If you honestly think that you are superior to someone because they don't like the same things you do , you are truly pathetic, and have no business forcing your opinions on other people as if they were objective facts.
You believe yourself superior to people who like doing something you don't (game elitism).
You are forcing your opinions on them ("you are pathetic for doing this").
You are stating all of those opinions as objective facts.
And you are insulting this demographic, completely oblivious to the fact that you are among its numbers.

I thank you for this bounty of unadulterated irony, OP, it's rare to witness such a gleaming example in the wild.
In order:

No, I do not.
No, I am not.
No, I am not.
No, I am not, because I am not.

Thank you for wasting my time and completely missing the point of the thread. Best wishes.

Skyrim fans are the most fanatic and annoying fans around. They even beat CoD fanboys.
I couldn't have said it better myself since the ever growing and ongoing threads of Skyrim have literally put COD to shame and it's only been 8 days!.

Back on topic i think both are just as inferior since when do we have to claim one game is superior than the other when we can just buy both or other games and get along without shouting which game is GOTY or which game boasts better graphics when the entire gaming medium is composed of great games.

And for the record i didn't get Skyrim or MW3 because i have other time to invest in gaming other than two games i knew were going to get flak from the very beginning.

Quoting: Youre doing it wrong. AAAND I CORRECTED YOUR POST.
Not that that matters though...
AAAANYWAY, No one talking about superiority, it's just a fact ;) By taking this too seriously, you're just giving me more to go on.
Since you're obviously a fan of skyrim, so I'm going to stop generalising and say this directly to you. Just because a lot of people on the escapist - A generally intelligent and well balanced community - like skyrim and think MW3 is shit, that doesn't make them correct. Just as the MW3 community probably think skyrim is shit. Neither of you is right, and neither of you is wrong. However, I judge everyone (you included, by the looks of things) who gets a massive superiority complex-boner over the fact that the games they enjoy are 'better' to be an asshole not worth my time.
MEEEP Wrong. I'm a HUGE MW Series Fan! So all your arguments were just rendered INVALID. Maybe you shouldn't judge.
The point of that post wasn't to be superior, I was being sarcastic. Trying to point out this, MW3 Will think Their game is better than skyrim and Skyrim fans will say their game is better than MW, it's a matter of personal taste, there's no point in making a rant about it and telling me I'm an asshole. I like both, very very much, MW is my favorite FPS because of it's fun singleplayer and TES is my favorite RPG. But comparing them is stupid, I don't.

Don't go judging if you don't understand the sarcasm. I love MW and I love TES, this thread is stupid. Get it? And no, not understanding the sarcasm doesn't make you stupid, I think you might be smart, just judgemental.

If you can't make sarcasm obvious using text, then don't try. Also don't use caps like that: that's what the bold and italic functions are for. Finally, I don't see why you're arguing with me; our arguments are identical. (The games are essentially different and therefore no-one is better than anyone else based on their preference)

So fans who buy a $60 dollar game with 300 hours of gameplay that has been in development for 5 years aren't superior to fans who buy a $60 game with 4 hours of gameplay that has been in development for 2 years? At the very least, skyrim fans are better at spending money.
i do not claim to understand the CoD/BF fan base, but i do understand this much.

they will be online frgagging each other for that 300 hours, easy. and honestly :p how many CoD/BF players you think actually TOUCH the single player.

its 2 different games aim at 2 different groups of people, one isn't better then the other in any way shape or form, to suggest so is laughable
Supposedly only 30% of COD players ever go online.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I don't agree with your post. Mainly, the reason why it took so many years for Bethesda to complete Skyrim is because of trying to get everything as right as possible, and improve graphics which is never easy (especially for PC). However, imagine if every game came out within 5 to 10 years... we would all be completely bored out of our minds.

If MW3 took 5 years to be completed... people would flip. If Gears of War took 8 years to complete.. people would not only feel compelled but also question why a game such as a first person shooter took so long spite the big improvements. Elder Scrolls has an excuse for taking so long because it's an open world RPG, yet because you can spend so many hours playing quests.. it's worth the wait until the next one comes out.

For MW3, 2 years is a good factor due to the multiplayer quickly becomes the same dull thing after some time so if you're a fan, love first person shooters and want a break from an RPG game like Skyrim, you can jump on MW3 which is worth $60 due to how much they've improved the game along with how addictive it is. As long as you have fun, then the game counts.
I disagree. While the amount of content certainly has something to do with release cycles, COD has been switching between the same two engines since COD 3, while elder scrolls has revamped their entire rendering, physics, and dialogue technology for every release. In fact, from a technological perspective, COD has become less advanced, as World at War featured drive-able vehicles, and no other COD games have used that since.

*shrugs* like i said, its not my field of expertise, but my other comment still stands.

Skyrim has dragons. MW3 does not. Skyrim brings new things to the series and was in development for YEARS. MW3 probably took 5 minutes to throw a campaign together and copy all the graphics from MW2.

Skyrim wins. If only because of the dragons.

Edit: I never thought I would get tired of hearing about things within a week (I am brony, so I know what it is like to be a part of a group that has 234567 billion threads) yet Skyrim is starting to bug me.
