My biggest issue with the Dragons in Skyrim is that they're actually Wyverns.

Yeah, I know, it's nitpicking, but if you start calling Wyverns "Dragons", then what's next? Calling Knives "Forks"? Calling Men "Women"!? Calling Red Leicester "Stilton"!?!?! That's the road to madness, that's what that is....

I like them, too powerful and you'd hate their existence, not powerful enough and you'd barely care.

The majority of my fights are made easy only because an imperial legion happens to be nearby, lots of arrows plus my three word dragon breath equals tasty soul munching.

Also anyone who is struggling to come across dragons, try roderons retreat (dungeon with bandits inside, spelling may be off a little), usually if I spawn there a dragon turns up after a few seconds and starts dismantling mammoth faces.

Be aware though that when they die, they don't patrol as much for a little while, so don't expect to run into them by spamming fast travels to previous destination.

p.s, buy a house, then you can store all those hefty dragon remains instead of hauling them around all day worrying about respawning chests in the companions guild.

That, my good man, was one FIERCE mudcrab.
Much more fearsome than you.

You just had to mention the language, thus it reminded me of this:

Wow, if I ever met a dragon that was that much into grammar I think he'd be my new best friend.
That was one of the saddest comics i've ever read. Really funny tho.

One dragon I fought got distracted by a mammoth. It did most of the work for me in killing it.

Kind of makes sense I guess, dragons gotta eat too.

This made me laugh. It's true, but also if you could fly, why would you ever land and make yourself a target? Surely it would make more sense to sweep overhead. Silly Dragons.
Maybe they get tired...

That is pretty weird, but that would make them virtually unbeatable for Melee types.

I'm more disappointed in the fact that they are pathetically easy to kill. Mammoths and giants are far more difficult.
Don't forget Frost Trolls.

The story ones are easy, but this one Dragon I encountered in the wild forced me to lower the difficulty.

HE NEVER FUCKING LANDED!.

I've fought 9 of them. Nine. the number after 8. 1 + 8 = 9. NINE. 7 of them were like one of the 4 most difficult breeds to kill or some crap like that. 1 of them was story and one glitched into a tree after which I killed it in about 1 minute with the help of a friendly giant who I got stuck under a bridge and shocked in the crotch with a dualcasted spark for about 10-15 minutes. I had to lower the difficulty significantly, as you may have guessed.

At least now I don't have to worry about having a Soul when I find a new Word of Power...I hope...

When I met an random dragon a hunter and her horse got in the way of its frostbreath. The horse ended up tanking the dragon while I rained fire on it. Quite a hilarious moment. I stole that horse from the hunter afterward. Clearly it was a dragonborn horse.
This story was awesome. My horse just died when it got attacked by a dragon... and after we'd bonded too! Her name was Allie... :(

I actually had to chase the third dragon I found down. I kept hurling Fire Bolts at him while he passed overhead, then when his HP got down to about half he flew off, and so I had to sprint like a mofo in fear of losing a new dragon soul. Turns out he was busy frost-breathing a Necromancer to death. The fuck? Dude, I just shot you in the face with FIREBALLS, why are you suddenly so interested in killing this goth wizard?

Then of course another fireball to the face made him tired, so he landed off in the wood, so I had to run through the forest to find him AGAIN, where I find him killing a deer.

A friend of mine was fighting a dragon last night, and mid-battle it flew over a mountain out of sight. Suddenly, it started howling with pain and taking random damage from something that was not my friend. And then, lo and behold, it dies. My friend tried and tried to get over the mountain, but couldn't manage it, and ended up having to reload and fight the thing again.

We think it was a mammoth.

Horses in this game are quite clearly Dragonborn. I'm starting to think Talos was conceived by a horse.

I saved Riften from a random dragon attack with six guardsmen and a horse. You could not keep that horse away from the dragon. I even force-shouted him to get him out of the way of the dragon's breath....and he just came back to kick the dragon in the head some more!
However, it almost didn't compare to the guards' approach to the fight. One of them said "If the Whiterun guards can kill a dragon, so can we.", and five of his mates swaggered up the road with him.

Another time, I got into a fight with two vampires. I got off my horse...and at that moment, Lydia charged past and laid into one vampire, while my horse trampled the other to death. I didn't even have a chance to get involved.

Skyrim's horses really ARE hardcore.

Also. Rest in peace, Lydia. Know that your killers lie inside out around your untouched body. You really bring out the beast in me. Roar.

I was trying to fight a dragon, but it seemed to think that a pack of 3 wolves was more deadly then my bow wielding dragonborn, so I had to run around a mountain to kill it.

I am liking the Dragons so far. I like them less though when they grab and eat my horse AKA my only quick way to anything.

As the title states, I'm currently loving skyrim like so many others, but there is one particular thing thats annoying the crap out of me. Namely a certain bunch of fire-breathing scaly angels that happen to have ADD.

I mean sure, I can understand that the dragons might want to spread around the frost breath love, especially against my cheerfully immune to frost Nord, but that doesn't change the fact that they seemingly have ADD. I mean, I'M THE DRAGON BORN, I've gutted a dozen of his brothers, eat their souls with mead and honey before looking for more to blast with foul language.

I'm basically the biggest threat in the entire world for them... so why the hell are the dragons flying off and attacking mud-crabs, or deciding that my horse is far tastier then my delicious self. Must I remove all my armour and cover myself in tomato sauce to get their attention?
I had one attack me out of no-where, and then run off to eat mammoths and giants. I chased him down in the end btw. Also, have you ever considered that tehy are just afraid of you and are attacking the less intimidating things first :p

That never happened to me...ever.

Although then again I'm playing the game on expert difficulty. Are you playing it on novice?
Playing on whatever the default difficulty is, as I couldn't be bothered trying to change it.

Stormcloak scum! Have at thee!

OT: I'm quite happy with the dragons actually, but with your situation, they clearly think mudcrabs are more of a threat than you, and if you're a nord, the dragons are probably right.
Oh that's cold.

Tee hee... Get it?

Cold.

Like Skyrim.

I hate my life.
