When and why have any of you skipped class?

Edit: I skip class when I want to hang out with friends, mostly if I have Italien. I'm curently learning Italien, German and French. Italien doesn't count into my gpa, so basicly I have a class I can't fail.

I've never actually skipped class before but I have faked sick a few times which if you think about it is skipping all my classes.

The only time I skip class is when I'm just too freaking tired to bring myself to go to school. It's been particularly hard this semester, as I've had to deal with the dreaded 8:30 class. *Shutters* - never again

I never skipped class.

I mean what the hell was I going to do while skipping. At least I do something productive in class.

in high school? once. and a couple of times I half faked being ill when I probably should've gone to school.
at uni, I skipped once because it was 7 in the morning when I had to get up and I was with my girlfriend so I just stayed in bed. and once when I was really tired and had to get up at 6.

also, bleachigo, your ava is REALLY distracting and annoying...

When I was in school I skipped classes for whatever reason possible, including wanting to get a drink with friends and not being in the mood to stay indoors. It was no big deal as long as I did the work, turned in the assignments, knew the stuff, got the grades.

I only skip class to hang out with friends... or if I have to wait 1 hour till class starts.

Some friends and I used to discuss all day long wether we'd go to class or not. We ended up skipping a lot.

Later in university it was a lot more strict, at least in my major subject, so I couldn't skip as much as I wanted.

Why I skipped? Because classes were boring, obviously. Isn't that the reason for 90% of those who do so?

I'll do for the first time in 10 minutes.
I think I studied a bit too much before and now I don't have the energy. It's not only school, I do nothing but what it takes to keep me from getting bored.

I skipped a few days of my Economics class that I took last Fall because I already knew what was being taught.

I've only skipped 1 lesson to go Christmas shopping with the guys as they had a free lesson that afternoon. I was then rung up by a friend who invited me to see Sonata Arctica at the Islington Academy that night, but only if I hurried there as it started it an hour and a half. That was a good night.

Lesson learned: Skipping school is good for you.

I've technically been skipping class since October of last year. I'm not sick (I never get sick anymore) but I just refuse to go. I am quite notorious for my horrid attendance record. Since about grade 6 (age 11) out of the roughly 180 days in a school year, I usually missed atleast 50 days.

This is mainly because, once I miss a day for whatever reason, I wouldn't want to go back. When I'm away I usually miss a week at a time, but a month wasn't unheard of.

As of March, I've been home schooling, which is Five months I was skipping.

The reason is supposedly being depression. I say supposedly because I know for a fact I've used it as an excuse to not leave my house and because I don't like school. So, basically in the same boat as Furburt.
