Should I sell my PS3?

I was in the same situation as you, done with the exclusives in 2 weeks. Decided to keep it though, in case some new games came out. Then sold it 4 months later for about £50 less than if I hadn't waited. So yeah, I recommend selling it. LBP2 is out soonish and that looks good, but it'll just be another 2 weeks of use before it goes inactive again...

Honestly if you are board with the greatest games to have come out in video game history the I see no point for you to have either systems. Sure there are alot of new releases like ICO & Shadow of the Colossus remake and then their new game The Last Gardian, Killzone 3, LBP2, GT5, Resistance 3, and much more but if you cant enjoy all the other games dont wait.

I suppose I should have been a bit clearer. I totally enjoyed U2, MGS and HR. They are brilliant games in their own right. Hack'n'slash isn't really my thing not are racing sims so I guess that scratches God of War and Gran Turismo.

The Shadow of the Colossus I'm literally drooling over but it's a long time to hold out with a system that's gathering dust.

I never thought of the R'n'C series so that's tempting.

Try Uncharted 1 and Killzone 2, then go ahead and sell it.
But don't bother with i7, i5 is JUST AS GOOD and SOMETIMES EVEN BETTER for gaming

The reason I say the i7 is because it uses the X58 chipset, which is what the future Intel 6-core CPUs should be using too.

You should wait a while before you sell it, maybe a game that interests you may come out in a short while. If you are truly bored of the console and games, then by all means sell it.

I'd say keep it. You might regret it later down the road when there's an exclusive you'd like to play.

When it comes to exclusives I wouldn't know, I don't keep up to date with the latest PS3 games anymore.

I am an avid gamer that has owned an Xbox 360 for the last 2 years. About 4 weeks ago I sold my drum kit because I no longer had room for it and invested the money into a PS3 Slim 120GB for a number of reasons:

- I wanted to play the exclusives.
- the Blu-ray player.

...and that's about it.

I would definitely say that I am an Xbox fanboy (not one of the trolling idiot ones). I prefer the controller, the dashboard experience, achievements over trophies and all my gaming buddies are on Live too so I still inted to by all the multi-platforms for that console.

I have played and completed MGS4, Uncharted 2, Heavy Rain and am now playing MAG, Demon's Souls and LBP. I have to say I'm pretty bored of the console and I don't seem to play it all to often. I was thinking of using the funds to upgrade my PC to i7 standards too.

I guess what I'm doing is answering my own question. So what I really should ask from you guys is are they're any exclusives coming out in the future that I may not know about that I should keep my PS3 for? And how much do you think I could get for the PS3 Slim 120GB and the 6 games I've mentioned (in the UK)?

Keep it, because I know that one day I will end up regretting selling it.

Well it depends on how much you can get for your PS3. Theyèr like $300 brand new now. If you have a decent amount of games, that`s probably the most you`ll get these days. You know they`re going to keep pumping the HD collections(Sly Collection, Team Ico Collection, and you know there`s conna be a Ratcher & Clank as well as Jak and Daxter Collections). Plus with Dreamcast games coming to the networks and Microsoft`s limit on how big XBL games can bem there will be some gems there. If that arguement doesn`t convince you, sell the PS3.

I say keep it. You could sell it and gain a bit of money, but that will soon go. If you get rid of it you'll end up regretting it later, best to hold on to it.

Keep it. You wouldn't make enough from selling to justify the kick to the ass you'd give yourself when the next big exclusive came out. Even if the PS3 had a rocky start, it's really come into it's own in the last two years.

I'd say keep it. you'll hate yourself when an exclusive you like comes out and there are a out of all the motion controlled games coming out, the PS3 Move games are the ones that I'm most interested in. Ok its really only that sorcerer game. it looks awesome.

Ummmm, sell it and use the money to buy Starcraft 2 and hookers. Starcraft because its awesome, and hookers because if you play starcraft then you dont have time for a girlfreind!!!

PS3 + PC = Pretty much nothing is unplayable. Outside Halo 3, ODST, Reach, Gears 2, and Forza 2 & 3, there really isn't any true 360 exclusive games. L4D, Crackdown, Fable 2 & 3, Gears 1, Halo 1 & 2, and others are on PC.

I say keep the PS3, get the PC version of your 360 games, and sell the Xbox. The PC versions have better graphics, free DLC (At least Valve game DLC is free on PC, costs money on Live), and most importantly mods. It is the setup I have and there really isn't any game I want to play but can't (besides Star Fox, because I don't have an N64 or SNES).

Then again, I am biased. My laptop didn't have Vista for very long, it got booted out in exchange for Linux. Plus I am not a fan of FPS or cover based (CB)TPS games with no other elements (Uncharted at least has the platform-puzzle bits to water down the tequila that is CBTPS gameplay.
