"Then give it a few minutes for that kid to get back to his room and then we should leave. The sooner we get out there, the more time we have to look for another way in." Kumiko voiced her agreement with Eber about sticking together. They would have more eyes that way anyway. Easier to spot trouble or anything out of the ordinary.
Kojiro agreed with Fridmund and Kumiko. "Definitely, not splitting up tonight." He started to pick up the trash around the kendo room. If they had to wait a few minutes he had to make sure the room was clean or he would get in trouble with the rest of the team.
Eber didn't assist, but waited patiently for Kojiro to finish. He wasn't pleased at the idea of missing a chance to rest, but knew the matter was pressing--well, probably pressing. When they were ready, he left with them. They'd all learned where the campus security cameras were by now...
"Lead the way."

Kojiro waited for everyone to exit the room before locking the door. "Well start at the nearest running station. I'm sure the kids that hang round there have heard some sort of gossip. Plus we can check the railway maps against the underground one...see if there are any places close to the surface that sync up."

Eber followed behind Kumiko, Rin, Isoroku, Yukimura, and Kojiro off campus and onto the walk outside. It seemed a longer walk than usual with the added apprehension...
You and your party see much more activity in the street than usual--when you get close enough, you realize that this is because the entire block is cordoned off by the police. Citizens are packed around the edge of the separated "crime scene", openly speculating about the cause without, presumably, any real information on it.
But it's quite animated.
"What IS that thing...? It's a girl?!"
"Eew! No way!"
"Where did it come from, are they going to take it to the hospital?"
"What would be the point, that thing is D-E-A-D!!"

He had left the room with them, still lost in thought. He wasn't sure what the best way to go about this was, but he hoped they'd figure it out. As they reached the crowd Yamada stared, eyes going wide and tried to get a view of what was going on, thankful for his height. His blood had run cold, worried that it could be Seiya. It couldn't be. She couldn't be dead. He tried to excuse himself through the crowd to get a better look.
"Oh fuck." Kumiko's face drained of color. She wasn't waiting to take a peek and practically bulldozered her way through the crowd of women to get to the front. 'It's not her, so just calm down. It's not her. We know people have wound up here. It's not her, it's someone else.'
Eber helped to elbow the onlookers aside, rushing with the rest of the group to the front of the crowd, nearly bowling straight through the barriers. It was true what they said--the body was most definitely dead. A girl, though very little besides some shreds of clothing remained to identify her as such. Her flesh was so badly bruised it was an almost uniform blue-black, bloated in post-mortem decay--one side a horrible, charred mess, no hair, only the whiteness of teeth in her jaw left.
There's no evidence that could prove that this girl is Seiya Hikaru.

Yamada stood there absolutely still. It couldn't be her. He stared forward at the gruesome scene, his stomach churning at the mere thought that it might be Seiya. That headpiece. Was it the same as the other ones? The same as hers?
Even if this wasn't Seiya he'd never forgive himself if this had truly been the fault of their actions the previous night. And how could it not have been? He didn't even remember that his teammates were around him, or that there was a crowd. He just stared forward, mind racing, trying to find any identifying factor from her or the destroyed electronic piece beside her to show if this was or was not the girl they knew.

"I am sorry, Yamada-senpai." The German glared solidly at the cement, angry for having fled the scene the previous night. Angry for trusting the two older students to accomplish what should have been their own goals. "...We did not make it in time."

Kumiko couldn't not stand to look at the sight. The moment it registered in her head that what she was was a body, she turned on her heel and faced the opposing direction. "Oh god..." Her hands covered her mouth, suppressing her gag reflex.
Yamada didn't even notice there was someone speaking to him for almost a full minute before he turned to Eber, voice soft and searching, as if he just couldn't find the right emotion. "...How can you be sure that's her? That... It... It isn't necessarily her, right?" His chest was tightened up almost painfully.
Eber frowned. The piece was larger than any Bluetooth headset he'd seen--the red and black enamel with the yellow trim... It was the same one. He didn't say it aloud though. Didn't think he could bring himself to.

Kojiro silently nodded, he started to push away from the crowd. "There has to be away...to confirm..someone...who would know..." He mindlessly started saying he first thing that came to mind. Anything really trying to push the image in his head down. he couldn't bear to think about it.
