Should I have retaliated?

Oh by the way, I don't think you should've told anything to the teacher, I mean, that doesn't justifies the fact that he and his girlfriend attacked you, but there was really no need to talk about him in his absence.

Imagine if he ignored you and never attacked you? You would be the bad guy in the end.

I would have punched her in the gut, or the face. Normally I wouldn't, but she can keep her filthy jaws off my back. What kind of girl pulls your hair and BITES you? I don't know where you live, but I wouldn't tolerate that kind of action. AND I perfectly agree with Mistermixmaster. If they want equality, I will give them equality...in the face! *dramatic music*

Feh. A man needs his girlfriend to fight his battles? Reminds me of that one Fresh Prince episode in a few ways.

OT: That seems a little....awkward to not react in that situation; I can't imagine things were overly quiet on both ends. A quick shove, a "WTF" and a situation assessment on whether or not you'll run or confront her would've sufficed for me if I was in that situation. It seems odd that something like...that would happen so cleanly.

.....Or if it was all quiet.....Could she have been a zombie? If so, you're screwed.
he used awkwardness to protect himself

it doesn't always work, but when it works... man, your opponent will begging you for mercy
Would your opponent be awkwardly begging you for mercy then? Or is begging for mercy awkward enough to an awkward person that it can't get any more awkward unless there's...Oh, nevermind.

Now just looking back on the original post, i'm a little curious now on the aftermath for the scenario when walking away calmly. To me, it seemed how it..happened, then both of you just split your different ways casually. Did she run away? Did she follow you? Stood still and pouted while licking her chops?

I unno, but this mystery now intrigues me further.

Beat the crap out of her boyfriend so she learns a lesson.
I would not have hit her tho, that is still wrong. I would have tried to restrain her, but not hit her.

That's what happens when you tell on people.
Seriously, it's not your place to tell the teacher what other students are up to, it is none of your business whatsoever.

Well right about the time she came back for more slaps, hair pulling, and biting (WTF?), I'd use whatever force needed to stop her assault, and then get the police involved. Don't know WTF is up with the biting, but as others have said, bitemarks mark for great forensic evidence.

In a situation like this, there's only one question you can ask yourself:

You win the thread. That clip is awesome.

These events might actually be "the" turn-point for future conflict resolutions.

I think she likes you.

Seriously.
I never ever ever ever ever ever met or heard of her in my life lol
I think it was "Love at first bite".

It's weird, but there are a few girls out there that like to bite. That means she's cheating on her douche of a boyfriend. She sensed his failing health (he smokes cigarettes) as a weakness and decided to choose someone stronger and healthier. Since you didn't react when she pulled and bit you, that made you strong and virile in her eyes.
That is a beautiful piece of BS.

OT: Take the first slap, but then stare her down while defending myself with my own hands. Possibly by restraining her hands in some way - but no hitting back. No reason to do so with the level of threat she was according to the vague description.

After the slap I probably would have stared her down and asked what the hell it was for. If she continued I'd probably strike back. Not bite, just give her a smack or punch in the gut. Proportional retaliation.

Sounds to me like the guy was using his GF in an attempt yo avoid retaliation, I would have WTF!'ed her about the bite but I would have confronted the guy directly when his scapegoat isnt around and asked him why he sent her.

The first slap she would have gotten a warning. The second time I would backhand the shit out of her. I am all for being a man and not striking a woman but there is a line. This would qualify as self defense.

Still, go down swinging, build a reputation, just do something. You have to confront him, even if you ask him why he gets his girlfriend to fight his battles for him. Don't just leave it like it is, you will be known for getting beat up by a girl, trust me, it isn't a good name to have, even if it was because of chivilry.

Sending his Girlfriend to do the dirty work? Thinking you'd not retaliate? He's one man, Ahem.

That guy is a wuss. Let's get that out of the way. I'd just solemnly punch her somewhere. Not the face. And say something witty but not sexist.

"Hey She-*****. Let's go" Couldn't resist. Cookie for Reference.

now Corporal, what are the exact details? Was there a verbal exchange between the slaps and the bitting? did you look at her after the slap(in a menacing way) or did you just avoid looking at her? Did you take any action at all to try to stop her, intimidate her or even reason with her?

In your place i'd have told the guy "you have a problem come do something about it yourself instead of sending your gf ya pansie!"

Getting into a hassle with a girl is more trouble then it's worth, avoid retaliation if you can unless it's really outta control (from the sounds of it you've ignored her thus far, good going) and focus on the main culprit. Gf here is a tool, focus on the one behind her.

Four words: Dodge, Block and Parry.

I make it a point to not hit women if it can be helped (yes, I am still stubbornly trying to keep chivalry from completely flatlining). Deflecting or avoiding the blows works nicely, and I don't get called a douche for dodging and parrying.

She struck first, without provocation. Your mates are there as witnesses. Slap her back and ask why the hell she attacked you. If it turns into a brawl, so be it but you were in the right.
