LulzSec is a group that cracks sites for the lulz.

Anonymous is a group that hacks sites for the lulz... that grew the hell up when it realized there were things that offended its members and found it more lulzy to be hacktivists rather than simple crackers.

Cracking is not inherently counter to hacktivism. So why would Anonymous care?

Anonymous actually doesn't randomly bring down sites or steal data just for kicks. Quite the opposite,really, they act in accordance to their agenda. Hence why they bother to launch blah blah blah blah blah
