"Well Ilundra, the iron skin is but a side effect of the infection, you are most likely mutating into a different type of creature than what you have already witnessed, an advanced necromorph. Don't worry though, you are going to have plenty enough time to flip that switch before the radiation kills you. Ah, here we are." Rick stops, goes down a small lader, and emerges a few minutes later with a new suit for Ilundra. " here you are, this should give you more time than you'll need, now let us hurry, we are only a short distance from the executive wing." Rick continues down the passage.

"you should have plenty of time before the transformation occurs, unless you are directly transformed by one of the original parasites from the planet below, infection take awhile to mutate you further, I think you'll have plenty of time for the mission. Ok, this is your stop Ilundra." Rick lowers a ladder. "Just head down this, take a left, and the room in front of you will be the chamber you need to go into. Once inside, you shouldn't have any trouble finding the controls, good luck Ilundra, and God bless, I will never forget the sacrifice you have made here." Rick hugs Ilundra, and closes the hatch behind her. "Come on guys, we're close to the executive escape pod." Rick continues down the passage.

Ilundra reloading her gun says a tearful gooodbye to the rest of the group before climbing down the ladder.
as she reached the bottom she found herself standing infront of an airlock keying in the code she opened it and came into a small hallway closing the door behind her she checked her gear for leaks and then taking a deep breath to steady herself she opened the door and headed into the green haze.

"Alright guys, we're here" Rick slides open a hatch, revealing a service ladder. "This leads down into the executive wing, where we can take the unused escape pod...that is if Ilundra makes it..." Rick climbs down the ladder, and waits for the others to reach the bottom. "Wherever you are Ilundra, we're counting on you." Rick thinks to himself.

as she walked through the haze her eyes began to adjust but she wished they hadnt there were corpses all around her most infected but some human.
as she walked she watched her suits radiation light switch on to let her know there was a mild threat as she continued it grew stronger and after a few minutes became a serius helth risk for anyone without a suit.
after about 10 minutes of walking she checked her map and found she was about 3/4 of the way there, but the RAD levels outside her suit were strong enough to kill a normal human in minutes and worse it was starting to damage the outer layer of her armor.
taking another look around she saw that the walls here were soft and begining to melt and the corpses here were already almost without flesh.
she knew she had to hurry and quickining her pace she would be at the control console in a few minutes.

"Alright guys, we're close to the escape pod now, just a bit further, lets just hope Ilundra got to the controls by now." Rick opens a secret hatch revealing a set of stairs, "The pod is just down these stairs guys" Rick starts walking down the stairs.

the green mist had begun to seep into her suit Ilundra could feel no pain from it yet but did not know wether that ment she was not affected.
through the haze a shape began to materialize and she realized she had reached the controls.
looking though the diagram Rick had given her she disabled the lock on the stairs and relised the ship from the docking clamps engaging the engins so it would not hit the ground.
that being done Ilundra still felt like she might be able to make it back out of this place but knowing Rick would not wait for an Infected like herself she downloaded the most recent update of the ship and scanned for a means of escape.
after a few minuted she nearly cryed for all the joy she was flooded with there was one pod left an emergincy escape pod close to the bridge set away from the others.
she quickly downloaded the map and bolted out of this area heading for the bridge.
as she ran words came to mind... John he had stood up for her tryed to save her and then left the group to go to the launch bay.
after a few minutes she jumped on the tram and when promted for a destination she told the computor "LAUNCH BAY" after the tram ride it was just a few hundred meters and an elivator ride until she was standing infront of the bay.
she opened the doors and there sitting in the middle was John. he appeared to by crying she ran down and grabbed him around the coller pulling him to his feet "cheer up theres still one pod left." she told him and she took him half draging half running back to the tram and begun the ride to the bridge.

OOC: You really think I'm gonna let this story end?

A few minutes earlier

John crawls through the vents and hears ungodly roars sounding from all around him. A Necromorph appears behind him in the vent and begins crawling after him. John desperately crawls away from the creature. He falls against a grate and tumbles into the flight lounge. The creature, realizing that it is too big to fit into the small opening, disappears back into the network of vents. John leaves the flight lounge, and heads to the main hangars. Most of the ships are gone. The rest either crashed in their haste to escape or were destroyed by Necromorphs before takeoff. He still holds out hope, though. He moves to the landing bay. Nothing. He moves to the launch bay. Nothing. John begins to accept his fate and think about his decision. He just had to save Ilundra, a person he met just a few hours ago. To add insult to injury, she still gets to die, and he gets to suffer the same fate. "Damn doctor instincts." he mutters to himself. Something catches his eye. He looks through the transparent material of the launch bay doors. He sees a lone mining ship hovering near the Ishimura. He breaks open a glass case containing a flare gun. He fires it at the door. The ship turns it's cockpit toward the bay. Tears of joy flow down John's face. An arm wraps around his neck and begins dragging him away. The person that arm belongs to reassuringly tells him "Cheer up, there's one pod left." Ilundra drags him into the tram. She reaches for the button panel. "Wait!" John shouts. "We don't have to use the escape pod!"

