Malus walked through the new headquarters, bored. He watched the young accolades going through there training.

"Futile. . ." He said as he watched one of the younger hopefuls show restraint. "Master must know about this weakness."

He walked on passing troops and officers.

Would the Master's new accolade try for my position? Should i deal with the problem preemptively?

He remembered his Master's last teachings.

Darth Corruptus exits a room and walks beside his Apprentice.

"Your thoughts are not at ease. I can feel your conflict. It is good you remind yourself of my teachings. They may save your life."

They continued walking in silence for a moment, Malus knew a response wasn't required, and so, remained quiet. After a little while, Corruptus broke the silence again.

"Do you know, my Apprentice, that there is treacherous talk in these corridors? What do you think? What do you say to the knowledge that the thoughts of some may be the beginnings of a a train of thought that may lead to betrayal?"

Commander Zariel was sitting in a room he had found in the Jedi base. He was alone.

He had been waiting for a while, but that was to be expected. After all, he hadn't told his troopers where to find him after they had carried out their orders. Ever cautious, he thought that there were spies among Corruptus' army. This was a way to prevent them spying on him so easily.

At last the door to the room opened, and one of his troopers entered. He looked around, and noticed Zariel, who didn't bother turning. His trooper would speak first.

"Commander, we carried out your order. They have been taken beck to your ship."

"How many?"

"We got four young ones. Three from here, and we found another one wandering around in the ruined village."

Zariel nodded. "You have fulfilled your duties for now. Report back to me later."

The door closed. Four young ones huh? Well, it's more then I anticipated.

He got up, turned, and left the room.

"Betrayal is the way of the sith, Master. I would not be surprised if the Acolytes already had plans to gain power." He pulled his hood back over his face and folded his arms in his robe.

"As for thoughts of betrayal, i would assume you were able to catch on those the second the thoughts formed."

"You know, not always do these thoughts require actions or a response. Sometimes they are the natural evolution of loyalty. After all, you seek to protect your master, but in doing so, you actually harm him. If he knows you are loyal only to him, and not to yourself, he will grow complacent, not expecting betrayal because his apprentice is complacent himself."

"And why should we trust you would not betray my Master?" Malus looked at the old sith with his intense violet eyes. "After all, you are a Sith, and we seek power."

"And trust breeds complacency. Did you not just get done saying that?" He gave a sinister grin as if he had the sith lord in a little trap. "The ultimate Betrayal, no?"

"We were raised as siblings, trained in the same skills, by the same men, and fought side by side for over a decade before you were born. His thoughts are as transparent to me, and vice versa, as yours are to him. Keep that in your mind as well, young apprentice."

Malus gave a deep bow and swept an arm across his stomach, "Oh yes great master. Forgive my inability at seeing your inane banter as a proper reason not to suspect you of a sith's inherent knack for betrayal."

With that Malus exited and headed towards his chambers.

"You know, Volitus, that would be a good point... if the same couldn't be said about myself and Athrix - who, if you'll remember, struck me and left me for dead at the beginning of the war."

He watched his Apprentice go, torn between two thoughts: the thought that he had not dismissed Malus, and pride at Malus' growing maturity and restraint.

"I think he might have heard what you said about burning out in short order. He is definitely making strides in using good judegment, not letting that temper of his get the best of him before he has time to think."

"Well then Greg, my name is Rez Tereth. We will begin training tomorrow. I need to tend to my injuries today. You're dismissed."

"Our Lord will be pleased."

Obviously a response that the boy had learned simply from years of exposure to the way Corruptus' favored subjects talked about him. He bowed and left the room.

Nobody post yet, the next slot is for Spade Lead. I'm waiting on one response from him so I can do something.

"I believe your feelings betray you. He is internalizing his anger, not releasing it. His new path will harm him more than his old."

