seeing john go up the shaft Ilundra using her now iron hard muscles grabs chris around the waist in mid stride and then jumped onto the ladder nearly falling off as her momentum bent the thin metal frame throwing chris over her sholder she grabbed her gun and shot a few of the infected to slow them down and then climbed into the vent.
she set chris down on the vent floor and then turned and jumped back down to buy the others some time to get up.
after they were all safe in the vent Ilundra followed them up and pulled the ladder in behind her.
when she got back up she saw john talking to a stranger and went over to meet him.
as she arrived she turned to him saying "hi Im Ilundra what is your name?"
she set chris down on the vent floor and then turned and jumped back down to buy the others some time to get up.
after they were all safe in the vent Ilundra followed them up and pulled the ladder in behind her.
when she got back up she saw john talking to a stranger and went over to meet him.
as she arrived she turned to him saying "hi Im Ilundra what is your name?"
"The name is Rick Hartigan, first things first, how the hell did you manage to do the things that you just did, you aren't infected are you?" Rick seems worried.
"to answer your question" Ilundra sighs and after a lengthy pause continues "yes I am infected.
I dont know entirely whats wrong with me but I have a theory."
"A few days ago I was attacked and I suffered a near fatal wound and needed to get to medical bay but I think that the combanation of the virus bio-foam and morphine have changed me...on a genetic level I am growing stronger by the day as this gray skin spreads across me starting from my wound and were I injected the morphine it now covers my chest and right arm.

"You don't have long to live, I'm sorry to say, but I'm afraid it will be far too dangerous to have you around when the transformation occurs, the risks simply outweigh the benefits. I do, however know of something you can do for us. There is a secret executive escape pod designed for emergencies just like this. The pod is designed to allow for the evacuation ov VIP's among the Ishimura. Now, the pod has not been launched as of yet, and I think it may be our best bet out of this Hell. There is one problem however; the controls to launch the pod are in a seperate room in the executive wing, a room which has had part of its hull compromised, resulting in a dramatic increase of radiation levels. You may be the only one of us that can manage to make your way through the radiated chamber and activate the controls; I'm sure the radiation will eventually overcome your system, but you will have boldly rescued the remaining survivors...I know this is alot to ask...but it may be our only hope." Rick puts his hand on the shoulder of Ilundra.
"So, you're saying that we need to leave someone behind. I'm not gonna let that happen. I personally think we shou-" John is cut off by the scythe-like claws wrapping around him, shooting out from what was thought to be a secure vent. They don't cut him, but they drag him into the darkness. "Nooo!!!!" he screams agonizingly.
"SHIT!" Rick screams and runs after John, he deploys the mining laser just in the nick of time, slicing the dangerous appendage from body of John's necromorph captor. "We're going to have to be more careful guys." Rick explains, "Now someone HAS to stay behind, now way around that, I hate to be the bearer of bad news...but this is just how it has to be. Now there is no sense in risking another life when there is already an infected among us. No matter the means of infection...the host WILL eventually die." Rick fixes his gaze onto Ilundra. "Now, what do you think, can you help?"
not wanting the creature to live and come back for another victem and with it to dark to shoot at in the vent Ilundra jumps after the creature but it was to fast and grabed her with its hands and reaching out to her with its remaining arm and pulls her into the darkness after a second or two the group hears the sickening crack of bones breaking and a scream abruptly cut off by a dull thud.

the rest of the group notising a fresh cut into the chest plate were the creature had grabed her.
wiping some of the blood of her face she walks up to Rick and saids "Dont go in there its not pretty" walking up to Rick she said after a long sigh "I will do it but if that sector has a hull rupture it will be decompressed and I will need someone elses suit... mine seams to be comming apart and I think my chest piece could fall off soon if this keeps up and I didnt have time to grab an undershirt,
also I will need a tank of air this one" Ilundra indicates the twisted metal hanging off of her back. "its to damaged. if you can get me these things I will activate the pod... even if I cant leave with you."

"Well Chris, my name is Rick Hartigan, I am a miner from the complex located on the planet underneath the Ishimura. I think I have a way for us to get off of this ship, it's is an escape pod located in the executive wing of the Ishimura. The trouble is, however, that the launch controls for the pod are in a chamber flooded with a large amount of radiation, so much that even a hazmat suit will not protect us from it. Now I think Ilundra, being that she is infected and all, will have the best chance of all of us to enter the chamber and have adequate time to activate the launch controls, most likely killing her in the process." Rick turns to John. "Sorry if this plan doesn't work for you John, but I have checked...there are no more shuttles on this damn ship. Everyone has taken them and fled. Ilundra, lets find you a suit and get out of here." Rick points down one of the other branches of the shaft. "This way" he says.
"Ah, it is good to see another friendly face aboard this vessel. The name is Rick Hartigan, miner from the colony below. we were just on our way to the executive wing, I have a way off of this ship." Rick beckons Vladimir to follow the group. "Come on"
"Yeah... I'm not going with you guys. I'm not gonna let this happen. I'm going to the hangar, and I'm gonna live. I'm not gonna needlessly waste a life to make my escape. I'm getting the hell out of here." John opens one of the vents and crawls in. He closes it behind him, and starts crawling.
"Let him go" Rick says to the group, "he has made his decision...there are no ships in the hangar...trust me...that is the first place I went, we have to get to the executive wing, Ilundra, your stop is along the way, I'm counting on you." Rick helps Chris down the shaft while gesturing the others along.
