Ok, so it looks like the game won't always be played in the dark, and that there will be a puzzle involving dissecting a frog. Oh, and it looks like we're going to have blood, at least a little bit, check out that screenshot where the bear is laying on the table, the walls are red with blood.

Not part of the series but I will buy it anyway because it interests me.

I have no problem with developers creating original stories using the Silent Hill backdrop.

It is when they attempt to pass these off as part of the series I have a problem (see Homecoming, Origins).

Luckily, these guys have not attempted to do that.

They could have just called it Shattered memories and made it it's own game because it resembles Silent Hill so little with the whole 'Winter Wonderland' theme.

I agree with this wholeheartedly. I am tired of games being shoved into franchises they barely resemble (like World of Warcraft being shoved in as a MMORPG in a series that, until that point, was ALL real time strategy). I am also tired of series outstaying their welcome and becoming progressively worse.

Regarding the "winter wonderland", it was snowing in the first Silent Hill game.

My mistake I've never played the first one so I didn't know, I thought it had the same ever-present fog as SH2.
