As interesting as the concept of feeling out your personality and constructing the most horrifying experience accordingly is, I can't help but wonder if a questionaire was indeed the best way to start it off.
Also, am I the only one severely disappointed by the new Otherworld? They drop the unpleasant blood-stained curtains, rusty gratings, fleshy tenrils, and pseudo-demonic beasts in the background doing all kinds of disturbing things for... ice?
Granted, Silent Hill 3 is the only game in the series I've played, I'm my interest in the series doesn't run particularly deep, but I can't help but raise my eyebrow to this "ice" decision.
Going back to the questionaire, though I can't help but find it an odd approach, at least it is something a bit different. I'd rather the game rely exclusively on examining player activity to conjure the best ways to scare the piss out of them (because that's a damn good idea and I commend the designers for approaching this game in such a way, though not to the extent I'd like), but being that this is the Wii, I suppose there's only so much you can do with the directing A.I. considering the Wii's technical restraints.
I look forward to seeing how this turns out.
