Did he just assume the Dwemer were short because they are referred to as Dwarves? Oh man, get ready for a bunch of replies telling you they are regular height in the Elder Scrolls games. I really wish we could have ran into one in Skyrim, even just that same one from Morrowind again, that'd be cool.

Er. No.
The Dwemer aren't the kind of 'Dwarves' we normally think of.
They're elves.
Or mer-kind, more accurately.
Like Altmer, Chimer (Dunmer now), Bosmer, Orsimer, etc.
They weren't even that short.
For elves, that is.
Bosmer are short too anyway.

They're called 'dwarves' because that's what the ancient Nords, or giants depending on which version of the lore you go by, called them, as the Dwemer were midgets by comparison.
Nords used to be enormous in the old lore.
So large that if there weren't already actual giants in the lore, the Nords would be the giants.

The armours look fine. The Ebony armour would look better if you could see into the helmet atleast.... Wonder how he keeps it all so dark in broad daylight. And there ought to be a mod on skyrim nexus that adds a gold trim to the ebony armour wich makes it look more like the earlier ones and alot better.

And how do we know how tall the dwemer were? They're all gone remember? ;) And orcs are elves, go figure.
You meet a dwarf in Morrowind. The Dwemer were elves (thus, mer). They were also called the "deep elves."

The only problem I have with the armor in Skyrim is the female versions of it.
Just how massive do their boobs need to look?!
For example, the OP picture just looks ridiculous with those two orbs on the front...
I'm okay with armor following the female curves, but when it looks like massive silicone implants it just feels wrong.

Once your amour skill gets to a certain level, most armour is just an aesthetic choice anyway.

What you're really after is the armour with good enchantments. That's why Nightingale armour is my light armour of choice. It looks awesome, and has a great set of buffs for a thief build.
The illusion bonus on the hood makes it perfect for vampires, too. :3

Daedric Armor and Nightingale Armor. The only armors I need.

Nightengale one doesn't look that bad though. Maybe its just the ebony armor. IDK I play a mage and a thief so I haven't used any heavy armors yet.

Actually, Yagrum Bagarn isn't even the only dwarf you you meet in Morrowind - when exploring Dwarven ruins, you come across a number of Dwemer spectres, which look like fairly normal-sized Elves wearing ancient Sumerian-style beards and outfits.

So you're saying looking like a Sith/bounty hunter and robotic centurion is bad? right...

Sorry mate. Bethesda has better taste than you.
Ebony armour is awesome, and dwarven armour has its own charm.
Also, the dwemer aren't actually dwarves, they're elves. But I see people have already told you that.

Dragon Armour looks pretty cool methinks but my character doesn't like the heavy armour, but his hirelings are wearing them but the robes, and shoes and circlets, they are fun.

I for the most part like the armor in Skyrim.

Although I will admit, as an Argonian, it looks a little weird to have a helmet on that clearly looks like it was made for the more human classes. Unless there is some hidden lore that states that Argonians have the ability to push in their faces when they put on helmets.

dunno. you go down the super serious realistic armour route you get people screaming about how its a fantasy game and the armours dont need to be realistic, so you go down the fantastical route and you get people screaming about how stupid it looks.

all i know is that the elven is pretty awesome.

You will have to wait until January when Bethesda will release the tool kit.

Also, can you say "awesome"?

-Daedric snip-

Yes, the one is the rogue armor from World of Warcraft and the other is Sauron from LotR. But they are still awesome. And the Daedric armor glows in the dark! :)
Regarding the sweet looking Nightingale Armor, may I direct you to a retexture mod that looks even sweeter?

Especially not the butt ugly dragon armors... Man they are horrible.
I kind of like them, although they're a tad boring being beige. However, there's some great mods that add colour or even change them quite significantly.
