Prototype.

A quick tip: Don't go into it expecting some kind of realism, it's a fundamentally unrealistic game, but it's very fuckin' fun and a great way of relieving any stress you may have.

Incidentally, I have it in Australia, uncensored at MA15+.

Both have pros and cons.

I'm inclined to like Prototype since it's basically Hulk: Ultimate Destruction with a different main character. Though Hulk was better since you could turn cars into boxing gloves and buses into surfboards.

In fact, screw Infamous and Prototype, if you have a PS2 or Gamecube, grab Hulk: Ultimate Destruction XD

I actually REALLY didn't like Infamous. I felt clunky to me, jumping was floaty and there was no easy way to scale a building. The standard shooting attack didn't feel satisfying to me, and overall I didn't have fun with it. But that's just me.

Infamous for comic book-type drama (definitely a better crafted story), action, and fun super powers.

Prototype for pure destruction, mayhem, and violence.

Whichever sounds more appealing to you. I played both and preferred Infamous.

Infamous is the clear-cut winner. Just rent prototype.

I do like to fuck around a lot, but I like deep narrative better, although the web of intrigue intrigues me.

Probably gonna get inFamous.

I'm leaning more toward inFamous for the electro shock powers and combat in general but Prototype has my vote for absolute wanton destruction (imagine putting every player of GTA4 in one virtual city and give them god mode, infinite ammo and a rocket launcher that fires quicker than a fucking minigun)
Get prototype its non stop carnage start to finish, perfectly understands exactly what it's mean to be, even the vehicles rock

inFamous!!! Hands down. Prototype, is the Incredible Hulk wearing the Venom symbiote. Cool concept, but the overall delivery was kinda weak.

I haven't played inFamous, but I have played Prototype. If it's cheap, I'd reccomend it. Fun once in a while when you want to cause a vast amount of property damage and have little stand in your way. Gets boring rather quickly though.

I found them both a bit boring. Gameplay gets repetitive before long. Especially with inFamous.

Basically, Prototype has better gameplay, inFamous has better writing.

Well I'm a bit of a Sucker Punch fan so . . . inFamous. I just found it to be generally better then Prototype. I loved slinging around lightning bolts. I need to get a ps3 so I can play it more. (played it a lot at a friend's house)

Get both, and then hope that someday the two storylines will intertwine long enough for Cole to fight Alex in the single greatest super-battle of all time.

They're both two of my favorite games. Go for infamous though. More replay value, and better core gameplay.

I've played them both, and had fun with both, but Prototype is just so repetitive that it's ridiculous. Granted, inFamous is also pretty repetitive, but nowhere near as much.
