if all that stuff reacts the same way." she folded her arms in thought. "It's all touch and go I suppose."

 

[PresqueVu]

Yamada stared for a minute, registering what he just said. "It...It got into Junsui-San's system? Is that safe?" He'd missed more of the conversation than he wished he had, but that didn't sound good at all.

 

[Keppler]

"......pleh......"

Isoroku chewed at the air he was breathing for a few moments and widened his stance, waiting for something to happen. Something -had- to happen after a concoction like that. Either his body was going to forcefully remove himself of it (through an unexpected avenue, he thought. Like an ear) or surely he must now be the healthiest man alive. Or neither. Or whatever. All he could notice immediately was the strange disappearance of that taste, as though it was waiting in his cheeks to strike again at the most opportune moment.

One immediately available activity down, two to go. His eyes trailed towards his phone, and shortly the rest of him followed palming the device and turning it over in his hand a few times before going through the myriad of text messages he'd been receiving about some meeting in the gymnasium.

'All right then...might as well get into something potentially exciting.'

Once he'd gathered up things that needed gathering...namely his pistol...he made his way to the gym, casually coming on in without a word to offer.

"Ah, its fine, Yamada." Kojiro nodded, "Apparently it helps our Persona
s regain stre-"

He stopped and looked beyond Yamada. He almost smiled at the new occupant of the room. "Isoroku!" Kojiro waved to him. "I was starting to worry about you. Are you ok?"

Kumiko reclined on the practice mats. "Well I'm glad I was wrong about what could have happened to him. At least you won't be down a member."

'He's good and well. And that's great. But now the jackasses are back together. Ah whatever, they're not on my team, I don't have to deal with them.' She then started to wonder if the teams were well balanced enough. Team Jackass had a book, a rapier, and a gun. A god damn gun and Team Bad-Ass had...
Kumiko looked to Yamada and Eber, 'Yamada-san is actually pretty talented even before he got his Persona and that Eber guy doesn't seem to be afraid of a damn thing. A spear, a knife, and...and shoes. Yeah, I think I'm pretty okay with this.'

 

[Keppler]

'Well Kumiko is just tickled to see me, at least' he grinned to himself.

Isoroku nodded right back to Kojiro, halfway shrugging. "I'll let you know after this stuff that crazy nurse gave me kicks in." In reality he was feeling much better than he had the past couple of days; not that he'd been feeling particularly ill before and not that he attributed this rise in mood to whatever puddy he'd gulped down earlier. Being out and about with a firearm on his person was good to get the blood pumping though, that much he was sure of.

"Helps our Personas regain our what now?" He leaned forward a bit to peer at the vial of whatever.

 

[Rosen2012]

"I'm not really sure..." Kojiro looked at Rin, "She just said it made her persona feel stronger. Like it had recovered some strength."

Kojiro felt in an even better mood now. His whole team was present. And he could finally talk to Isoroku about Yamada. Perhaps Mizushima was right...but there was also a chance she was dead wrong. She did have a habit of disagreeing with him just because it was his idea.

 

[ShadowFolk]

"Oh yeah!" Kumiko had a thought. "We never determined just how long we plan to stay in the tunnels. Even if we have two separate teams we should probably meet up again on the platform at a set time to at least make sure everyone makes it out. At least that's what I think. If you're more than, let's say ten minutes late or so the other team should investigate. It's just a thought. The last time the three of us were in there we ran into all sorts of Shadows."

The thought of a whole new set of Shadows with weakness they did not know worried her. Even more so for the Shadows that might over power the entire team.

Kojiro was conflicted. He agreed with Mizushima.

"...She's right...how should we coordinate this?"

 

[Daren58]

Rin shifted on her feet. "Well we could um just set a certain amount of time for exploring and after that time has passed start heading back right away." She glanced at the others wondering what they thought.

 

[Rosen2012]

"But by how long?" Kojiro asked. "I mean...the tunnels are long, and there are so many paths...the deeper we got he more time we need. Otherwise it will get to the point where by the time we get to a new area it will be time to head back."

 

[ShadowFolk]

"We can increase the time each time we find a new branch in the path." She made a noise in the back of her throat as she thought. "It'd be great if we could just keep in contact with our phones, but there's no reception down there...We'll figure something out. We've got geniuses on our side."

 

[Rosen2012]

"Hmn...if only we had that head gear. Seiya was talking to someone that night..." He sighed. Oh well, no use worrying over it. "We'll figure something out, like Mizushima said."


Damn that was twice in ten minutes. He had to get out of the gym before this became a problem.
