Thank you, that is very helpful, and it's also nice to see that only MightyBill is the only one on this thread that's decided to be as unhelpful as possible.

Yes, it is quite irritating. If MightyBill really wanted to be helpful he'd point out a vampire lair that I could reach within an hour tops of leaving the tutorial area, but a this point I'm wondering if I should report him as a you-know-what.
Well, there's a vampire lair called Bloodlet Throne, up in the mountains from Falkreath. but that wasn't really the question you asked.
*cough cough*

Here's the best answer you're going to get, OP, and it took me about ten seconds on Google:

Also, article at this link: http://videogamewriters.com/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-has-xbox-exclusive-dlc-same-sex-marriage-and-vampires-21971

So yeah, your 'I tried Googling it' comment holds no sway here...
Not to burst your bubble, that's pretty clearly Morrowind...

That would be Morrowind.

Sidenote: any way to skip the intro when Alduin attacks? I want a new character but I really cant be bothered to go though it again.

That's the guy's point; Argonian vamps used to look like that. If anyone has any actual screenshots it would answer the question- a brief google search I just did turned up none.

Of course the best answer is to get vampirism and then reload. And I'm sure there'll be a quest to heal yourself like in Oblivion anyway if you decide really don't like it after a period of time. And when you're first-person most of the time, does it really matter all that much?

Uh, the article doesn't answer my question in the least.

I posted that just before you finally decided to be helpful, and I shouldn't have really needed ask that specifically, if you are going to suggest something like that save and let youself be infected and load if you don't like it thing you did earlier, it would make sense to provide me with a fast and easy means of following that suggestion. Even if I find a vampire lair to be infected in, I'm going to wait until I get a decent sneak and lockpick skill so I can more easily feed before bothering, which would mean I would have probably at least a day or so before I would try if I decided to become a vampire, and if I didn't the extra skill wouldn't hurt.

THANK YOU!!!! Finally! I guess this means I'll become a vampire then, it looks excellent, in fact, exactly what I would want an Argonian Vampire to look.

IT'S LIKE TIME TRAVEL MAGIC.
My response vanished, I'll do it again...

I've already addressed this, I have just started Skyrim and I'll probably won't be able to become either a vampire or a werewolf probably for at least a dozen hours, so experimenting is out for a while, and I rather have the answer sooner than later anyway.
oh, I'm sorry, let me rephrase it.

Dude, wait until you get to a point where you can become a vampire.
now make a save file,
then get vampirism
If you don't like vampirism, reload the save file and then don't get it.
IT'S LIKE TIME TRAVEL MAGIC.

Let's see, how can I explain this any more plainly and obviously to you than I already have? Wait... I know! I'll put it in all caps!

IT WILL BE HOURS BEFORE I CAN DO WHAT YOU SUGGEST!!!! I CAN EVENTUALLY DO SO, BUT I'D RATHER HAVE THE ANSWER TO MY QUESTION RIGHT NOW!!!!

the game has just been out. the chance that someone plays Argonian and decides to become a vampire AND decides to post it online AND decides to post it on the escapist site/or the one being on the escapist is very, very, very, very, very slim.

so the best answer would be to do like TheMightyBill said and wait until you get the chance to transform. its better than writing things in capslock like a impatient child.
First, I just got my answer:

Second, I knew the odds of getting my answer anytime soon were pretty unlikely, but I also knew that it would be awhile before I was in a position to become either a Vampire or Werewolf, so, what did I have to lose? I was just covering all my bases.

I just gotta ask, would you have been an Argonian anyway even if they did look stupid as vampires?

My argonian contracted the disease, and I freaked out and got it cured right away, because I did not want to deal with more crap.

That's boring, if you do that then there are never consequences to your actions so you don't have to think about what you do, which makes it boring as hell

Yes, I would have chosen to be a werewolf instead.

Then... I have to say the chap earlier in the thread was right. Why not just play your Argonian and contract the disease. If you didn't like the way it looked you could have just restored from an earlier file or complete the inevitable 'Vampirism Cure' quest.

EDIT: We all play differently, but surely this is one of those games where experimenting is just the done thing.

I save scum in Bethesa games all the time, in fact I always save immediately before every crime I've ever committed, so I can load afterwards. I don't find it particularly boring but even if I did I would rather be bored than frustrated by failure after failure, or constantly regretting an action I made.

It's because I'd rather know the answer sooner than later, and since it would be hours if not days before I'd get around to becoming either a vampire or werewolf, I'm just trying to save myself some time, effort, and the irritation that not knowing the answer to my question would cause me. Having it constantly in the back of my mind while I'm playing the game would get annoying after awhile, and it's paid off anyway.

My Orc went with Lycanthropy. It's so much better, you don't have to do anything to maintain it, and the only real downside is the lack of the Rested buffs. As long as nobody in town sees you transform, you're golden.
