Alright... so it's officially happened...

In Borderlands, I've found the same gun twice... not the quest reward guns or guns the bosses drop, I'm talking about a randomly generated rare weapon. I've officially found it twice in the same game. It's called the "Terrible Bulldog" and it's a shotgun with red text that reads "a very BAD dog".

Anyone else find identical weapons yet? What are some other signs you've been spending too much time on Pandora?

When you start yelling "I'm dancin', I'm dancin'!" at innocent passers by in the street, only to be chased by the police. Then you look down at yourself and realise you are wearing nothing but a homemade cardboard clap-trap suit...

Apart from trolling Star Wars conventions in a clap trap suit, it's a sign that nature wants you 'out of the pool' if that's happening.

As for the OP, yes, you will find that exact same shotgun EVERYWHERE. It may be 'rare' but on your second playthrough almost every bad guy drops the same(ish) level of weapons, so the odds aren't as crazy as you think. Especially for such a generic weapon.

When your battle cry is "STRIP THE FLESH! SALT THE WOUNDS!!!" and then you start giggling softly in a corner wondering why your midget friend isn't there.

I've definitely found other rare weapon types but this one had a unique name and the fact that I found it twice in the same play through was pretty disturbing. It doesn't happen often outside of the Eridian guns (is it just me or are there only like, 4 of those things?)

Another one would be if you started to develop an accent like Scooter... "C'mon now this is where cars live. Catch a RIIIIIDE!"

When you start imagining the people around you exploding into red gooey bits because you crit. shot them in the head with your ubber magnum that does a grand of damage.

Oh, and when you've found a Tediore gun the regenerates ammo for every single gun type in the game.

He didn't get the reference as it turns out.

I find it high-larious that he once said that when i was buying a jacobs "plywood sniper" from the store. FOR THE LOLZ.

"If it took more than one shot, you weren't using a jacobs!"

"Vladof! You don't need to be more accurate, you just need to shoot more bullets!"

"Hyperion asks. What good is a gun that doesn't shoot where you point it? Get a gun thats as accurate as you are!"

"Tired of shooting the same old bullets? Buy a Maliwan! And light some people on fire!"

"The S&S philosophy is! Tech + ammo capacity = I win!"

"Buy an Atlas! And feel whats its like to hold the power of the Gods in your hands!"

"Dahl guns absorb a lot of recoil, letting you stay accurate throughout the fight!"

And yes, i have all but two memorized. Tediore is just a boring thing anyways... something about high fire rates and fast reload. And torque is something about a lethal weapon. And did anyone else notice that a company by the name of Anshyn makes class mods, but nothing else?

Torgue is the one I just said. It's refering to their competitor, Jakobs.

Yeah, i love Jakobs though, awesome guns. especially their revolvers. I get a hard-on for a good revolver in borderlands.

There's another one...

"Maliwan guns shoot more lightning than the next leading competitor!"

Hahah yeah they're awesome... I've got a 330 damage 4x corrosive Pestilent Defiler, as I'm on my first play through. It just eats Crimson Lance soldiers... If it only had a scope and more than a 2 round clip it would be the perfect gun!

If found 3 Volcanos so far, in 5 Minutes and 4 chests. I was very confused.

The sign I played to much of it: Bought Modern Warfare 2, loved the first one. Have it for about two weeks and didn't even start to play it. So busy with Borderlands.

Yeah I've found a few of those as well, but they haven't been completely identical. I believe one was a blue volcano, and another was a GGN 9 volcano or something similar.

I've just downloaded the DLC for it, beat it on both playthroughs with the Soldier, am approaching the end with the Hunter, and I have a lvl 20 Brick and a lvl 5 Siren, though I doubt I will finish the game with the Siren, I just don't like her play style.

After completing the game 8 times, memorising all the manufacturer slogans, all special weapon one liners, every scavenger weapon location, most of the recordings scattered on Pandora and the one liners thrown after a critical hit kill, I decided it was time to statr playing Dragon Age for a change.

Mind you, I still went back for more. Total playtime across all characters mounts close to 300 hours. And the game hasn't been out for all that long. Scary.
