As the title states, I'm currently loving skyrim like so many others, but there is one particular thing thats annoying the crap out of me. Namely a certain bunch of fire-breathing scaly angels that happen to have ADD.

I mean sure, I can understand that the dragons might want to spread around the frost breath love, especially against my cheerfully immune to frost Nord, but that doesn't change the fact that they seemingly have ADD. I mean, I'M THE DRAGON BORN, I've gutted a dozen of his brothers, eat their souls with mead and honey before looking for more to blast with foul language.

I'm basically the biggest threat in the entire world for them... so why the hell are the dragons flying off and attacking mud-crabs, or deciding that my horse is far tastier then my delicious self. Must I remove all my armour and cover myself in tomato sauce to get their attention?

bath on goats blood, spread oil arround making arrow symbols towards you, then light them, and hope a dragon flies above you in the middle of the night...

*note: Bears and wolfs may also appear considering you bathed on goats blood....

This made me laugh. It's true, but also if you could fly, why would you ever land and make yourself a target? Surely it would make more sense to sweep overhead. Silly Dragons.

I have had the same thought, I once spent ten minutes trying to shoot at a dragon as it repeatedly slammed itself the side of a mountain, ignored me, killed my horse, then deciding to fly away, leaving me angry, confused and short about 30 arrows.

I haven't really seen enough of them.

I'm so confused with this, I have 13 hours played, which seems like a decent amount 2 days after release, but everyone I talk to has already seen so many more dragons than I have.

I've only seen 2 main-quest dragons and 2 random ones. Am I just spending way too much time on side-quests?

I'm more disappointed in the fact that they are pathetically easy to kill. Mammoths and giants are far more difficult.

I've seen about that many as well. You tend to find more if you just randomly ride around exploring. Which is fun for its own sake as well.

I've got not problem with them not landing, provided they stay attacking me rather then have me constantly running to my horse in order to follow the bastards and try and shoot them.

No! That attracts a Sea-Bear!

OT:I like them well enough. I just thank talos that (shut up I'm a stormcloak) they aren't like Cliff Racers....could you imagine?

The dragons start appearing more frequently as you progress through the main story, or at least that's how it seems to me, though I could be wrong and it might just be coincidence.

Stormcloak scum! Have at thee!

OT: I'm quite happy with the dragons actually, but with your situation, they clearly think mudcrabs are more of a threat than you, and if you're a nord, the dragons are probably right.

They've been acting enough like it. REALLY annoying when I tried to get Azures star at level two only to have a dragon decide it was dinner time

I found the dragons to be immensely disappointing just because of how easy and common they are.
Every time I go to explore the wilderness I find a dragon, and I'm able to kill it within seconds of it landing.

I love it when they don't attack me. Not because I'm afraid of them (which I'm totally not, ok... shut up, but because they're just so cool to watch and that makes them seem like part of the world. Not everyone dragon is out to get me, they're just out there bein' dragons and doin' dragon stuff. You go, dragons. You go.

Although there was one time I tried to get the attention. I had just talked to a group of really cool travelling Khajiit and a few minutes later a dragon flew over my head straight in their direction. Not wanting them to get killed because they were awesome I ran after, yelling and shooting my flames in hopes of getting its attention.

It didn't work, and after a few minutes it just flew away.

Dragon PRIESTS on the other hand... fuck those fucking fuckers.

I get the feeling it only wanted to troll you.
Also, just flying away is probably the most intelligent thing a dragon can do in this game.

Same here. Since its release, I've played about 20 hours and I've only met 2 dragons during the main quest and only 1 randomly.

I have found them to be very underwhelming as my major complaint. I've only faced seven of them so far and killed all seven without even breaking a sweat. I run into a group of 4-5 bandits and I have to drink potions and get creative with strategy. A dragon though I can beat without any difficulty. I assume it is partly because they are a main gameplay element and they were worried they'd become too hard or kill every NPC in the world.

i think the issue with dragons is that as long as you have some resistance (even potions will do) they cant really kill you.
Oh my god. I never thought of using potions before. Why... why, that's genius! I'd always get so pissed when a Dragon's fire breath brought my health down half-way in one... roary-thingy. I never thought to use a fire-resistant potion before. Or fire resistant clothes! Oh my god, I'm stupid.

Of course, I'm a Nord, so I use Frost Dragon Breath to shower. (It really works between the cheeks.)
