I KNOW!!! A changeable roster. That you can use depending on different circumstances. There will have to be clues about which one to use though. Like the screen things in Portal

Does anyone else remember playing the first Rainbow Six? When one of the 'named' characters died, they got replaced by a no-faced 'operative' that was worse then everyone else (Though no completely useless).

You should add that in. Except give them names, but make a name generator!
It would work thusly:

Take any game name: Halo, CoD, GoW, WoW, Diablo, etc.
Then take one of the following words: Dude, guy, gal, homey, aardvark, desk, man, lagoon, or sniperzz
Then, finally, add a random number between 1 and 1000.

You'll get this:

HaloAardvark645 is now on your team!
EveDesk324 has died.
BulletproofLagoon23 has been riddled with bullets.

Plus, you can give them REALLY annoying voice overs to further punish the player for losing GOOD people.

Yeah, that'd be me dude. I've looked for it on google and can't find the song, that's why I was offering to upload it for you. I think someone has it on youTube, but that's the only place I can find it still.

Oh yes, that. I never played Rainbow Six: Raven Shield properly. I always wanted to be the awesome rainbow operative, supersneaky and superawesome. But sometimes, I couldn't do it alone, and some missions were just so frustratingly difficult... So! I picked a few random dudes, formed two teams, didnt bother with equipment and just set up the battleplan so both teams would cover ever zone twice (in case team A failed, team B could pick up where they left off.. in reverse). and anyone left would be easily taken care of.

Many 'good' characters would die, and replaced by some rookie operative. Needless to say, they also died. Not that I cared. >

Oh yes, going offtopic. Erm.

Description: Ultrajoe is a man clad in blue plate mail armour. He attacks with his Battleaxe or if Range is needed he uses the Dominator.
Weapons - Ranged- Dominator
-Melee- Battleaxe

Will there be some sort of online part. Not necessarly(I spelled that wrong didn't I) online matches and co-op, but some kind of leader board, and we would be shown with our escapist names/nicknames/usernames.

To be pointful, have you considered your own role? (if anyone else talked about this, I just spent an hour reading other threads so now tl;dr) You gonna be an irritating support character or an all-knowing guide talking about Heroes and low health? Yeah, involve yourself. As creator you deserve some major role, eh?

(in all honesty though, I wanna be rollerskating Pixie #4)
