you know what? I'm mad
I'm mad that we even have to say that, that its not painfully obvious, or an accepted fact
some time ago there always seemed to be some kind of "doomsday" thing in regards to games, somthing that was going to make it all come crashing down weather it was DRM,PC gaming dying, dumbing down, casual games, the publishers or whatever
now this on the other hand, this actually concerns me....all that other bullshit I may not like but to be honest with myself I would adapt, I could begrudgingly deal with it
this though....this would single handedly kill gaming for me
this THING with being "connected" facebook..twitter...all that bullshit, this obsession with multilayer
playing with strangers I don;t like, for obvious reasons like as Jim , said I dont want to have to worry about wane_ker238 jumping around and teabgging NPC's while I'm trying to listen to the NPC's and actually give a crap about the story....I don't want to have to worry about wane_ker238 running off or shooting me
on the flipside Ive also met some nice people online...but I dont like being "responsible" for the other persons enjoyment, I don't like the added pressure to not suck, and I dont game to have awkward social interaction, you could say "who cares? you dont have to meet them again" <-but thats just not how I roll
and palying with friends? well see heres the thing and perhaps the root of my argument....I don't have any friends
because of that it feels like the industry doesnt like me....like the industry is making me "left out" of my own godamn interest, the industry has become the popular kids with their iphones, their facebook...and I can't sit at their table, and that kind of hurts in a way
I know this is far from true thease days...its just a trend I find genuinly worrying
and can I also stress that just because a game includes co-op as an option does NOT mean the single will suck because of said co-op....just compare Borderlands 1 to Borderlands 2 (the latter being a good game without another person
overall if you want to summary just replace "lemmons" with multiplayer and "life" with "games industry"
