This happened just yesterday night.

Me and my travel party (Myself, faithful horse Allie, my wife Aela the Huntress, and our lovable mutt Meeko) were traveling to back home to Jorrvaskr when we came across a fortress filled with bandits upon bandits upon bandits (I feel it was some sort of glitch because there was seriously a ton). As soon as they saw us they began firing arrows from the walls.

Allie and Meeko charged straight into the base to give them hell while Aela and myself stayed outside to pick off the bowmen with some of our own arrows.

Then, from seemingly nowhere, I see a giant charging into the fort! I panic, my horse and dog (Both of whom I have grown extremely attached to) are in there.

I draw my blade and shield and dash into the fray. It's chaos in the base. As I run in Allie is running out, she's safe, I'm happy. Meeko is barking and growling somewhere nearby. The giant is dealing with the bandits while the bandits scramble to take us all on. An Orc with a big old sword swings at me, a side-step and stick my blade right into his collar.

Then we hear it.

That tell-tale roar as a dragon lands right in the base! Aela follows into the base along with Allie. So for the next few minutes it's a giant cluster-you-know-what of bandits, my party, a giant, and a dragon all going at it in this now very cramped fort.

When the dragon finally falls, I realize the giant was already dead. There are several bandits still alive, who now turn their attention on me. And only me. I look to my left, across the fort... Aela is dead. Allie's corpse a few feet from her. I don't hear any barking... And it all started with these goddamn bandits.

I lose it, immediately transform into my wolf form and ravage the rest of the bandits, taking care to feed on each and every one of those sons of bitches.

Near the top of the fort walls is where I find Meeko's body... I stood near the edge of the wall and let out a loud, powerful roar of anguish (the werewolf roar is amazing)....

Then I reload my last save. No way I was gonna let them stay dead!

Only in Skyrim. I love this game.
Aww, it would have been kind of epic if you'd not reloaded and become a vengeful beast intent on wiping out the neitre Bandit population of Skyrim.
I half agree, that is a hella-cool story. I feel like the value of that story is just so immense, it'd make for a good redirecting of intent in the game. But it's rough to lose so many allies you've become attached to.

Not really any epic ones yet, until last night. I played for maybe 1.5hrs and managed to take down 2 dragons! There was a lightning one which attacked Riverrun. That was fun except that the stupid blacksmith dude got the killing blow... The 2nd one attacked me in the middle of the forest. It was a frost dragon. I summoned my flame atronach (sp?), Lydia pulled out her Orcish bow, and I firebolted it as much as I could. It was pretty sweet, took a lot of time though because I didn't have any magicka potions. I ended up killing it with a summoned sword so that was fun.

Right.
I was in a mine, chilling at the back mining away at some iron to make my banded iron right.
And everything was deadly quiet. Even the music had stopped playing, it was eerie.
And then out of NOWHERE A SKEEVER jumps out of the shadows and hits me, so I punched it square in the jaw.
But then if that wasn't enough, a VENOMOUS SKEEVER jumps out and I'm like WHEN WILL IT END?!?!?!
but then I remembered I was level 41 and smashed it with my Daedric Greatsword.

First time I ran into a cave bear, I started attacking it when I realized it just took out three quarters of my health with a single swing, so I back up and turn around as I sheath my weapon... Then shout away from it and start running as fast as I can, orman is with me (names off, he's the Nord wizard) and keeping up for once, he's cowering as he runs. Still even though I'm ripping across the snow just as fast as I can go, I can hear that bear gaining and I'm running low on stamina. And then ,WRRRoooaaaghhhhh ! Fly by right over my head ! Damn, it was close, must'a been less than four feet away. About the time I realize how screwed I am I look back to the path and see three Ice wolves barreling towards me... (dinner! I hear them think)

So, what the hell?. just about the time the dovakin tempo hits it's peak, I slow my speed time my distance and jump over the little mutt's head just in time to see them all die in a spasm of chain lighting and rag doll physics... right off the cliff !
Yellow belly has finally gotten his nerve back ;} I heal up as the bear takes a nice jolt of dr. tesla, then run up and crit the bastard, EAT IT! (he bites intsead) I shout blowing his carcass right off the cliff after the puppies.

Funny I'm thinking, where has the dragon been all this time ? THUMMMMPPPHH !!! I turn around annnnnnnnd.... munch. Stupid lizard does the death shake then tosses my body right off the edge, right in the pile with the other winners.

Any large-scale fight is pretty awesome as a Spellsword who's finished the main quest. Attacking a Stormcloak base by calling in a dragon and summoning a Dremora, and then charging in with a Bound Blade in one hand and a Firebolt in the other... Great fun.

Other than that, it's mostly just been hard, scripted fights, not even dragons tend to be much of a challenge on that character. I did 1-shot the Hagraven in Hag's End with my 2-handed warrior (crit with sprinted power attack with an enchanted Dwemer Greatsword), but it seems that crashed my computer so not that great really.

My favourite battle so far was on a tower bridge not far from Whiterun. Me and my companion versus about 7 or 8 bandits. I went with my usual strategy of fury spells and with a conjured sword as backup. The fun part was that the walkway of the bridge was very thin with quite a drop into some jagged rocks and a fast flowing river. It was quite difficult to stay on the bridge while fighting a group bandits, while they fight each, whilst fending off zombie bandits. Swords flying, bodies plunging to their watery doom eventually me and my companion whittled the bandits down to just one, who was getting a pounding from my companion when I was suddenly I was hit by an arrow from another bandit on the top of one of the towers.

