Some body needs to create a mod so the armour doesn't look like Darth-Vader made a lovechild with Boba-Fett*

(They call her Darth-Bett.)

Or a robot from 27th Century Roman Empire. Are Dwarves 7 feet tall?

The glass and elven armours are even worse. At least the elven armour I can context into the Thalmor being complete twats but the glass armour looks like something a hermit crab would crawl into.

*He probably did, If I was gay or female I'd totally write that fan-fic.

Hmm.. I actually quite like the armour in this game, except for one thing; it just lacks some good, old-school, no muss-no fuss chainmail! Well, there is some mail in Stormcloak armour, but not enough.

In Elder Scrolls? Yes. They're basically techno-elves instead of your shortarse beardy dwarves.

And the only fix I can prescribe to the Ebony armour is to make it so its helmet actually fits Argonians and doesn't just cut half their face away.

of course, the answer to all your ails is just... Daedric armour. Oh god yes.

Once your amour skill gets to a certain level, most armour is just an aesthetic choice anyway.

What you're really after is the armour with good enchantments. That's why Nightingale armour is my light armour of choice. It looks awesome, and has a great set of buffs for a thief build.

I'm chucking it on my support character. I'm rockin a Blacksmith Apron of Smithing among other buffed stuff that ive created. It was pretty fun for a while pretending Lydia was a robot but now she's in ebony armour its giving me the heebie geebies.

Um quick question, WHERE CAN I FIND THIS ARMOR? Seriously I'm almost level 30 and I'm still stuck with steel heavy armor, I just can't find anything else.

Try learning smithing!

If you sink enough points into that skill, then you, yes, YOU, can make every type of quality armor available in the game!

Smithing is your friend. As long as you continue clearing dungeons, you're bound to find higher level stuff eventually, but much later than you'd be able to craft it. Plus, smiths can improve armor and weapons by more than 50% if they're skilled and equipped properly.

Edit: ninja'd

LOL WHAT????? should be an odd piece here and there being sold by shops. dwarven and glass armor should be dropping from enemies and found in chests quite often and ebony should be starting to drop as well. but in Skyrim the best way to get new and better enchanted armor is to make it yourself.grab as much leather and leather strips and ingiots and find a forge and start the grind....

The armours look fine. The dwarven one is based on dwarven design and has been refitted if not outright smithed and made by current day smiths (Can't explain why they get that big in the ruins though). The Ebony armour would look better if you could see into the helmet atleast.... Wonder how he keeps it all so dark in broad daylight. And there ought to be a mod on skyrim nexus that adds a gold trim to the ebony armour wich makes it look more like the earlier ones and alot better.

And how do we know how tall the dwemer were? They're all gone remember? ;) And orcs are elves, go figure.
The Dwarves weren't short [http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Dwemer#Appearance]. They got the name from the race of giants they lived near. The Dwarves are actually elves as well. All "Mer" races are elves (Altmer, Dunmer, Bosmer, Orsimer, Falmer, Dwemer).

I like the ebony armor. It looks especially nice on females, just remove the helmet. I am really disappointed in the Dragon armor though. 100 Smithing for a couple of points increase in armor. Shouldn't Dragon scales and bones have some natural resistances built in or something?

You will have to wait until January when Bethesda will release the tool kit.

Also, can you say "awesome"?

Yes, the one is the rogue armor from World of Warcraft and the other is Sauron from LotR. But they are still awesome. And the Daedric armor glows in the dark! :)

for a female - give them highly upgraded orcish, it's open face so it looks pretty good if the character has a decent face

The "Dwarves" were normal sized elves, actually. Also you can find a Dwemer skeleton in one of the ruins, it's the on you go to for the Mage College quest line. There's a Master locked door and a dwemer skeleton laying on the bed (well, I assume it is dwemer).

The Dwemer are often referred to as "Dwarves" in western cultures, although they were no shorter than a human and the name seems to have been derived from a supposed encounter with giants who saw the Dwemer as short. They were a reclusive, independent race, dedicated to the principles of science, alchemy, and engineering. They did not die out; instead, the entire race vanished into thin air all at the same time around the world. Yagrum Bagarn was the only known remaining living Dwemer on Nirn. Yagrum Bagarn resided in the Corprusarium deep beneath the island of Vvardenfell, in the Morrowind province of Tamriel. He had been infected by corprus, granting him eternal life, but constant pain. He was searching for clues to the whereabouts of his race when the Nerevarine discovered him.

Anyway, I'm rocking dragonscale and Lydia is in dragonplate and it's pretty bad ass.