"And before you say anything, we WERE different at that age. We had self-control already in place. But look at what happened to my apprentice when I allowed my feelings to cloud my judgment. I still have not taken another apprentice, even as the time for me to have done so draws near. I keep fearing that I will make the same mistake all over again, or that somehow I cannot stop it from happening again, despite my newfound knowledge. I recognize your place, and where you are, because I have walked that path before. Watch him, lest he self-destruct as my apprentice did."

Casually strolling through the grounds, Darth Volitus guided his friends thoughts onto another path, one they found mutually enjoyable.

"Enough of that, I actually came to discuss our next attack with you. My spies have found a secret enclave of Jedi on Harkona, a little backwater planet deep in the borderlands of the Unknown Regions. But I know you have plans of your own, so if you want to send me elsewhere, I will understand. As I said, I no longer seek the kind of power you do, mine is a much more personal power, and I have already achieved it. Immortality is a blessing and a curse, you know. So where are we headed next?"

"Hahaha. I meant that he is learning self control, learning to think before he acts. It is progress. And actually, I think this should answer your question."

He emphasized the word "this" and nodded, indicating an aide trotting toward them.

"My Lord, Ergeron has made contact."

"Very good. Thank you."

Together, the two Sith proceeded to the nearest holopad, which automatically activated as they approached. The form in the hologram was that of the heavily armored body of a Mandalorian bounty hunter.

"Ergeron, good to see you. Have you found the Jedi hiding on Naboo?"

"Yes My Lord. Infiltrating their compound was no easy task. My sources have, however, listened around and gathered intelligence. The Jedis are worried, My Lord, news of your deeds have reached even here. I suspect you won't be able to take them by surprise as you did on Dantooine."

Despite his death-defyiance, Ergeron couldn't help feeling nervous, thinking about what the man on the other side of the comlink was capable of. At the same time he felt anticipation, knowing that the battle ahead would be his greatest challenge as of yet.
A battle any Mandalorian could feel pride being a part of.

He let out a small chuckle before he added:
"All the better for us..."

If anyone is confused about who I am, this is my sheet:
Character Name:Ergeron (Mandalorian)

Age: 32

Appearance: He is mostly encased in his battle suit, but whenever he takes the helmet off he is said to have short brown hair and a very serious look on his face. He has the look of a man who has seen entire worlds burn.

Equipment: He wears a heavyily modified battle suit, as well as a protective personal shield (it can deflect a strike from a vibro blade or a blast from a weak laserpistol, but wouldn't hold at all against a lightsabre.). His primary weapon is a repeating wrist mounted laser, but he is also known to use gas, flamethrower, grenades, a kinetic blaster, and if the mission requires it: mines and sniper-rifles.

Background: Ergeron grew up on Coruscant, his father was a bounty hunter before him. As he grew up his father taught him the art of assassination and battle, aswell as the ways of a Mandalorian. When his father was killed by a jedi on a high risk mission Ergeron didn't hesitate to take his place. Now he is a gun for hire and takes special pleasure in killing Jedis. He dislike restrictions and like to carry out missions his own way. On the other hand he is willing to take any contract, and always fullfills it.

"Excellent!" Darth Volitus replied. "You are indeed prepared more than I expected. I had dismissed those rumors of a Jedi Enclave on Naboo because I had wiped out a previous nest of them there. Either there were two such enclaves, or they established a new one. Make them regret either fact, Lord Corruptus. I stand at your side, ready for your command!"

"That does answer your question, then," Corruptus replied with a smile on his face. "Good work, Ergeron. Stay under cover until we arrive."

He took out a com link and opened it to Malus' channel.

"Rally our forces, Malus. The moment we are ready, we proceed to Naboo."

Malus' voice boomed through out the compound.

"All those who wish for more Jedi blood meet me in the hanger. The sith ride to naboo"

He let the intercom fall dead with a line of static and made his way to the hanger.

A grin spread across his face like a sharks. His hands twitched in anticipation.

"I'll be the first Sith Zabrak to leave Naboo alive! Hell, the first Sith to conquer it!"

Jedamethis cocked his head.
"Jedi blood? Sweet!"
He jogged to the hangar to see who else would come
