Should I play Arkham Asylum?

I played the demo forever ago and it didn't grab me but everybody says its amazing and Arkham City is coming out now...

I like to play new games (when I can afford it) so I'll probably end up at least trying it. Should I get Asylum before City?

Considering City takes place after Asylum I would recommend you play it. If you really can't get into it, but still want to play City then I'm sure you could look up a playthrough on youtube or something.

Oh for the love of... Of course you should! It's an all-around fantastic game, a *must play* and one of my personals favourites of all time, i doubt you wouldn't like it, unless you hate fun or something.

Ehhh, I don't know. The game ends with the status quo being restored. Not a lot to continue from. Even the bit after the credits was randomized. So, canonically, you can't really continue from that.

I say you should. It's an all around fantastic game that I think everyone should play.

Of course my taste isn't everypony's. If you didn't like the demo, fair to say you may not like the rest of the game.

Do it. Guaranteed City is likely to run in the same way as Asylum since it's a direct sequel, so chances are if you don't like Asylum you won't like City, and at least Asylum should be pretty cheap to buy or rent now having been out so long :)

Ahh, well you can pick it up for PC in Australia for $15-$20. I'd say it is worth it for that price, no more though. I wasn't a big fan of it, the stealthy bits are good but there are semi-boss brawl fights quite frequently that just annoyed the shit out of me. I never finished it because of these.

Yeah good advice, I'll be getting City in a few years through Steam.

To the point, it's an astounding game. Clue analysis sections could've been a bit more fleshed out but over all, it's fantastic. I give 11 out 10.

its a good stealth game with a combat system that could best be describes as easy to use but difficult to master. if you like stealth games and good story then i would get this game because it is masterfully done

if you dont like stealth games and action games just dont appeal to you then i would pass on it

It is easily my favorite super hero game. It does have its weak points...

Most of which revolves around the much hyped "fight" with Killer Croc. I was just disappointed by it.

If you enjoyed the latest Batman movies or you're just a fan of super heroes and/or action-adventure; you really can't go wrong with Arkham Asylum.

Pretty much what I was going to say, Helmut =) God, when I look at that face all i can think of is "Ja, let's show them vat vee are made of!"

OT: It's a brilliant game. Unique, and well-executed (which is something usually mutually exclusive in the gaming industry). And the challenges will give you great fun. You beat up crowds of people, and stealth sections strike terror into your prey. Nothing else could make you feel more like Batman short of having a cave hideout underneath your mansion full of toys.

Yes, play it. I don't even like Batman and I thought it was a good game. FUCKING NINJA BAT!

Not sure how much you can get it for Console, but steam has it for 30 bucks.
