get both. though i own both, i get more fun out of the 360, the ps3 doesnt have quite a big enough selection and the multiplayer for it is sub par when compared to the xbox.
What this guy said. If backwards compatibility means something to you, then Xbox. You won't find a PS3 with BC for a reasonable price if you find one at all. Although the failure rate of the PS3's have always stayed under the 20% and are actually in the same catagory as the Wii for failure rates. The Wii may actually have a higher failure rate.Easton Dark said:If it's backwards compatibility you want; the 360 does a good job.
For modern exclusives; PS3 is now your choice.
Also I don't think PS3 ever had a 50% or + failure rate.
I thought the Team ICO COllection was canceledHassEsser said:Buy a PlayStation 3, it has better graphics, a free/superior online and it has better games, such as:
Uncharted (2)
Killzone 2 (3)
LittleBIGPlanet (2)
Gran Turismo 5
inFAMOUS (2)
God of War III (Collection)
Sly Colleciton
and Team ICO Collection, Splinter Cell Collection, Prince of Persia Collection(none yet released)
Hmm well first off PS3 never had a greater than 50% failure rate, I know 360's had a high failure rate, but IDK if it ever topped 50%...funguy2121 said:Okay escapists, I've finally tired of just owning a Wii. I've just started my medical career which will have me on call at least 7 days out of the month and Imma need some serious quality video games to fill my time with. I am hoping for backwards compatibility. I could care less about most of the Metal Gear games and, Zelda aside, I hate RPGs.
So I was thinking I'd either get a used system or a new one with a decent hard drive. I know that ever since Sony made the PS3 affordable they also snatched away backwards compatibility, so I'm leaning towards a used PS3 or else a 360, buuuttt...
What about the failure rate of the early models? It's not like I can warranty a used console, and both systems had a greater-than-50% failure rate for nearly a year.
So, what do you think?
I love the Splinter Cell games and anything with stealth, FPSs, retro games, I loved the Sands of Time games and I love games with 4-player split-screen support.
Thanks in advance.
I would agree with all but the "superior" part, its undeniable that XBL > PSNHassEsser said:Buy a PlayStation 3, it has better graphics, a free/superior online
