Sick of MovieBob Bashing Call of Duty?

Am I the only one getting tired of hearing MovieBob constantly bash the Call of Duty franchise? After reading his latest post on his blog, it?s become extremely apparent that he?s simply looking for any excuse to take pot-shots at the games. Apparently anything that shows the military in a positive light doesn?t sit well with Bob. What is really ironic is that Bob has stated before that games need to have political controversy, and not be judged negatively for it if the medium is to grow. Yet Call of Duty comes along and might have a political message (we know for sure until the game is actually released) and Bob is trying to crucify the game because it doesn?t agree with his viewpoints and opinions. What?s the message that Bob is trying to get across? That it?s okay to have a political message only if MovieBob agrees with it?

No, I am just tired of him bitching about FPS in general. I mean really? Bitching about the Metroid Prime series pretty much only because of the damn viewpoint? Lets ignore the fact it plays nothing like typical FPS games at the time and does nothing to attract the "typical" FPS crowd.

a) don't care about CoD

Movie Bob will make the odd inaccurate statement or generalization, but he'll normally step back and at least acknowledge his biases and the redeeming points of CoD, which is way more than most content-makers and fans will do.

That being said, all I ever hear about gaming irl is how great CoD is, so it's so refreshing to me to hear hate spouted for it. Of course, I can see why fans who aren't single minded idiots are offended getting lumped together like that, but really... Get over it, you've definitely done it about some other game. I don't care when people rag on Final Fantasy, after all, I rag on Halo (or should I say - GAY LO HAH HAH HAH) all the time.

Moviebob is a great troll, judging by how many people actually fall for it. Not nearly as much lately as he used to reel in, but still a pretty good amount for being a fixture somewhere.

I'm sick of pretty much this entire site bashing on Call of Duty. Some people just like feeling that their own personal taste is the "right one" and other people's are "wrong", and therefore they can be judgemental. It's the way of the internet. I don't care. I stopped listening to Moviebob's hipster rants a long time ago. I have more fun playing the games than I'm sure he does bashing them.
