Morrowind is a "must-have-played" game, the story is amazing and its pretty eazy to mod with tes construction set.
and modding needs to be done...

God yes, buy it now! For 5 bucks there's probably nothing else on the planet that will get you more hours of playtime than Morrowind.

I just received a sum of cash, but i'm using most of it, which leaves me with 5 dollars I can use. Question is, should I get TES: Morrowind, which is for sale at steam for 5 dollars? Is it a recommendable game?
there is only one answer to this question YES. over the years i've clocked over 1000 hours on Morrowind, and the game world is so big that I am still finding new things. If you can, get the expansions as well, or the game of the year edition, which has them included, they add even more to the game.

And if you run out of things to do (not that you will anytime soon), you can then download player made mods for free that add huge amounts of content.

In short, Great game, well worth the $5, just don't expect to stop playing it any time in the near future.

No it's a boring brown world with laughable combat. Granted it has a good story but you move slowly, combat has to be moded or it's just impossible and the interface could not be more user unfriendly if it tried
Your ignorant post makes me want to flame you, but your avatar makes me want to congratulate you... So confused.

Stop,
hammer time!
(Can't) touch this.
Feel free to congratulate me and why is it ignorant? You must know that the world was very brown, the combat was terrible and I have never found such a terrible interface

The story is good though and I will not deny that and for the time it was massive, interesting and something completely new. However I played it 2 months ago and it just hasn't aged that well

Obvious in my opinion

Oh god yes, even though it's older, it's much better than Oblivion (although the combat is a little worse). The best thing is the stupid "dey levul up weth u!" (which is a bit redundant) system is gone.

Go go go go. For gods sake, it's $5. You can't lose. I will warn you, it will seem annoying at first. Cause you're a weakling. But without auto level, it does mean that once you are strong, you feel strong.
Plus it's just awesome. Yeah, go.

Definitely worth buying, especially for $5 dollars. The graphics haven't aged all that well, but I still find myself playing through it again roughly once a year. Go into it with an open mind and you should have a ton of fun. Just remember not to steal anything if people are watching :p

My opinion is slightly biased as Morrowind is my favourite game of all time, but I'd say *yes*. I bought that game just after it came out, and I still play it to this day - if you're a fan of open-ended RPGs you'll get a lot of mileage out of it, especially for 5 bucks.

Get it. I played Oblivion on xbox 360 first and adored it. Then I played Morrowind on pc and got very bored. Played it again, got used to the different combat system, downloaded some mods and I fell in love.

Also mods work the same with the steam version as the other versions. You should also download the morrowind plugin installer.

It automatically installs your mods for you and that website has just about every mod ever.

No, not unless you're a major fan of the TES series. Morrowind is hard to get into and like all TES games suffers from a very poor leveling system. Plus the plot doesn't really grab you, infact you pretty much have to hunt it down.. a good game shouldn't make you hunt for the plot.
