Thats definatly a problem, the most re used story being Homer and Marge's marital problems which has probably been used as an episode plot at least 30-40 times, and also used in the movie some what. The only problem is now the newer retelling of this story isnt as entertaining or whitty.SomeBritishDude said:That and they just seem to have run out of decent ideas. I've seen many new episodes which just seem to be rehashes of old ones.

Its none of your business, because you are not part of the network that makes decisions about... anything.

hey dont worry about it, we all have to start somewhere, right? go check out Insanum's video, look it up in the searchbar if you have any concerns about this site. he's got it all.Toasted Nuts said:YerFlshrImp said:perhaps you could have made this thread a poll?first thread n all didnt think about it as i was writing.
I call this the Charlie Brown effect. When Peanuts ended at Charles Schultz's death the comic strip had shaped the industry so drastically in it's early days that at it's end in 2000 it had almost become irrelevant. But still, people love Charlie Brown and, maybe even more so, people love The Simpsons.SomeBritishDude said:I suppose one of the main problems with the Simpsons is so many cartoons of that style have grown and evolved from it that it just doesn't have that originality anymore.
South Park has shock value, Family Guy has randomness down, Futurama is clever comedy. What does the Simpsons have that really sets it appart anymore?

I see your point and of course your right things that are on for so long will be less at the forefront, and to be on for such a sustained period the show has to be good.marioman360 said:But still, people love Charlie Brown and, maybe even more so, people love The Simpsons.
Is this making sense to you?

hes only trying to initialize conversation on what people think.
Thats fair enough, we just got the Cleveland show over here and... its painful to watch to be honest.Halaxis said:I'll put it like this. The Simpsons are around because they are GOOD. I rather watch that then the crap Seth MacFarlane put out.
Well Simon Cowell apparently wants to bring the UK singing talent show over to the US the X Factor and he has quit American Idol hasnt he? So ermSyphonX said:Canceled and to be replaced with what, exactly? Another American Idol or Wife Swap-esque time slot?
No thanks. As much as I don't really care for the Simpsons, I'd rather it stay than be replaced by complete trash.
Hear, hear. American Dad is the only thing that keeps me up past 8:30. Even that's starting to wane, because Archer is in town.Halaxis said:I'll put it like this. The Simpsons are around because they are GOOD. I rather watch that then the crap Seth MacFarlane put out.