Quickly I sprinted across the bridge to the top of the tower taking more hits from the archer. Once I got to the archer I was dangerously low on health and no magicka left so I took a chance on my at the time very weak unrelenting force shout. The shout caused the archer to loose his footing on the tower and he fell off the tower landing neck first on the bridge before plunging into the rapids below. I went down to the river after the battle to see if I could find the bodies but I only found one of bandits washed up on the shore.

End of the Companions quests as an archer...
You kill a giant invisible wolf with a red outline who moves super fast which means the only chance you get at hitting it with a ranged attack is when it's eating your face. It kills you before you fully transform into a werewolf. You simply have to run down long narrow passage ways and shoot and run again or stack paralysis poisons.

Oh wait, it was annoying not great.

Yeah, no great battles yet. First dragon fight was kind of fun with me shooting at it from a tower but meh. I get enough enjoyment sniping people and then kitty clawing them if they get to me.
Hey, the spoiler tag in your post isn't necessarily working, if you had wanted to fix it. You need to finish it with [*/spoiler], without the star.

I honestly considered changing my entire game up, shunning my goody goody ways and becoming a beast of the night. I mean, I no longer had anything to lose. Better now to just roam the wilds and kill any bandits I come across. I DO have immediately after the fight saved...

But after near fifty hours with Aela and them I just can't bring myself to do it. zenoaugustus, you hit it square on the head. I've grown extremely attached to the lot of them. Allie was my first horse.

I remember selling and saving up to get to a thousand just to buy her, and I've protected her fiercely ever since, as she has protected me. Aela was my first companion of any notable length.

I completed the Companions quest line straight after my first dragon. I just got so hooked to that group. I loved them. I haven't even bought a house because I just live there at Jorrvaskr. And I liked Aela. She was there for near all of the major story events. I even married her! And I absolutely adore Meeko. Aela and I found him on accident.

We were staying in Morthal, on our way to get the horn, when a dragon flew overhead. We gave chase through a swamp and found him just sitting by the road. He's been at my side ever since.

So yeah, to lose them all in one horrible (but awesome) battle was hard. Seeing their corpses laying there was rough on me. Still, I'll keep that file just in case I want to explore that "nothing to lose" style.

Fighting Hollindal in his Carin was pretty fun. It's especially fun if your a stealth based character. The enemies are fun to deal with; but it's the boss battle that you really want! It's a very quick dungeon just west-south-west of Falkreath. (Pardon me for any misspellings)

My battle with a Frost Dragon outside King Olaf's tomb. I was forced to hide behind pillars to hide from the frost breath, and used up all my arrows and damn well near all my magic and stamina potions. I also had no health potions. I occasionally had to run inside the tomb and heal. Then, I finally beat it. I love this game.

I had the pleasure and unfortunate experience of running into a Krosis priest and it took me about 20 minutes to kill, i had to do a strafing run and hit it with fire breath shout and take a few hacks at it then run away like a little girl to heal myself

I got to the bottom of Labyrintian at lvl 13. The lich down there, Morokei, could cast lightning bolts that took 75% of my Health in one hit, and my Apprentice level spells barely scratched it. It was a long fight that involved lots of sprinting with deadly lightning bolts splashing one step behind me. I'd run to the end of a long hallway, activate the Time Stop shout, hit Morokei with a few of my own lightning bolts, then hide. He'd slowly float over to my side of the hallway, giving my mana a chance to regen, then it was time to pop around the corner and make a mad dash to the other side of the hall, dodging all the way.

The elf that tries to steal the staff from you as you exit was a joke after that. A single Time Stop/Lightning Bolt sequence downed him before he'd finished threatening to kill me.

See everyone that said Morokei. Dunno if I just got screwed out of a hard fight but he never hit me back. At all.

Best I had was on my way to a quest objective I got attacked in a forsworn camp by a dragon and a Frost Dragon, I managed to kill them before another Frost Dragon attacks the camp. I have no idea if that one died because the forsworn in the camp killed me before I could try looting it.

What? How? Did you do this fight at level 45 or something? I was in my twenties, if I recall properly, when I took him on, and it was a hell of a fight.

I was level 14ish. I just ran at him with a Skyforge steel sword, and he never hit back whilst I was hacking at him. Guess it bugged out.

Fighting a blood dragon in the middle of an Aurora Borealis.
Hell yeah, they even deigned to give me that sweet ass music to play for me in the background.

Fighting a group of necromancers, their master conjurer, and their summoned undead in a massive keep, only to have a Blood Dragon drop on top of us. INTENSE!

My first death lord fight. I encountered one in a crypt, it was an archer (same as me) I kept sneaking around, shooting it they retreating into the shadows. It wasn't intense but it was fun. After I beat him (which was harder than it sounds because his bow could one-shot-drop me) I continued on and fell down a pit where another death lord awaited me with a giant claymore. Having lost the element of surprise I was forced to dart from end to end of the room chipping away at his health with my new bow. It was ridiculously intense and probably my favorite moment in the game thus far.