"Finally, we're free." Rick looks through the small window of the escape pod, then turns to Vladimir and Chris. "We did it guys...we did it." Rick begins to cry...and sits down in one of the chairs.

after john finishes telling his story and Ilundra oppoligises they hear the friendly feminin voice of the tram computor telling them they have arrived.
"most of the necromorphs seem to be somewere else but still no need to let our guard down this close to the end besides that mining ship wouldnt have fit in the bay to rescue us anyway."
pulling out her gun she opens the door and checking that the coast is clear she lept out of the tram and ran the 200 meters to the bridge crew escape pod and seeing that the green light was on meaning that the pod was still there she opend the doors and steped in turning back she yelled to john "Move it im starting the systems check."
after a few minutes she yelled back to john "all systems green, if your not here in 5min you can go back to that mining ship cause im leaving!"

Name: Kyoshiro "Kyo" Miyamoto
Age: 34
Occupation: Medical Doctor, as well as a passable marksman

Appearance: White knee-length lab coat, surgical gloves, is light-skinned with straight ebony hair and hard, jaded features

Bio: Born to a tradition-heavy Japanese family, Kyo was trained for some time by his father in the skills of warfare, though he was not incredibly good at what he was being trained for, Kyo is of an intermediate skill at martial arts and could pass a basic marksmanship course. Kyo's lack of skill disappointed his father, even more so when it was revealed that he was a natural at medicine and was accepted into an incredibly prestigious medical school. The Ishimura is Kyo's first job in the field, having worked at hospitals and small clinics beforehand, when the Necromorphs came, Kyo and his friend, an engineer named Ted, barricaded Kyo's modest quarters and held out for rescue, Ted was killed by a slasher creeping through the ventilation ducts, and Kyo has remained inside, undisturbed, and alone.

Equipment: Three small medpacs and a large one, a few packets of pain relieving agents, also a flamethrower from Ted, though there is a plasma cutter that he possessed as well, Kyo would not be able to carry it in addition to the other weapons.

Kyoshiro sat alone in the room, having covered his face with a surgical mask to block out the stench of Ted's corpse some time ago, his flamethrower ever-trained on the vent, though he heard scrabbling outside, nothing or nobody had ever attempted to breach the door. Knowing his quarters to be near the escape pods, he peaked out at the sound of all the ruckus, and, seeing the coast clear, ran for the escape pods and began banging on the door of it.

A few minutes earlier

John decides to go with Ilundra and begins marching toward the pod doors. Necromorphs begin exploding from all of the vents. They must have been following the tram. Having no weapons to fight with, John instead just runs in the opposite direction of the pod. A flood of monsters chases him. He dives through an open pair of double doors. He hits a random button, and the doors close.

The whole room begins to move. "What the hell?" John questions. He realizes that he is back in the tram, and that he hit the Previous Destination button. The tram arrives back at the flight lounge. He reaches for the Previous Destination button again, but the beasts that must have followed him are now tearing through the ceiling of the tram. John sprints through the flight lounge, finds that the monsters are still giving chase, and runs into the hangars. He activates the emergency quarantine alarm and slides under the hatch that leads to the landing bay before it closes.

The mining ship from earlier has successfully landed. Some of the crew is standing around outside of the ship. "Hey! Hey! Over here!" John shouts. They get the message. "We've been waiting for you. Hurry up; we're just about to take off." one says. John boards the ship. All of the crew loads up. The captain says "You're the only one? There's nobody else?" "Yeah. Everyone else is gone." The ship takes off.

Within seconds of escaping, things go horribly wrong. Monsters are all over the vessel. One jumps onto the front of the ship and begins ripping out the navigational wiring. Another makes a suicide leap and hits one of the thrusters. The ship flies into a tailspin and careens wildly through space. As all of this happens, there is complete silence. A crewman breaks the silence. "We've got something near us!" "Which side!?" the captain shouts back. "We're spinning too much! I can't get any bearings!" Another officer chimes in. "Scanner says it's the executive escape pod!" "No shit." John whispers. The tail of the ship catches the pod. The repeated spinning lodges the pod into the side of the mining vessel. "We've been hit on the starboard side!" someone yells. "We're going down!" another person shouts.

A man rushes past John with a fire extinguishing capsule. "We got another pod!" is heard through the cacophony. John takes a helmet from a nearby rack. He puts it on and straps himself in as tightly as he can. A regular escape pod smashes through the cockpit of the ship. The captain is sucked into space. Most of the crew either suffers the same fate or is killed in some other gruesome way. John's helmeted head is pinned against a port hole. He sees the hull of the Ishimura growing closer. John is sucked back from the window, and then slammed forward again. Blackness.

Ilundra gave john the five minutes and a few more but decided that she didnt want to leave without one last try at helping any other survivers so heading to the command bridge and created a baracade that no creature could get through, looking around the room she saw that the air vents were to small for the necromorphs to fit through.
walking up to the commanders chair she sat down took a look around and then pressed the intercom butten "ATTENTION ALL REMAINING SURVIVERS ON THE S.S. ISHIMURA REPORT TO THE COMMAND BRIDGE FOR EMERGINCY EVAC! REPEAT EMERGINCY EVAC! WE LEAVE IN HALF AN HOUR!!!"
