You are in texas.

Hop in the car, drive up to Carson City NV, spend an evening at the bunny ranch, then come home and get treatment for syphillis.

SEEZE THE DAY

Several of my peers and friends skip VERY often. Some people have as many as 20 absences in just a single semester. Yet they are all on track to graduate, because of the several make up programs our school offers.
Wow, compared to your school, our school is really strict on absences. 9 in one trimester and you fail, no exceptions. 'Excused' absences (doctor appointments, funerals, ect.) don't count toward those 9.

I'm not really sure what to suggest. My only advice would be not to TRY to spend all of that $250 just because you want to have a good time. If your fun isn't dependent on money (which is really shouldn't be), then don't spend it. Don't be all like "this is supposed to be, liek, teh best day evar, ima spend all muh cash-moneyz!"

But fuck people, can we hold off on the life advice please? It's one fucking day, and it's near the end of the year when it's all review. You are acting like he's throwing his life away or something. I highly doubt any college is going to cross his name off because of one day of missed school, especially since they probably won't bother to look up, or have access to, the details as to why he wasn't at school for one day.

I occasionally "skip" school, although it's not a "woooo skip school and party" kind of thing. There are sometimes just days where I'm really tired and want a break from the overwhelming atmosphere school sometimes creates. I usually just sleep. Most of the time I just go in late. My schedule is mostly good for that, as the first half of my day consists of band classes, where my absence usually isn't that big of a deal and there's no homework, quizes, tests or anything. And I usually stay conscious of what's going on and make sure I'm there during, for example, the week before an upcoming performance.

Plus there's the occasional "I'm doing nothing in all of my classes and there's no reason for me to be there" skip. Like when 80% of the classes paid to go to Washington DC, 3 of the days they were there landed on school days. During those days, we were going to watch movies and generally do nothing. I didn't go.

You could take your friend's dad's ridiculously expensive car, drive it to downtown Chicago, eat lunch in a fancy restaurant pretending to be the "Sausage King of Chicago", have multiple run-ins with your parents who think you're sick, sing "Twist and Shout" in a street parade, avoid the school principle who's trying to catch you, and race your sister home who is trying to expose you as well home after wrecking said expensive car by kicking it in reverse and having it fall out of the back glass wall of the garage. Oh, and make sure you make the last jump over the fence a slo-mo one, for added effect. It'll be perfect.
I love that movie.

This has made me mad.
I can't say I'm mad at all those people who are going to graduate with the same diploma as I am though.
No, I'm mad at myself.
I'm mad at myself for never just taking a day off and seizing the day.

So, before I graduate I want to skip at least once.
I have a truck, my parent's approval, some friends to tag along, and about $250.
However, being a stereotypical nerd I have no idea on how to spend a day off.

Anyone have any general ideas on what I could do?
Do something fun, come back broke.
Buy some games or a system, have fun, end up broke.
Save a little more, go to PAX, have lots of fun, come back in debt. <-- Personal Recommendation

Excuse me, please ignore everything I said and listen to this genius.

I didn't really skip entire days, but I would skip classes when it was convenient to me. Depending on what frees I had, I'd just skip some classes and make it an awesome day. But I made sure that I went to enough classes to make it count. Hehehehe.

And now I'm accepted to university.

Skipping school was one of my specialties. Get drunk, get stoned, go to the movies, have a videogame session in a secret location, drive out of town to somewhere you've never been before, go to the beach, pile into your friends houses, make some noise, start a band. The possibilities are endless, use your imagination.

I usually skip geography and Spanish literature if it's the last class on Friday.

Simple reason - I hate geography, I think it's boring as hell, I have a D and I don't plan on improving that grade, because I don't care about it.

Yeah, I skip about ten days a semester, and I dont mind either. Sometimes you need a few to yourself. As for me, I just sleep.

Marijuana is required. Lots of marijuana.
I second this notion.

Lots of marijuana. With 250 bucks you're quite set though. Buy some pizza and watch Harold & Kumar, How High, etc. etc.

Or, alternatively, go to a strip joint.

My Teachers like me and nobody tries to tease me, why skip?
School is an important part of your life, you need to make sure to show up as much as possible. If you miss the bus, do what I do: Walk. Not going because you missed the bus is a shit excuse, just walk the 3 miles and get your education. Also, I'm probably the only 13 year old to ever say that.
I'm 15 and I guess I agree with you, I was once sent home because I was sick and refused to go.

Rather don't skip, but if you do, relax.

If you're a stereotypical nerd then do what I do when I have free time. PLAY LOTS AND LOTS OF MTG AT YOUR LOCAL HOBBY SHOP.
