I've got this guy in my class who's obsessed with youtube/shows he watches off the internet.

So I'm having a conversation with one of my friends and he overhears something. Then he starts to relate this to one of his retarded shows like Family Guy, Simpsons or whatever childish tv show you can think of (no offense to the shows, here's my point:) He does this in such an obnoxious manner (read: absolutely not funny) that I get extremely annoyed by him and whatever show he's quoting to try and sound funny.

Do any of you have friends, partners, siblings etc who have an unhealthy infatuation with something?
My partner is obsessed with The Joker from The Dark Knight and to be honest, it's annoying me now. It's completely fine to like him, but when you're constantly quoting him, acting like him and doing the mannerisms, that's taking it a bit too far.

So, I ask you; Do you know anyone who drives you up the wall with their obsessions?
I didn't read the rest of the thread, and I'm SURE I'm not the first one to say this but

"Why so serious?"

edit: amazing, I was.

I was serious about the question though.

What I hate: people who obsess about Naruto.
I won't shut up about Watchmen.
Oh, god, Narutards. I fucking hate them.

Anyway, I have no problem with anime Otaku's thmselves, which is good, 'cause I have an anime Otaku for a friend (the whole deal, taught himself Japanese, sub's anime's for people like me who don't speak japanese, Hardcore cosplays (makes his own costumes, etc), all of it). It's a little weird sometimes, but, personally, I think it's mostly cool... until he started missing school when I was still in High-School so he could catch up on anime he had missed. Then it was a problem.

As for myself, well... I know I have some kind of real obsession (as in, not any of my many mini, OCD created one's). Can't think, too tired.

And as for the "Watchmen" bit, well, "Watchmen" is awesome, so it's alright.

My friends are obsessed with Warhammer 40K. I am so god damn tired of hearing about what attacks pierce armor, and whether their stats are good enough to withstand a tank shell to the face.

I HATE anyone who mentions the Joker from the black knight.
Yes, the movie was good and his acting was pretty good as well.
However, I do not want to see the joker, hear the joker, be aware of the goddman joker anywhere outside this movie.
Shut the fuck up.

Also, I have an obsession with Team Fortress 2 I believe...
I often quote/imitate characters from the game, draw the characters from the game, and sometimes talk about Team Fortress 2 with my friends... who sadly don't have team fortress 2.

Well Twilight has started to bring me great amounts of annoyance since three people I know are trying to convince me to read the book and watch the movie. Like that's gonna happen.

My mum is really obsessed with CSI. I mean I like it to the point but I've watched it with her so many times I know what happens within five minutes (CSI: Las Vegas only from before season five, CSI Miami only before season four and CSI New York only before season four....i think). It is really freaking annoying.

I'm obsessed with Veronica Mars, Supernatural and House. I've seen them all like four/five (all seasons I have...so all except the new ones). But even I don't talk about them constantly...I only quote them on occasion.

90% of males I know: xbox live
The other 10% are obsessed with kicking each other in.

90% of females I know: Twilight
Vampires do not, and never will fucking sparkle, but try telling that to a fangirl.

I have a friend (questionably one of the more intelligent of my mates) that is thoroughly obsessed with anything Disney which at nearly 17 is a little sad as he plans on entering law, the CONSTANT quoting from the entire disney back-catalogue of movies drives me crazy.

People who MacAttack me. For those of you who don't know, this is when a Mac user tries to convert a PC user by going through all the things he considers to be better about Macs. It would probably work on some people if they didn't act like such pompous pricks when they did it.

Also, I know people obsessed with one or more of the following:

Twilight - I have a severe hatred for cliche vampire romance.

Harry Potter - This one got pretty bad, I went to meet a friend at the movies to see The Prisoner of Azkaban. She showed up in full Slytherin robes and and a witch's hat.

Johnny Depp - Now I've got no problem with him, he's done some good movies, what I hate is people obsessed with him going on about what a spectacular actor he is, and citing Jack Sparrow as a difficult role. It was not a difficult role. The man acted drunk and a little bit gay. That's it.

Then there's also the people who still quote movies like Borat and The Dark Knight. It makes me want to claw my ears off.

Yeah, but The Dark Knight is came out quite a bit more recently then Borat, not saying that makes it OK. But... [sup] I will let you but your own reason here, 'cause I can't think of one [/sup]

one of my friends has a crush on someone and whenever theres the slightest possibility if him being there (e.g his friends are there without him) she will spend the rest of the time searching for him and then be angry that he wasn't there even if he never said he would be in the first place.

Right now all the people in my class sing extracts of the shittiest, most repetitive songs on the radio, which drives me nuts. Oh! And FACEBOOK, BEBO and MYSPACE! EVERYONE keeps asking me if I'm on them, to which I reply "No, I go on good sites". They're always talking about the bloody places...

I don't want to sound like a bigot because I'm an atheist, but I've had more of my fare share of fundamentalist Christians with a mandate to evangelize whenever they can.
