I'm rather happy like that. I live in a time where I don't have to hunt or grow my own food. I don't even have to cook if I don't want to. The closest I get to the wilderness is the edge of a forest, a nature trail, or swimming in a lake. And I don't have anyone that I need to fight against and have a home that I can use to avoid the elements.Topsider said:This is a man who's never been through SERE.Saltyk said:In the event of a global apocalypse that kills 90% of the population, I plan to die. I've run the numbers. Odds are that I'm part of the 90%. Even if I am part of the 10% that lives, we'll all probably die slowly. My odds of survival for more than a week are slim at best. So why fight it?
Basically, I have no plan. I'll wing it. But that whole dying plan will probably be my go to strategy.
So, no, I haven't been through any type of survival course, much less a military one. I don't need to.
So, realistically speaking, if shit hits the fan, I and the majority of others will likely die. Even those who are prepared would likely be killed as well. So, if I'm likely to die no matter what, why pretend otherwise?
