Eric looked for a second way out of the bathroom, just in case.

He kept shifting the way he was holding his bag, to disguise the fact a rat was eating a cookie in it.
we are not in the bathroom. Your encounter took place outside the door. She stuck me as i came out of the door. FYI
Correction, YOU left the bathroom. I, however, stayed behind to steal the rat.

Erics heart stopped at her rat comment, but fear kept him walking.

Exiting the building, he walked over to the "creek".

"I think I saw Robert with a match. Got any more?"

"Crowbar guy said he was collecting wood to start a fire. . . I guess i can use the tomahawk to chop some branches if any of you guys have a flint stone or lighter. . ."

Robert's hand played around the cut on his neck, smearing the blood onto his fingers.

"It's just a little cut, i have two more matches, but i think it would be best if we found a flint rock. I mean, the match is best left as a fall back mechanism." Robert unscrewed the compass on the handle of his survival knife and peered at the contents.

He refitted the compass, and decided to make a make shift bandage from the sleeve of his shirt, tying it just tight enough about his neck to stop the bleeding with out being a discomfort.

Randy takes the knife out of his backpack

"I can cut up some branch with my knife, the military designed it to cut and hack through thick stuff"

Randy sets his backpack on the ground

"Glad I can stop lugging that around for a littlebit"

He then takes off his gas mask

"Whooo that was stuffy. You guys might want to do the same, helps to conserve the filter."

Robert lifted his gas mask, uncovering his face but still keeping it on his head. He walked into the forest, loosening up his right shoulder, and testing the weight of the tomahawk.

Robert cuts off a few dry thin branches, before he starts to hack into the slightly thicker ones. He works for about thirty minutes before coming back with a big stack of branches tied together by his rope.

"Hey guys we don't really know what else is out there. There could be animals in here for all we know. Mabe we should tie our bags together, and pull them up a tree so that way when we sleep, animals can't get them."

"I don't know, do we have to stay the night? That voice wasn't clear."

Eric took a cookie out of the bag in the side pocket of his bigger bag, and munched on it.

"Want a cookie?"

He looked at Robert and Randy.

"My bag doesn't have any food in it. I think it's Eric's bag we need to worry about."

Robert took a cookie, looked it over real quick and popped it in his mouth "Thanks, here's that fire wood. We will need some tinder to get it started, and some rocks for the fire pit."

Randy takes a cookie

"Thanks."

Randy takes his knife and starts slicing the wook, making a small pile of tinder shaving

"I guess your right about the bags. The voice said we need to survive for twenty four hours so, we should probably get some sleep, but in shifts, we need to watch out for that crazy chick and for anything else out here we don't know about."

Eric suddenly looked panicked.

"No, no, I don't think we should hang my bag up. I'll just keep my stuff somewhere safe."

Robert, bored with the simple preparations, decided to get some practice with his tomahawk. He picked out a medium sized tree, stood about thirty feet away, and started to throw the Tomahawk trying to get it stuck in the tree. As he slowly got used to its weight, he got it to stick more and more, until he was able to burry most of the axes head into the center of the tree with every shot.

Randy had a nice little pile of tinder ready. He soon put some wood ontop of the pile and encircled the wood with stones.

"Okay" he called out "What should we do now?"

Eric had calmed down by now, and looked at the unlit fire spot.

"We light it, and then we cook some beans and boil some water to drink."

Robert came back from his tomahawking, and sat next to the two of them.

"We make the beans first, then we clean the cans in the river. Next we use the cans to boil the water, drink it, boil the bottles, then we boil river water and use that to fill the bottles. Done and Done."
